Perpetual Fighting

The law of perpetual motion has always intrigued me, but today I started thinking about role plays, and came up with the thought: If I start a role play that has nothing except fighting scenes, it might be a good way to improve on fight scenes when writing in actual role plays, or in fiction writing. In my current novel, there are a few fight scenes that I'm not terribly proud of, but I still think that they are pretty good as they are. Still, if there is a way to improve upon my writing even more, I'd like to take it.

Perhaps what I'm looking for isn't necessarily a role play. Maybe it's just critiques. Like, if someone posts a fight scene from beginning to end in a thread, the rest of us can discuss it in a different thread. Pointing out weaknesses and strengths, making critiques and things like that.

I dunno, it's a thought I had and decided to pose it here. I'm wondering if anyone else is interested in this, and if there is, then let me know, 'kay?

In that case, I feel like we could actually put this in the Roleplaying Tips and Questions forum.

If one of us were to post a thread there with our example scenario and then the critiques could happen as replies to that thread....maybe we can work something like that out.

That forum has a useful purpose now! \o/ Hurrah! I feel like we're finally expanding our horizons and starting to use the forums that have been here since the birth of this place.

For now, I'll definitely be making critiques on whatever pops up when I have the time. So if you want to post something, I'll see what I can pick and prod at to hopefully make it better.
