That is possible. When next we return to Cidade (which is after the current battle), I'll have the king call upon us and Sayori can be replaced with your new character.

EDIT: Your character was going to be introduced after the group returned to Cidade, so it looks like she'll be introduced alongside, Kuori's new character.
