Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
I have, actually.
Protoss gets stronger.
Zerg gets weaker.
Terran is still imba (MULE too).

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
Pretty much. :/
Have you seen the Shredder in action? It basically kills everything Zerg has on the ground that's not a Hydralisk or Ultralisk. And what's up with the Battle Hellion? So basically you're telling me the Hellion can change forms from being mobile to having a HUGE splash range like a Firebat, more armor, and tons more health while all it gives up is mobility? Fuck that noise. And then Thors are getting buffed, but you only get to have one of them at a time. But no worries mass Thor fans, you get the "Mini-Thor", which is better than the actual Thor right now in the sense that it counters EVERYTHING Protoss has that's not an Immortal! >.>
Zerg is just doing its usual thing of trying to win by sheer numbers. I'm fine with that ^^
Protoss gets infinitely more awesome, with a Replicator to copy any non-massive unit. "That's a very nice SCV you have there. I think I'll take one of those for myself. And now I have an entire Terran army to back my Protoss up!" And the Oracle, I can see some serious griefing potential to be had with them. Carrier and Mothership are being removed, to be replaced by the Tempest! Its anti-air is just as good as a Corsair, its anti-ground is like a Void Ray, and its appearance looks like everything Protoss ever had for air. <3

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
Soooo everything gets IMBA to balance out Terran's IMBA. Hey look, that means Terran isn't IMBA and nobody else is IMBA.

No, Terran gets even more IMBA so it's still IMBA >.>

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
You sure about that? Cuz Terran isn't IMBA right now, so you're suggesting that they went from normal to IMBA...

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
I'm not arguing over balance issues. I'm just saying Terran is OP, especially in TvP. Ghost EMP! Suddenly, half of the Protoss army's effective health is gone! >.>

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
But wasn't the Ghost EMP nerfed too? I thought it was, Husky said so.
And yeah, Terran has been imba since Brood War. Seriously.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
Yeah, EMP got nerfed a bit, but only in its AoE range. I would like Blizz to nerf EMP's effect on Protoss shields, since it can literally kill an Archon or cut the Protoss army's health in half, since most Protoss units' shields is half their effective health :/

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
Have they? I just kind of baneling it all away... people always rely on their deathballs or their thors, so I've never had too much of an issue with taking them down.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
Yes, but one question, what league are you in? Silver? Gold? Or what? Because when you see the higher tier Terrans play, they don't have a problem with that. Unless Banelings are on creep AND upgraded with centrifugal hooks, Stim Marines, Marauders, and pretty much everything except Thors and Tanks can outrun Banelings when effectively micro'd. :/

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
The low tier Terrans complained about Baneling Busts.
Blizz nerfed Zerg.
The low tier Terrans complained about not having a Firebat.
Blizz gave them something better.
The low tier Terrans complained about Protoss annihilating them.
Blizz gave them Ghosts.
The low tier Terrans complained about having the worst builders.
Blizz gave them MULEs.
I think Blizz likes Terran a bit too much.

Platinum. There's a thing called "Explode While Burrowed"The Flaming Troll wrote:Yes, but one question, what league are you in? Silver? Gold? Or what? Highly effective. Honestly, players are usually just derp enough to send just about their whole force, so it's as simple as sending in a roach scout to verify then sending in your own strike force. I play a waiting game, where I carefully counterattack you to your death.

Zerg is a reactionary race after all.
That's a really good way to use Zerg.
I would be impressed, if I hadn't already thought of that sort of strategy. But hey, it's still pretty good.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
Yeah, I don't really play that much anymore. So I wouldn't know how low-tier feels really. And right now most of my exposure in SC2 is watching pros play, and statistically Terran is OP as hell. It's just that most of the Terrans before Diamond/Masters league are a bunch of noobs. I know for a fact that Terran is the most newbie friendly race because it's a lot less gimmicky than Protoss and Zerg. :/
And yes, Zerg is indeed a reactionary race. They base their entire strategy on controlling the map and gaining information beforehand. Because a lot of Zerg units are good against one or two units, but absolutely horrible against other units. So knowing what your opponent is going is very helpful. ^^

What are you talking about?
Mass Zergling is good against everything except Proxy Planetary Fortress.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
I've actually never seen anyone go mass Zergling before. But I can see where you're coming from. However that is only IF your opponent is dumb enough or you're manipulative enough to engage in a wide open area. If there's a choke point then the Zerglings completely fall apart. :/

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
I can be a very manipulative person.
I am also a very patient person.
So coaxing someone out of their safety bubble is a bit of a specialty of mine. X3
I think I'd play 'toss instead though. Iunno.

Re: The Chatterbox Thread ~ Soup Extermination Headquarters
I love Protoss. I played nothing but 'toss in Brood Wars, and then I played it for three months in SC2 before switching to Random. Protoss is still my best race though. <3

Planet Cracker? You mean that ability the Purifier has in the campaign? Dear god that would be so overpowered if it were in the Multiplayer. XDD

Nah too badly, it's pretty simple to balance.

Yeah, it's easy to balance, but it's not going to happen since Blizz is removing Mothership D:

Which is both stupid and smart. Removing the carrier was superstupid though.
