Surprised, Michelle was unable to stop Marilyn from grabbing her face and stretching it. It took the archer a moment before she could pull herself out of Marilyn's grip and she rubbed her sore cheeks.

"Owie," she pouted, the giddiness she had had from all the laughing she had done now gone. "That hurt, Mari!" Michelle had somehow along the way shortened the maid's name into a nickname. Though, Michelle was curious. Was Mari still maid, she wondered quietly, blinking bright blue eyes at Marilyn. "Hey, Mari. Are you still a maid? Or are you a pirate now?"

At this point, Naomi looked rather confused. She couldn't help but stare at the flower that Sergei had offered to her. She knew everything there was to know about every language, and could speak each one fluently, but she didn't understand why Sergei mistook the English word "kill" with a word in Russian. It didn't make any sense to her. Nevertheless, Naomi could stop staring at the flower. She slowly raised her hand, and eventually took the flower from Sergei, bringing it under her eyes and staring down at it.

"Naomi?" Astra asked, worried for her sanity.

"Pretty." Was all Naomi said, unable to take her eyes off the flower.

Astra sighed, thinking she ought to explain why Naomi was so lost right now. "Naomi has never been in contact with flowers," she explained, "In teaching her, we used computer technology to show her what everything looked like, but she has never actually come into contact with a flower like this before."

Naomi looked up at Sergei, and in a perfect Russian accent, told him exactly what she and her allies were doing there in his own native language. She was certain he could understand what was what now.

After listening intently to Naomi's explanation, Sergei was impressed by the girl's knowledge of his home language, "I see." He stared intently at the party, realizing that he was the only male out of all of them. Deciding to keep the obvious fact quiet, he explained to Naomi in his native tongue that he is a special mailman.

In fact, he is a dimension-traversing mailman who can skillfully manipulate the natural flows of space, time, and magic that have been lined throughout worlds. "And is why I'm down here." He continued in English, "I need deliver mail to amphibian leader."

Marilyn pointed a finger at Michelle and waggled it. "Dontcha be a-knowin' a sailor wen 'er lookin' at un? Er are ya blin'?" Marilyn retorted, brushing some loose hair out of her eyes. Was Michelle that dense that she couldn't figure it out? When was Marilyn even a maid? She had always been a sailor, yes, always been a sailor. And thus she told Michelle exactly what she was thinking. "Sorry, missie, but I be a sailor, ain't nevah ben no maid, no ma'am," she explained, expecting the girl to just go with it. There was no getting her to admit she was ever a maid. What a ridiculous notion.

Michelle blinked rapidly, tilting her head to the side thoughtfully. Marilyn was acting really strange. She couldn't understand way. Furrowing her eyebrows, Michelle frowned as she began to think. Now why in the world would Marilyn suddenly change her personality. She closed her eyes as she tried to figure it out. Didn't Violet once explain to her about these types of people? What were they called again?

Michelle's eyes snapped open as she remembered. Cosplayers! They were called cosplayers! They would take on the personality of whatever outfit they were wearing and pretend to be someone they weren't! Michelle nodded to herself. Yep, that was definitely it. Smiling broadly, she faced Marilyn and quickly nodded her head.

"Of course you were never a maid, Mari!" she exclaimed, stifling a giggle. "Though, I think your ocean accent is a little too strong. It makes it hard to understand you." She could play along if that was what Marilyn wanted. Though, truthfully, Michelle was just a little bit excited as to what sorts of personas the girl could take on. The archer mentally giggled. Oh, the fun she could have.

Marilyn shook her head and slammed one of her feet into the ground, stomping down on the wet rock. "I be a vurry surry, missie, bu' tis be da speak o' ta sailor, it der." With that, she marched over to Sergei, pretending to act tough as if she were a burly man or something. She slammed a hand on the mailman's shoulder. "Tis 'ere man a-be comin' o' wit us, he derz. Wehcan 'elp 'im deliver da lettah an' what 'ave ya!" She smiled and gave a thumb's up to her pals. It was obvious that letting this man continue to wander in the dark of the caverns was only going to wind up in trouble.

Naomi nodded, understanding what he was here for. "Da," Naomi said, then realized she was still speaking Russian, and quickly switched back to English, "Yes, I understand."

Naomi couldn't say much more due to the fact that she had finally sensed the presence of crocodiles. In fact one of them rushed up to Sergei and began to assault him with his giant axe. Naomi acted quickly, her sword coming out of it's sheath in a hurry, and in a flash, Naomi blocked the giant axe that was about to kill the new man. She shoved the axe off of her sword with an incredible display of strength, and with speed she spun around and slashed at the crocodile's retreating gut. However, it appeared as though she had barely scratched the giant crocodile.

"Looks like we've got some company," Naomi said, her flaming red hair beginning to glow again.

Marilyn starts at G3.

More marks appeared. Killing marks. Her favorite kind. She could feel the cold steel of the blade of her weapon on her skin, just giving her that extra edge that made her desire the sight of bloodshed. She smirked evilly and shook her head before putting on her tough guy act as part of the sailor routine. After all, it would be bad for the enemies to know what she was truly capable of. Perhaps they would underestimate her? Oh boy, how great that would be. "This blade is for protecting me, and soon it'll wipe the floor with ye," she whispered maliciously to herself.

"Oh! Right. Gotta get ready," Michelle chirped, quickly backing away to bring some distance between her and the crocodiles. She glanced at both of the reptiles, biting her lip as she tried to figure out who to go for first. She was starting to not like the mages at all. They always got back at her somehow. She pouted. It was so uncool.

[Michelle] starts at [G-1].

Naomi swung her blade out in front of her. The hulking monster seemed to laugh as Naomi prepared to strike, knowing that he could easily withstand any blow Naomi threw at him. But Naomi wasn't intending to attack the giant crocodile in front of her with her best abilities, not yet. Instead, her blade began to glow an iridescent blue color. The blade seemed to glow as Naomi swiftly spun around and sliced through the crocodile's body. The giant croc flinched, but no visible cut was actually made. Regardless, the giant crocodile looked distressed.

Marilyn uses Predation! [User becomes Invisible]

MP: 24/30

What sailor? There was a sailor here? Surely your eyes must be fooling you. Unseen now, Marilyn glared at her target: the wizard. "A mark to be felled with ease," she whispered to herself again, no longer with the spirit of the sea influencing her words. She set off about the edge of the area with quiet steps, her blade aching for a kill.

Marilyn moves to E1.

It was time to go for something new. She was tired of doing the same thing over and over again. Now, she had a new sequence. Though, it did seem like a good idea not to rely on the same thing over and over again. Michelle frowned in thought. It was hard to decide. She shrugged. She would just go with her feelings for now.

[Michelle] uses Striking Shot. All basic attacks will be critical for 3 turns.

Clamp's Intellect-Based Abilities become Attack-Based Abilities!
MP: 30/40

As the situation around him became more clear, Sergei decided that he should help the girls out as well. Taking a small, white letter out of his satchel, he held it up into the air, where a pure white circle of energy appeared. Sergei then deployed the letter into the circle of magic, which then condensed in size and eventually disappeared entirely.

The magical ring reformed around the crocodilian as the ring of energy split into multiple rings that all circulated around different parts of the creature's body. The rings then slowly dissipated in appearance, yet their presence remained noticeable, although they could no longer be seen by the human eye.

Naomi was still. She had just been drenched with a torrent of water that had apparently come from the crocodile's magic. First Sergei drenched her head in cold water, and now these crocodiles were making her wet as well. They were going to pay. Oh, yes, how they were going to pay. Naomi's hair began to glow a red color, and the water on her skin and armor began to steam and evaporate. Naomi was allowing her wrath to take control over her. She moved closer to the enemy crocodile and glared at it. "You aren't getting away from me," Naomi growled.

Marilyn waits.

Too soon to be acting crazy, Marilyn thought as she produced a vial of some liquid from her sleeve instead of her blade. Looks like Naomi's going to turn that wizzie into mincemeat which means it's time for a change in marks... Her red eyes focused on the more physically oriented crocodile. She would have to wait for the right moment to strike; that was the basis of her profession, after all. If she were to be too hasty, it could spoil everything. Patience was a virtue.

Sergei casts Text Cannon on Clamp! 13 Intellect Damage!
Damage is increased to 26! [Clamp inflicted with: Reverse / Disable]

"Okay. I attack crocogator now." Sergei stated in a rather monotone and bland tone as he quickly whipped a letter right out of his pouch and ripped it open. Cascading letters and text then began to launch out of the open incision made within the letter and swarmed the disabled crocodile. As the letters made contact with the amphibian's skin, they exploded into a burst of alternating colors, making the ability's style appear rather flamboyant.

Naomi seemed to have the situation with the crocodile wizard under control and Astra was there to heal her if the reptile did any real damage so they would have to focus on the remaining one. It wouldn't be too hard, seeing as how the reptile was disabled. She pouted slightly. Maybe it would have been a better idea to train her speed at shooting arrows.

"Well, no use thinking about it," she chirped to herself, letting loose in arrow. "Though, is it just me or is this corner a little dark?"

~Player Phase III~

Naomi ignored the lightning that rippled throughout her body. She took the attack as she glared up at the large crocodile. It had no idea what she was going to do with it, and so it's reaction to attempt to kill her was understandable. However, the fact remained that the crocodile was her enemy. Both crocodiles were, but Naomi wanted this one dead. She raised her sword slowly into the air, already feeling the blood spurt out of the crocodile's body and staining her sword. Her fiery red hair flashed, and in that instant, Naomi sliced through the crocodile, her movements too fast for the eye to follow. When she returned to her previous position, the other crocodile was in pieces.

Naomi uses 10 Swords on Tex! 11 Atk DMG! 10 hits!

Marilyn moves to D3.

Now. Marilyn dashed towards the bulky crocodile and locked it in a chokehold. Instead of producing her blade, she retrieved a vial of liquid from her sleeve this time. Unscrewing it, she pried the reptile's mouth open and shoved the jar down its throat, the liquid flowing down easy, right into its stomach where only disaster awaited. "There's more where that came from if you want seconds," she growled.

Marilyn uses Tainted Drink on Clamp! 12 Dmg! [50% Chance of Poison] [50% Chance of Critical Hit] (ATK)

Re: Tales Of A Dreamer - Ermith's Mistake

Naomi straightened herself, twirling her sword once and sliding it smoothly into it's sheath. She now ignored the freshly-dead crocodile bodies, as if they no longer existed. Naomi swiftly stepped over the larger crocodile to reach the rest of her comrades. She looked at them all in turn, carefully examining them and their wounds. Everyone seemed fine, she was the only one who had taken any damage, and Naomi never felt pain to begin with. Getting hurt never lowered her moral or attack consistency. It was just another part of her genetically altered body that set her apart from ordinary humans.

However, these humans were powerful as well, in their own way. Naomi had to recognize their strengths, or she wouldn't be able to grow stronger. That's what all of her mentors told her. Show respect to all humans, even enemies.

Naomi took a deep breath, and offered one of her rare smiles to the group. "Everyone is unhurt, but we will take a short break for now. Rest and gather your senses, we're going to need everyone's help to rescue Captain Ahab." Naomi looked over at Sergei and repeated everything she had just said in Russian, so he would better understand what she was saying.

Astra walked over after Naomi finished talking and put a hand on her shoulder. "You're starting to sound much more like a leader," Astra said kindly, "Have you finally gotten used to everyone, Naomi?"

"Yes ma'am," Naomi replied, "I feel more relaxed than before."

(Now is a chance for anyone to ask anyone, including Astra and Naomi, personal questions. Highly recommended that everyone finds out what Sergei is like and vice-versa.)

Marilyn stuffed her vial back into her sleeve and straightened them, admiring the look of a sailor. Now that they were resting, what was she supposed to do? And what a horrible place to rest. She looked around and eventually decided to lean up agains the rock walls of the cavern. They were a bit damp like pretty much everything in this damn place, but she didn't mind. She had been drenched beforehand, so she easily got over this insignificant amount of moisture.

"Argh, thar be no marks ta kill....," she said to herself and thrust out her arm as if to draw her concealed blade, but nothing came out. The arm fell unenergectically by her side. She began to wonder how her sister was holding up. Probably still back at that tavern... she thought with satisfaction. Being an assassin was dangerous work, so it was best that her sister had chosen to remain undercover at her station. Hopefully she hasn't gone out and done anything stupid. She frowned slightly and looked down at the dark, damp stone, clearly worried.

Sergei gazed at what he could see of Naomi, and commented in Russian regarding the fact that he couldn't speak English, but for the most part, his listening skills were above the level of his speech. He then flashed a quick smile at Naomi, yet he wasn't sure if she could see it or not.

"Won't speak Russian. Do not want to be rude to others." He laughed cheerfully and removed a large, fluffy picnic cloth from his pouch, laid it on the ground, and took a seat atop it. "I bring snacks if want. Energy is good." He commented in a caring tone as he yanked a decently-sized basket out of his pouch and placed it on the cloth.

"Well, this is turning out to be an entertaining trip," Michelle chirped, putting away her bow. She was, quite literally, bouncing on her feet, looking like a child in their favorite candy store. "That was a really easy battle, don't you guys think?" She tilted her head, smiling broadly. Hearing the new guy speak, she snapped her head toward him so fast, it was a surprise her neck didn't break. Upon catching sight of the goodies, Michelle's eyes sparkled. Literally.

"Oh, this is great!" she exclaimed, hopping right over to the man. "We're having a picnic!" The archer looked ready to tear into the basket but restrained herself, looking back at the other girls. "Come on guys! Let's eat something before moving on. I'm hungry." Michelle promptly sat herself down across from Sergei and began to openly stare at him.

For a moment, she was silent. And then she frowned. And then she tilted her head. She continued tilting her head until it seemed to rest on her shoulder. And just as suddenly, she righted it and gave her biggest smile.

"Teach me Russian," Michelle said rather simply. Except it sounded more like a pleasant demand than anything else.

Naomi watched the others interact. She was keeping time in her head, making sure they didn't waste too much of it resting. Of course, Naomi would never allow herself to waste time. Her internal clock system, along with the rest of her bodily functions, is perfect and precise. She only had one flaw in her abilities, and that was her range. But Naomi intended to fix that problem.

"Naomi," Astra spoke, attracting Naomi's attention. "You may be sounding more like a leader now, but I think you should be choosing better places to allow your followers rest." It was a lecture. Naomi began to consider the consequences of ignoring Astra, but soon criticized herself of thinking about doing such a thing. To hear ways of how to better improve one's abilities, one would have to listen to other's ideas. Naomi continued to listen, "A place with more space and fresher air and more lighting would be better than this, I think." At this point, Naomi instantly thought of a counter-argument.

"I understand; however, there may be times when that is not possible. And in such times, we must take what we can find and make use of it. The doctor told me to analyze everything," Naomi paused for a second, she was talking a little too fast. "We are deep in a cavern with nearly zero light sources, and two exits. The first exit, the one we entered through to get here, had few enemies, but they have all been dispatched. If we must worry about our safety, then this is the best place to rest, where we can easily defend ourselves if more enemies come up from down the second exit."

Astra smiled, "Good thinking, Naomi. I suppose I don't need to guide you any longer, do I?"
