Electria paused, staring down at the dead bird. It had not been her hand that had slayed it. Instead, Aaric had interfered and took it out with his horrible excuse for a sword. Electria glared at him, not caring that it might have been an accident. Electria's hand snatched out and grabbed Aaric by the cuff of his collar. With amazing strength, she lifted him into the air with just one hand and growled in his face.

"Never lump me in with the rest of those pathetic women that you know. I am not some weak girl in need of protection," Electria growled, "Don't you ever try to take away my prey again, or the only thing you'll be seeing is all the colors of my electricity. Got it?" Electria then dropped the boy and moved on to the next enemy. Roberto had attacked one of the beasts, but it still wasn't quite dead yet.

Electria pulled back her fist, lighting it up with a surge of electricity. She locked on to the enemy bird and shot her fist at it. The lightning converged into a small beam and zapped the bird.

Cody stared at his so-called friend. He had never met someone so retarded in his life. Deeming it a waste of time to speak to him any longer, Cody had a feeling doing so would cause the stupidity infecting the idiot to infect him as well, the young crossdresser ignored the boy and redirected his attention to the bird nearby. For a moment, he wondered why he even hung out with the boy. Then, he remembered. It was because of Electria and Roberto, the only two who were keeping his sanity intact at the moment.

But enough thinking. He had work to do. Raising a hand and bringing it up, Cody's eyes glowed slightly as water rose up and crushed the bird in front of him. It didn't kill the annoying creature but it was enough for now.

"I can finish this one, Roberto. Take a breather," Electria said, waving a dismissing hand to her ally. Electria's arms began to spark as a surge of electricity shout through her body. Electria spread out her arms as if they were wings and the surge of electricity jumped out of her arms and took the very form of wings. Electria swung her arms higher up, dragging along the electricity as she slammed the high-density magic upon the enemy bird, roasting it well-done.

Electria uses Lightning Wings on Feathers! 9 Int Lightning DMG!

"Oh, I am so sick and tired of you," Cody growled at the bird, eye twitching in irritation as the creature attacked him. Again. Aaric was absolutely useless. Suddenly realizing that growling was very unladylike, Cody cleared his throat and backed away from the animal. Straightening, he sent the bird a cold glare and slowly closed his eyes.

[Cody] moves to [J-6].

"Take deep, calming breaths, Cody," he murmured to himself. He had to find his happy place. But a caw from the damn bird broke his calming attempt and he twitched. Eyes snapping open, Cody gritted his teeth, hands gripping tightly to his parasol. "Okay. You're dying. Now." With those words, two water columns rose from the earth and wrapped around the bird, squeezing it hard enough to crush its bones.

”Aha!” Aaric shouted with false inspiration as he unearthed the flagpole, nearly causing it to topple over and off of the cliffside, ”With some slight adjustments, this flagpole and cloth could easily become a mast and a sail!” He laughed happily, ”Alrighty! Let’s take this back down to the village so we don’t lose it. We’ll head out into the forest in search for some boat-sized wood after that.”

And so that’s what happened. With, thankfully, very minor casualties along the way, Aaric and the rest of our heroes safely delivered the supplies back to their home village. Luckily, only Cody was affected by moderate irritation or low spirits, so more than half of the party was still willing to go and venture down into the deep depths of the island’s tropical woods in search for a nice chunk of bark to use as their boat.

Climbing over heaps of rocks and felled trees to reach the other face of Crescent Isle was quite a chore, yet our heroes managed to make it to the other side unscathed. Upon entering the eastern half of the particularly small island, the party discovered a large crater that appeared to house some sort of creature, for many rotting corpses, bones, and even a large, dark cave were within the general area.

Echoes of gargantuan footsteps could be heard as a massive bear emerged from the large cave, yet, this bear was not a normal bear at all, you see. This bear was comprised of natural materials, such as a large, jagged slab of wood that protruded from the top of its back, and large, claw shaped, granite claws that had molded over the bear’s original paws. Its eyes glowed a neon green hue, hatred and hunger shown profusely through such a vile glare.

”Woah! Look at that huge chunk of wood on that thing’s back! Surely we could use that as our boat! It’s of a... decent... size and it already has a boat-ish type of shape! All we need to do is cut off those jagged edges and make a few adjustments, and then it would be all good to go!” Aaric spewed words out of his mouth at an inhuman pace shortly before charging into the crater and stumbling right before the bear. The creature glared at him with bloodthirsty eyes before unleashing a threatening roar directly at the boy’s face.

Electria stepped forward forcefully, her foot making a heavy sound as she kicked up some dust off of the ground. Her face was set in an evil-looking grin as she cracked each one of her knuckles, a spark of electricity flying out of her every time. "I'm all revved up now," Electria growled with a sort of happiness, as if she couldn't wait to sink her teeth into the beast in front of them.

Roberto starts at I3.

Roberto didn't mind trudging all over the island. He enjoyed the outdoors. Nature was something that should be admired. However, landing in situations like these with Aaric obliviously knocking on Death's door expecting to escape with his life...they were situations that were probably best left behind. "Here we go..." he sighed and readied his saber. The plus behind this horrid scene was that their boat would be well on its way upon retrieving the wood, so might as well give it a go.

Cody was beginning to develop a headache.

"Is it possible," he began, staring at Aaric's back. "To leave this idiot behind?" He, frankly, couldn't bring himself to care if the boy heard him. Cody was half-tempted to kick open Death's door and push the dimwit right in, if only to rid the world of a new brand of stupidity. Cody shook his head. No. No, he couldn't think that way. Aaric was his friend. A stupid, idiotic dimwit of a friend but still a friend. He could never kill the boy.

. . . . . . .

Oh, who was he kidding. If the boy did one more stupid thing, Cody was bashing him with his parasol. He needed a new one anyway.

"Is there a problem, Cody?" Aaric tilted his head slightly toward the androgynous boy and smiled, "We're still alive, aren't we?" He then drew his sword and turned back toward the beast, "I'm not as stupid as you think I am, and I know what we can and can't handle, so yeah. Just looking at this bear... You can see that the source of wood growing from his back is the perfect shape for a small boat. We would've charged in sooner or later. I was just speeding up the process." He then sighed childishly and ran toward the large beast without any fear of becoming a heap of bear food. Clumsily piercing the ground with his sword, Aaric conjured up a ball of energy that quickly loomed over the bear's head. "Come and get me!" He taunted.

Aaric moves to F5.

Electria ignored the others and instead made her way around the tree in front of her and got closer to the bear, electricity surging through her body already. But she walked calmly, as if to save her energy in one huge hit. However, she stopped short of the target, standing behind Aaric. She made sure to make her electricity so painfully obvious to the dimwitted boy. If he didn't move aside soon, he might just get caught up in her next attack.

Electria impatiently moves to H-5 and waits.

The poor fellow was starting to worry about his group of friends, though they had been through worse than this. Everything always turned out well at the end. He took a solemn step forward. The bear was intimidating, but it wasn't like they could just run away from it, now that the onslaught had begun. Besides, Aaric was strangely right; they needed that wood, so they had to take it. He ran a finger down the length of his blade and watched as lightning sparked into life along it.

Cody rolled his eyes. He was more thinking along the fact they should have thought up a plan before charging in and possibly getting mauled. He paused. Actually, he wouldn't mind seeing that happen to Aaric. It would be entertaining to say the least. Cody blinked. Now he was beginning to sound rather cruel. After a moment, Cody waved it off. He couldn't bring himself to care. And knowing the boy, he wouldn't die. Just hurt.

[Cody] moves to [G-4].

Raising a delicate, gloved hand, Cody narrowed his eyes. "Don't worry, this won't hurt one bit," he cooed lightly, watching as water began to rise from beneath the giant creature. Clutching his outstretched hand into a fist, the water came around the bear with enough force to rattle its head. Lowering his hand, Cody tilted his head slightly. Hopefully, that would help Roberto and Electria with their attacks.

Electria moves to F-6

Scowling, Electria moved around Aaric and got closer to the bear. She saw that the beast had restored it's health with what appeared to be a mushroom. Maybe she shoulddestroy it? Or maybe not. She had more pressing matters at hand. Electria raised her hand and pointed it at the bear. In a flash, she swept her arm through the air and a thin thunderbolt came crashing down upon the large beast, giving it a good shock.

Electria attacks Haz-rohk! 8 Int Lightning DMG!

Roberto moves to E3.

If they had managed to do anything to it at all, it seemed as though those efforts were wasted. It had sprouted what appeared to be a mushroom. Roberto looked at it from afar in curiosity. The monster was using it to heal itself. Taking a few steps forward, Roberto drew nearer, but he still couldn't quite reach it. If they were going to take this thing down, they'd need for that mushroom to disappear in a hurry.

Cody frowned, making a noise of disdain. It hadn't worked. He would have to try again. If there was something he hated more than dirt, it was stubborn creatures who refused to just drop dead when he wanted them to. Breathing out, he once again attempted to cover the bear in a coating of water.

The mushroom was definitely going to be a problem. Hopefully, they would be able to deal some serious damage with some lightning element attacks. Now, if only the bear would allow itself to sit still and shaking all the water out of its fur.

Aaric attacks Haz-rohk! 3 Attack Damage!


It didn't seem like anyone would be going after the mushroom that sprouted behind the bear, so Aaric had to make sure that he could lure the creature away to the point where it would no longer be nourished by the fungus's effects. In a futile attempt to gain the attention of the creature, Aaric charged up to the bear, knocked it straight in the maw with his dulled blade, and jumped to the side of the feral beast, just barely dodging what looked to be a grievous blow to the chest. He proceeded to ecstatically beat the creature, attempting to be as obnoxious as possible, shouting various profanities that any bear would surely find offensive.

Right.

Electria coughed a few times, wiping her hand about in the air to disperse the air around her. She suddenly began to feel sick, however, and immediately moved off to the side, approaching the beast from the side. "Okay you stupid bear, taste my fist!" Electria shouted, looking rather angry at the moment. She pulled back her right first and put forth a large charge of electricity forward and plunged her fist into the bear, giving it a shock that was amplified by it's wet fur.

Finally, the mushroom making their attacks useless was in his sights. He wondered if he could take it alone. It looked rather durable. No more doubts. He rushed towards it with incredible speed and ducked down low, slashing at the fungus's lower portion, hoping to tear the thing completely apart, but realized he had failed to do so upon returning to his original position. It was rather durable.

"We need to take the shroom out, guys!" he called out to the others. "I already weakened it, so someone finish it off. If we don't get rid of it, it'll just keep healing the monster!"

Roberto uses Dash Slash on Claw Mushroom! 12 Dmg! (ATK) [Sure Hit]

"Robert, go after the bear!" Cody shouted toward the fencer. "Right now, your lightning attacks should deal more damage than it can heal! I'll see what I can do about the mushroom." The effects of his water would soon run out, the bear could shake it out of its fur after all. He took a quick step forward, trying to ignore the queasy feeling in him. Being poisoned was not a good feeling.

[Cody] moves to [F-4].

Unfortunately, his attacks wouldn't be able to deal much damage to the mushroom. But the other three were focusing on the bear at the moment. Cody knew he couldn't ask Aaric to help, the boy was busy attempting to distract the vicious animal. Frowning, the Water Sprite acted. He shouldn't be overthinking this.

"Just hope it doesn't absorb this."
