If you're lucky, your Sprite will be able to save at least one item. I was lucky enough to have gotten back the staff I used for the crafting back twice. >.>

In terms of stats, Root of Darkness is better. But the effect of Mana Messenger is great. I still can't figure out what Root of Darkness' effect is.

8% chance of regaining mana while attacking.
Though it's more like 20% or something. I never had to sit down or use a mana potion.
