Tirac dragged the tip of his sword on the ground as he stalked off to the remaining invaders. One looked like the boss, the other his loyal lackey. Normally, he would take out the boss for and clean up the remaining lackeys at his leisure, but a lackey wielding healing magic, he got priority.

The area seemed to be devoid of living people now. The thief caught a glimpse of fallen soldiers around the place. It seemed like whoever was fighting them was doing a great job. Perhaps she wouldn't even have to get her hands dirty. The thought delighted her as she dashed along. Keeping her eyes on the prince, she kept thinking of her handsome reward. Sure, there would be some hard work to come, but finally, she had an honorable job...and she could steal a bit on the side, though keeping some for herself while trading other things to her new allies in arms. It was sure to get interesting being around the royal family.

She was ready to get on the road, but it seemed that the others seemed to be having trouble dispatching the boss. Being at a disadvantage both level wise, skill wise, and magic type wise, she knew her intervention was not needed. But Tirac would definitely need a Vulnerary. Hopefully he still had one so she wouldn't need to lend him one.

Rhyme was quickly approaching the action. She still wasn't sure what the fighters were facing, but it didn't seem as if there were very many enemies left. It wouldn't take long for her to see who the last one standing was.

Ready for round two (technically round one since he didn't attack yet,) Tirac rushed back into the fray. Four dashing leaps brought him close enough and he hit the breaks. He slid to a halt beside the target and immediately slashed out horizontally at the enemy spellcaster. Not even looking to see what damage he dealt, he cringed in anticipation of the counter attack.

When Vyn ran out of the castle, Jane and their bodyguards had finished everything up. Although Vyn was happy that he didn't have to fight, he was unhappy about meeting and recruiting a thief that has constantly been giving him headaches. Vyn pinched the bridge of his nose again and looked back at Rhyme hoping that she would introduce herself without him having to say anything.

Rhyme noticed the prince running off. She guessed he had other things to take care of since the battle was over. The thief looked around to see who was left behind: a couple of girls and some myrmidon. One of the girls appeared to be a magician of sorts; they were usually pretty wealthy. Besides, she couldn't help but notice how cute the girl was. The thief straightened herself up and approached her as if to greet her, but suddenly dashed around her and grabbed her from behind in a tight embrace.

"Oh ho ho! Look what I captured!" she exclaimed cheerily. "I managed to nab a real cutie this time!" The ecccentric thief rubbed her cheek against the young girl's. "Mind telling me your name, girl? Mine's Rhyme, if you must know." She hoped the other two wouldn't misjudge her intentions; it wasn't as if she was taking the girl hostage or anything.

"My name is Snow Rune. Rhyme... I would prefer if you stay as far away from me as possible."

Snow was quite annoyed at the new woman much older than her grabbing her and taking a hold of her. It may have been affectionate for the thief, but for her it was uncomfortable. She slipped out of the thief's grip and ran to Vyn, hopefully escaping whatever the thief had planned for her next.

"You didn't hire her as a bodyguard. Did you?"

Vyn saw Snow running toward him, probably away from Rhyme as well. That girl can really make people feel uncomfortable, not to mention she's been giving Vyn a headache that wouldn't go away since he met her. Vyn sighed at Snow's question and nodded, he wasn't exactly sure what Rhyme did to the young mage but he'd have to try to keep the thief away from her at all times.

"Yes, I did. Did she do something to you?" Vyn asked.

With that the young mage turned from him in a huff, she was very unhappy with the decision. The girl seemed more trouble than she was worth, what with her obsessive side. If she acted that was towards everyone, there was no telling what would happen, though Snow had a good idea of what could.

Chapter 2: A Daring Rescue

Vyn sighed and called out to everyone, it was time for them to depart. And their first destination was an outpost that has recently been attacked. One of the few people that Vyn and Jane is close to, the Cleric Radiance, was there during the time.

Arriving at the outpost, Vyn's fears were confirmed, the outpost had fallen and Radiance was either dead or captured. The prince hoped it was the latter, and that Radiance was still at the camp. Nevertheless, they'd have to raid this place first.

Snow starts at Z7!

Snow was quite fine with the trip to the outpost, she had stuck close to Vyn, and had evaded most attempts for Rhyme to get close to her. As they reached the hideout, she took out her tome, barely used in the previous battle. She knew the mission, it was quite easy to follow. Apparently, the place they were raiding had someone of importance. A Cleric who had taken care of her protectees, which meant rescuing her (Considering she was still alive) was of utmost importance.

Radiance had been captured for quite some time now. Having gone out to look for the young prince and princess, she had been taken captive in the process. And while to most it would seem like all hope was lost, Radiance wasn't worried for herself in the slightest. She yearned to know of the children she had taught and mended, if they were still in this world.

"You do realize you are on the wrong side no?"

She spoke to the guard in front of her cell.

The first thought upon arrival was focused on whether or not there would be any treasure for her to pilfer. By the looks of things, it just seemed as if there were a bunch of bad guys. What was a thief to do? Kill something? She guessed that would work. Choosing a place next to Vyn, she smiled.

"Oh, Prince. Whatever are we to do about so many enemies, hm?" she asked in mock innocence, poking Vyn in the arm. "Are we to stab them? Break their bones? Smash their skulls? Oho! A mixture of the three perhaps?" She stopped her barrage of words only to be replaced with laughter.
