Shale's Sketches

I usually sketch my drawings out on paper first before running them through photoshop. Very rarely will I sketch on photoshop XD

So I thought I post some of my better sketches here as I go along ;D

So, for starters, just a little headshot of my character, Ailia

I have no idea how big it is, so I apologize if it's humongous. Just let me know if it is, and I'll fix it when I can XD

It showed up fine for me. I think it's amazing. *u* She looks about as ominous as she really is in the actual role play.

And this is the original. The colors are a little bit washed out in this one ^ ^;

So, basically, the assignment was to choose an art piece from a list of artists and recreate that piece in a 3D representation using foam board, cardboard, and basically any other kind of 3D textural element. I tried to stay simple considering it was my first assignment, and this one was just so cute but still very pretty.

The original is "Hibiscus and Sparrow" by Katsushika Hokusai.
