A band of merry people... on a SHIP 8D?

I've been watching a lot of One Piece, and been playing several One Piece games, as well as reading the Manga. It's gotten to the point that I've decided I'd like to try a Roleplay like this, but I don't just want to make it. Before I go into detail, I would like to say this will be a Statistical Roleplay. But it doesn't matter if you don't know how to roleplay the statistical style because I'll help you out, along with the others that may join this Rp. With that said let me begin.

I would like this to be a small group of people, ranging from two others plus me to three others plus me. We will start off with little more than an upgraded life boat, one cannon, little food, and no gold to our names. But as we go, we'll take down some of the most ruthless Pirates of time, run from the navy, explore vast lands I have in mind, and become rich beyond our wildest dreams. However, the whole idea of Piracy and riding around collecting treasure is just one part of it. There will be plenty of time to travel on foot and fight on land rather than sea, maybe even have a little romance.
