Not Exactly A Rant

I've done my time ranting about bullying, maybe not here or written down anywhere, but in the minds of my friends who I also listened to and supported. I posted this video on my facebook after I found it, and Silver suggested I put it here as well. I agreed, I think it's something most of us could agree on.

I was reading some of the comments last night and more today. It is a sad thought that humanity is dying with those kinds of people around.

No, no, it's not sarcasm.

This is one thing that I won't joke about. You guys probably know that I was bullied in elementary, middle, and high school throughout. I can totally connect with this kid.

And I'm pissed off because bullying is still alive. It should have died in the 21st Century Rebellion.

It lives onwards, perhaps more insidious now, I'm afraid. What with all the strife going on in the world of 'adults', it would be hard for a child to not see that and react, though without understanding. I stopped being bullied by other kids a little after middle school, but by then I was dealing with my stepfamily, who I am now aware actually hated me and my mom, among other things. But that's a story for another time.

Besides, it isn't just kids that get bullied. Grown adults do as well, though these days it's legally called harassment. I want to say that things do change when you get older, but it takes something like Jonah has done, made it known that he's strong and will live on. I think it's only after that when things get better.
