So, I started reading the first book of the Hunger Games today.

I also finished reading the first book of the Hunger Games today.

8-9 hours of reading.

Holy shit, I had no idea I could read that fast. Guess who's not showing up to any classes tomorrow morning?

I'm going to go see the movie before I read it. If there's one thing I hate about book-turned-movies, it's that I end up spending the whole time criticizing every little detail that was left out or wasn't totally correct.

This is NOT the kind of movie you want to see before reading the book. The movie is assuming that all of the viewers have at least read the first book. You want to read the book first for this one.

May also help that I'm a speed reader and can retain what I read.

Actually, the movie doesn't. They explain what tracker jackers are, do things almost well coordinated with the book.

Just they flip quite a few things and the battle scenes were horrible.
