Which reminds me, remember my Dark team? I played against a friend of mine, I had already seen what her Azumarill was running earlier (SubPunch with Waterfall and Aqua Jet), and I for some inexplicable reason decided not to taunt the damn thing and let it get Substitute off XDDD

Kuori, you are obviously not up-to-date on moves like Hyper Beam.

The pokemon will not have to go through the recharge turn if the attack misses. I believe this includes the effects of Protect and Detect. The only case I'm unsure about is if the opposing pokemon is taken out by Hyper Beam/Giga Impact-type moves. That might have been fixed.

Which is why Stoutland and Serperior were still able to move after those attacks.

I, however, will never teach my Serperior, or any of my pokemon for that matter, moves like Hyper Beam and Giga Impact. Because they are terrible.

They look awesome.

I once had a Beautifly that knew Hyper Beam. I did it for shits and giggles. It was the first bug-type pokemon that I used that actually made it to the Elite Four. Then I stopped using it, lol.

Well I never questioned their ability to move after the attacks, I assumed it's because it's an anime-style battling thing. I meant that if they were actually in a competitive battling scene they would be screwed over for using Hyper Beam. That's all .-.

Honestly, if you look at the available pokemon (and the water types, oh the wonderful water types =D /watertypefan) the starters are easily swapped out.

Samurott is a fuckin' BEAST.

The Tepig line is kinda weak, but they did a good job with Oshawott and Snivy.

Of course, the first chance I get, I'm getting Petilil. So fucking adorable. If you want to beat me in a pokemon battle, send out the evolved form of this.

I won't be able to attack it. Me D/C'ing is just as likely though, I can't handle the adorableness of it all.

I believe my starters are...

Rufflet and Flaffy. I'm not using the Magikarp Deal for Rufflet, because I intend for him to evolve fairly soon after we start. Flaffy is a good electric type, so I have a good balance.

The first pokemon I'm getting is Snorunt though. Snorunt and...Spheal. So I have my ice-type that will evolve into Froslass and I have my water/ice-type sponge.

That's the plan, anyway. Of course, we can't forget Petilil. And from Adamites, we're getting a Beldum. Because that's the only steel-type I actually care about.
