Story

Once, long, long ago, there was a god. He was the one who ruled everything. Not a single item in existence could hide from his rule. His followers were rewarded and his resistors punished. Until one fateful day, he was The Messiah...

... But after he was overthrown in an extreme upset, a simple era of peace resided among the lands of Trefkia. The sole person who had overthrown the Messiah took rule into his own hands, and put down what at first seemed to be a simplistic and bountiful rule. But soon after he became power-hungry. His rule became tyrannical, and then the land was smothered in a darkness...

... For years onward this rule was in effect. However quite unlike The Messiah, the ruler was quite hated by many more than a simple two parties split in anyone's favor. A sole four people stood by this man's side for what seemed an eternity. On the other end of the country, where, like all other places in the land, people hid their resent for their leader and showed love for the Capital, Rumia. All except for a band of five people, who are rumored to be backed by the power of the Messiah himself, a reincarnate of the god. Their aim is to take down the regime and restore balance to the Empire that was...

Rules

~ The game accepts 4 people. The characters are based on authority. First come first serve. Make sure at the top of the application you list what position your character holds in their group. [2nd: Queen, 3rd: Jack, 4th: Joker]. You make one character for the Elites and one for the Rebels.
~ Your Elite character can have an extravagant weapon but not so much any powers. The Rebels can have a thoughtfully created Messiah's Gift, basically like a superpower, but only a basic weapon.
~ Rules should be put in place shouldn't they? I'll get on that if I gotta. Basic rules though. No godmodding unless I say so, don't take the RP into your own hands, etc.

The Empire's Elite

Name: King Leonard
Age: 46
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Profile: Leonard is a man of stature, philosophically and literally. He believes that the status of one in society is set, unchanging, and the one thing that identifies a person for who they are. He also stands at six foot four. He, to others, is an ignorant individual who abolishes those who challenge him or his ideas. In this, his power is massive over his people. He is also a fearful man who strikes a sort of nervousness into the soul of one who looks into his eyes. Leonard was not always like this however. Before he took power, some say he was a man with a heart of gold, a real kind boy. Most believe the change of spirit came with his power, and his weapon.
Weapon of Choice: Great Sword - Gergoth: A massive blade entombed in elegantly carved stone. If the stone casing were to fall off, an immense and god-like power drenched in darkness would result. It's power is rumored to be nearly limitless.

The Rebels United

Name: Julius Ferna

Appearance:

Profile: The esteemed leader of the Rebellion. He often finds himself taking charge before anyone else, and almost always has a smooth and calculated plan. As calm as he normally is, Julius seems quite cold at times, and others he might be friendly. A few consider him to be bipolar, but he knows that it is because of his past. He knows not to trust certain people, and when a person is around that he knows he cannot trust, he acts rather unconcerned with anything. How Julius received and gained his eyes remains a mystery to all.
Messiah's Gift: Soul Gaze: Allows the insight into another person. Their face must be visible in order for the following to be effective. The ability allows the user to see all aspects of a person, including their personality and even their current emotion. However he cannot read thoughts or anything top-notch of the sort. In addition, Julius can toy with the mind of a person whom he locks gazes with, which is not difficult because of his awkward eye color. Such things include but are not limited to hallucinations and inducing a dream-like state. Hypnosis is something he is working on.
