What is the significance of this post, you may ask?

Spoiler:

And just because I'm in the mood, it's time to thrash their literary skills.

So, apparently these are their best roleplayers now:

Best Roleplayer -
MoonO, Alice_Shards, Sniper, Romeo, Clear Note, Houndour, Divock, Pikachuluva

Alice_Shards:
Spoiler:
pikachulova:
Spoiler:
Divock:
Spoiler:

I know the 'assault' has ended...waste of your time I think, but I must raise a point with Durn's post here. Divock is actually better than most of you lot here...I've made comparisons, you have (somewhat) legitimate reasons to mock the Marriland RP section. Pikachulova, shit. Alice, shit. Moono? I don't rate him highly at all, I will admit. Myself? Well, you didn't highlight me, so I take that as a positive! And these awards are simply popularity contests. Pikachulova's tied for most votes...what does that say?

I read some of his other posts, Sniper.

Divock has a serious case of random punctuation placement.

Update:

They're becoming desperate for members:

Pretentious Utopia wrote:I seem to recall making this, but oh well.

I think that with our dwindling numbers, we should start to forgive and forget. Meaning in particular, give the banned/boxed a second chance (Though many already have...). This proposal may seem unfounded and obviously they were banned for a reason, but honestly, is it that much of a problem to unban a couple of people? It's not like they can go around destroying the forums. I'm not saying just lift every person's ban, but allow a chance at renewal, a chance that's not as impossible as the one now. If they screw up, heck, ban them again. But I know that at least I have matured within 2 years, and I'm sure others can too.

Divock's older stuff, I presume. You need to get a fair balance before you can establish something like that, because improvement is quite evident with him if you look at more recent posts.

And I still don't understand why they're doing that. I mean, I joined a year ago and if anything there's been more activity.

The Marriland Forums used to be extremely active when Durn and I were there.

The server would crash multiple times due to too many logged-on members and posts. I seem to remember that happening every week or so.

Marriland isn't nearly as active as it was then.

As do I, the servers would go down quite regularly. Then I recall them getting upgraded, and they now go down daily for back-ups. Annoying, to say the least, especially when it's in my timezone, but still.

And of course it's not as active as back when you were there, that was the prime period, certainly. It hasn't really dropped off since the start of 2010, however.

No, of course not. But you didn't exactly say that he did improve. Which he has. Significantly. Granted, I am somewhat biased, he is one of the main guys in my roleplay on Marr, but I can see the improvement from the...poor application I was sent back then, to the stage we're at now.

But yeah, you didn't say that.

I believe role playing is something you're born with. Sure, you can learn how to role play, but there are benefits to having creativity in the family.

My family especially is very abstract, and I think that shows up in my characters and my role playing.
