Adventures of Naletia: Beyond the Skies

A Valkyries' Right

In the land of Naletia, there exists three realms. The first is the Realm of the Living, in which all mortal lives are centered. Here is where the separate nations battle against each other to win the favor of the gods of magic. The second is the Realm of the Dead, where Ulysses holds his keep, tending to the lost souls who have lost their lives and preparing them for their second journey. Of these souls, few are chosen to transcend their mortal lives to live with the gods in their realm, the Realm of the Heavens.

In the Realm of the Heavens, there exists an order of divine protectors called Valkyries. They are immortal beings born in this realm, and very few of the souls that enter the Realm of the Heavens are granted this honorable title. The purpose of a Valkyrie is first the defense of the mortal world, should the Abyss open up and pour out a flood of demons. Should the vanguard fail, the Valkyries would retreat to the Realm of the Gods to bolster their defenses.

The Abyss has opened only twice before in the long history of Naletia, and every time it has, the Valkyries took to the skies of the Mortal Realm to close the rift. Once again, a rift has opened into the Abyss, and the Valkyries are preparing the vanguard to respond. But this time, they enlist the help of souls who have transcended the mystical veil of the mortal world into immortality.

In this role play, I will be playing as a Valkyrie to lead you all into the battle against the Abyssal Realm. You will be playing as a "regular mortal" character that has transcended death into immortality. As such your character is a bit limited in terms of personality. You must have done "something" good for humankind's sake. So basically, no villains. The misunderstood "anti-heroes" are allowed, however.

I'll be rolling the dice on this one, so if you show interest, your place is not guaranteed. I'll be accepting up to 4 other players.
