Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Whatchu Know 'Bout Chocobos?!
@Kuori: We're moving the SC2 discussion here. Durn got mad at me. xD
I think playing on Random is something I'd do as well. I like certain aspects of every race and dislike the same amount.
Terran build orders is the worst thing in the world, but Terran is also extremely flexible. TvT battles are also much more interesting than ZvZ or PvP.
Protoss have the best build orders and are easy for proxy stargate or proxy 4 gate. However, Protoss doesn't really have much to offer in terms of good units. In order to deal with a large bio force from Terran, you need Colossus. I don't really like that.
For Zerg, it's extremely easy to make tons of units at one time. The only thing is, they are extremely weak without upgrades. You have to babysit mutalisks and a lot of players pressure Zerg early so they can't get maxed out at 200 supply, which is when Zerg becomes nearly undefeatable.
So, if I could play, I dunno which race I would choose as my favorite.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Whatchu Know 'Bout Chocobos?!
For Terran, Yasa thinks that TvT is the most boring matchup to play at lower levels, because everyone goes Marine Marauder Tank, no variations at all at low levels...ara...>.>
For Protoss, if you suck at micro, yeah, you need Colossi to deal with a huge Terran force, but with good micro Yasa has seen MC, White-Ra, HuK, and TLO, all do some great stuff that involved no Colossi, wether it be Archon Toilet, Psi Storms, or just gateway units backed up by good Force Fields...ara...^^
Zerg on the other hand, is built around having a lot of expansions...statistically zerg units are actually weaker than most units of the other race, but they make up for it by being able to pump them out quickly and if you have a good economy, reinforce them much faster...which is why a fully macro'd Zerg is nearly unstoppable...ara... :3

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Whatchu Know 'Bout Chocobos?!
For TvT, I would go with BC rush or mass Banshee. xD
Because Banshees do really good damage and they have cloak. It forces the other Terran user to get an Engineering Bay for turrets and a Starport for Ravens.
Marines melt in the face of BCs. I think for long term, I'd go mass Biscuit Cruiser and Viking. Or I would go with some Banshee/Viking. Vikings take out Medivacs and Ravens while the Banshees destroy ground forces. Tanks, Helians, and Marauders are useless.

Yeah...BiscuitCruiser build is awesome for low level TvT, but didn't TB name it something along the lines of "Crouching Tiger Hidden Cruiser", ara? XDDD
Also, Banshees just aren't very good in TvT, due to the fact that the Terran would just throw down a scan and suddenly, all your Banshees are dead...ara...^^;

Banshees are beastly in early-game TvT though. (b=3=)b

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Whatchu Know 'Bout Chocobos?!
...yeah...but against Protoss it's a really bad idea...most good Protoss players will, unless they're going heavy air, always get two or three Observers out, one to scout the opponent's base, one to patrol their base, and one to keep an eye on the map...ara... :3

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Whatchu Know 'Bout Chocobos?!
I wouldn't use Banshees against Protoss or Zerg. At least not late-game zerg because of Overseers.
For TvP, I'd go with something like a large bio force and Vikings. Marauders are really good against Stalkers and Zealots. Vikings help take care of Colossi and Marines are good for Immortals.
For TvZ, as Terran I'd probably go with some sort of Ghost-Medivac play. Ghosts do amazing sniping against air units and EMP can get rid of Infester threats. Medivacs are there to sponge some damage and heal up ghosts. Plus, nukes do wonders against Zerg macro. If I can get a sneaky drop in with ghosts and nuke the mineral line, that's all of Zerg's macro gone.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Whatchu Know 'Bout Chocobos?!
Now let Yasa teach you a few things...your TvP strategy works only on someone who can't micro worth a shit and will never even attempt to use HTs, DTs, or Sentries to their fullest potential...good luck with fighting when suddenly ten sentires start throwing down Force Fields and Guardian Shields, causing half your ground force to be completely nullified and a third of your Marine damage to be blocked...or better yet, your ground force gets boxed in by Force Fields then completely murdered by Psi Storms...ara...<3

I never said anything about micro management.
I've never played the game.
I don't know how good my micro is. I'm just throwing out strategies. xD

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Whatchu Know 'Bout Chocobos?!
Exactly, but don't worry about micro if you do start playing it, worry about your macro more...because if you're a total noob and they're a total noob, whoever has more dudes and better army composition will always win, no question about it...but if micro is involved, matters can get a little shakey even if you have an army advantage...ara...^^

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Whatchu Know 'Bout Chocobos?!
I know.
I saw TB get annihilated by Zerg so many times because of army size and banelings. And then his micro skills and ability to see 1/2 a second into the future activates and he manages to pull a win out of his ass.

TB has micro skills? He doesn't even know how to Stop-Move with his Marines, ara...XDDD
But yes, his ability to see 1/2 a second into the future is handy...ara... :3

Oh yeah.
I forgot about 27/27 for a second. >>
No, not TB then, he doesn't have micro or macro.

It's probably Husky or Anahris, they both have decent micro and macro, while TB has pure British awesomeness at his side...ara...^^

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Whatchu Know 'Bout Chocobos?!
Nah, I don't think something like that would happen at Husky or Ahnaris' level.
I think it was TB, actually. His entire force got wiped out by Zerg and then he managed to get his army up and beat Zerg down.
It might have been when Apollo was teaching him...I don't remember.

Day 9 is pretty knowledgeable about SC2 as well.
I've started watching his examinations of games.
Very informative. (b=3=)b

Back to being a genderless sharkface. This feels right.
