Which Sounds Better?

Luna (Reaper): Uses both Valkyrie Magic and Necromancy to destroy or enslave her foes.

Lily (Thief): An ex-thief using her abilities to chain together many attacks.

Luke (Light Mage): Uses light magic to scour his enemies.

Aio (Sword Telekenetic): Wields 7 swords to decimate her foes, but also is a priest of the Lord, with offensive Holy magic.

Rem (Breaker Knight): A knight focused on crippling her foes with a powerful "Swordbreaker" sword.

Thanatos (Hurricane): A powerful bladesman duel wielding scythes to cause havoc to everything around him.

. . . You realize that at least four of those names have already been used right?

I don't...care? Two people in the world can't have the same name? Let alone DIFFERENT worlds?! Crap, where have I been?!

It's more a matter of not causing confusion. Especially with the names Lily and Thanatos, two names I already associate with Zeri and Masq, respectively.

That's quite a shame....you may want to nickname them then. I simply don't see a reason to limit myself and for one of them, change their story, just because somebody else also named their character that.

I understand your situation, but a good portion of these characters aren't new for me--they've been around since before I even met Masq, let alone when this site was created.


EDIT: So, please understand MY situation where if I change their names, I'll be beyond confused at my own characters... and again, one of their names is a surname because of their story.

I suppose it's a matter of my OCD. Things have to be a certain way, like names and such. ^.^;; Seriously, I've only ever used a character's name more than once, well, once.

It's really nothing personal.

Cerani, it's not really that big of a deal.

Name copying isn't too hard to avoid, however it isn't really necessary to avoid it at all.

So long as the characters aren't in the same role play, then it should be perfectly fine. And even if they were in the same role play, it's not such a big deal. Adding a last name or a nickname would be perfectly fine.

Terribly sorry for how rash and brazen and bitchy and edgy I come off as. It's not supposed to be that way, it just comes out that way--it's not how I feel. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Zeri, I'm afraid you just don't understand. And I'm not offended or anything, it's just a tic. Can't help it.

On another note, the Hurricane sounds like an awesome idea to me. ^.^

I'm probably keeping this poll open too long, looks like the decision has been made already--still, I'll give it till Friday to start making whatever character was chosen.
