Floor AF100-X: A Fateful Decision

Before you are able to descend the stairs that have appeared to the next floor, a shimmering figure appears within the center of the room. At first, you're not sure whether this figure is real or not. Then the form solidifies and begins to speak:

"Come, my child," The voice takes on many tones, first that of a schoolgirl, then one of a wizened old man, then one of a sultry escort. "You have a long journey ahead of you... Come, I might have something for you before your trials truly begin..."

• Examine the mysterious figure
  

Make your choice wisely...

Telvren chooses to examine the mysterious figure.

You walk closer to the figure to find that it does not have one head, but three. You see a head with a young face and pigtails much like a child's, a head with an old face that is marred with wrinkles, and a head with long blonde hair and a painted face, much like a harlequin's. The three speak in unison, but with dissonance as their voices collide and fight their way to your ears. "We possess three items, all three of which you may find useful in your way through this Tower of Heaven. You may only receive any one of these three, however." The figure draws open the large black cloak it is wearing to reveal three distinct items suspended within pillars of light. There is a necklace of sorts, with jewels of many hues, a staff with a deep crimson color and the smell of apples, and a hood that looked airy, gauzy, almost as if it weren't there. "Any one of these three are yours to keep, but once you do, the other two will be lost forever. Choose wisely, my child."

• Aurora Necklace - A necklace with jewels representing every color of life one can see. It makes the wearer feel omniscient. [+10 MP, +10% INT] ~ Accessory
  

Once you have chosen one, immediately equip it and change your modifiers. Post when you are ready to continue.

So you take the Aurora Neckace and don it on your neck. The being starts to shimmer before you. "So that is the choice you make. I see... May the odds be ever in your favor..." The being fades from your view along with the staff and hood that it proffered towards you. Suddenly, though, you feel an odd sensation. The building begins to shake and you hear an earsplitting roar. You fall back, surprised by what you feel everywhere. Before you stands a large dragon with cuprous skin that shines in the light of the holes poked through the walls by its appearance. It screeches at you once again. Are you ready to battle?
