Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP) Empty Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP)

Post by Zerifachias Sun Nov 01, 2009 7:26 pm

Tis a pokemon role play. I'm bringing Marriland ideas over here darn it! ^^

I am accepting 3 others.

Back in the day, pokemon were all about battling, who could become the top pokemon trainer? The pokemon master of the world? Who out of these distinguished characters caught every kind of pokemon there is to catch?

But this changed, over time. Pokemon battles did not become the only focus, Contest battles awakened from the depths of the Battling Era, creating a new era, which we call the Contest Battle Era. Contests became more and more unique and challenging, with increasing technology and fans.

After this, battles became less and less popular, and eventually, wars and crimes began to decrease. However, from the ashes of failed evil organizations, a new one sprung up with such deadly force that no one had ever seen before. Kidnappings and assassinations were executed and the world was thrown into a state of terror. Now it is up to four brave trainers to take this evil organization down once and for all, ending the world's chaos and despair.

Team Destruction

The New Hope

Name: Serene Lily
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Lily's flowing brown hair is matched only by her dazzling green eyes. A sleek and slim form, Lily tends to be misunderstood as a frail little girl. Normally, she has her hair lying flat on her back, with short bangs resting on her forehead. A brown jacket overlaps a yellow undershirt, concealing her small chest and stomach. Blue jeans keep her legs warm, and brown boots cover her tiny feet. Not much of a person for head wear, Lily keeps a hairpin stuck in her hair, which forces the hair over her right ear back. Other than that one pin, Lily refuses to touch her hair with clothing or other accessories.
Personality: Lily's fiery personality conflicts with her looks. Instead of being a weak and frail little girl, instead, she is a strong and quick-tempered woman. Like clockwork, Lily switches moods rapidly, one small thing could set her off on a rampage, or just turn her into butter.
Biography: Lily's parents were killed while she was still young. The story behind the attack is long, but vivid as a summer's day.

Lily was in elementary school at this time. Her parents never come to pick her up, she preferred to walk home with her friends. So this day did not feel wrong to her, everything was as it should be. Until, at least, Lily reached her home. The front door was missing, and several windows were broken. But, the one thing that scared her the most, were the two men, covered and masked in black clothing and helmets, standing in front of the house in her yard. They were holding torches in their hand, looking ready to throw them. Lily's friends, who were also there, quickly tried to get away, while at the same time, trying to convince Lily to run. Lily was paralyzed, unable to move due to the fear that engulfed her. She wanted to save her parents, but she might be killed in the process. The thought was too much to bear. The two men threw the torches at the house just as Lily screamed her lungs out.

For a long time, Lily remained in her uncle's house, silent as a moused and holed away in her room. She wouldn't speak, or even eat. Days passed, resulting in an unhealthy change in Lily's figure. She grew skinny as a twig, and still refused to talk. Even if she had tried to talk, all that would come out was a whisper, due to her not using it for so long. Nothing seemed to cheer her up, to bring her from her hiding place.

One day, an announcement was made that two men, clothed in black, were caught. The two men were quickly executed for their wrongdoings. Lily, who realized that the two men were the ones who had killed her parents and burned down their house, began to feel strange, as if a heavy burden had been taken from her shoulders. Her spirit quickly lifted, and Lily's life resumed it's normality.

Then, Lily learned that this wasn't the only instance of murders. Multiple people suffered the same fate as her own parents. The crimes were all done by men clothed in black, and were now calling themselves Team Destruction. Receiving a letter from the one and only Professor Gary Oak, Professor Samuel Oak's grandson, Lily was to report to his lab immediately, there was a task for them.

Pokemon: Cradily, Armaldo, Solrock, Blastoise, Metagross, Togekiss

Masquerade wrote:Name: Sylvia Valentine
Age: 16
Gender: Female

Appearance: Upon her visage, a tranquil smirk is commonplace. Her crimson eyes accentuate a strange, somewhat malevolent aura, yet her whimsical countenance misleads many into thinking she is a carefree individual. She has very light brown hair that she keeps in two ponytails, one on each side of her hair, that go down a little past her shoulders. Her pale skin and soft lips make her stand out in a crowd, but the light crescent scar on her neck stands out more. She is usually found wearing a short, light red skirt with both horizontal and vertical, solid black stripes on it. A knee-length, black overcoat adorns her slim figure and overlaps her nice, white, collared dress shirt. The overcoat has two silver buttons that are always fastened, covering her torso. At the end of the sleeves are white, prominent cuffs with silver studs that match her buttons. Two dainty white gloves hide her hands from the world. Also, she is never found without her green tie with diagonal white stripes. On her feet rest elegantly crafted, black dress shoes that have long, white stockings coming out of them that travel a ways above the ankle, but stops short below the knees. She wears her pokeballs at her waist. (Her appearance is based off of Maka Albarn from Soul Eater: http://www.basugasubakuhatsu.com/blog/wpcontent/uploads/2008/08/soul-eater-400x568.jpg)

Personality: The air that she gives off often confuses new people that she meets, and still even her friends. However, overall, she tends to be fairly cheerful in her own demented way. In a battle, her spirit is fierce, but with beauty to match. Her movements are elegant, depicting a slight arrogance that she possesses. In the most serious of moments, she finds humor to be useless. These are the times where it's best to keep out of her way. Otherwise, she finds a good joke or two to be quite pleasant. When wanting to relax, she'd rather do it with a friend she can just chat with. She doesn't get upset easy, but it DOES happen, and it may even be over the most subtle of things such as telling a joke at the wrong time. Typically, she does not become afraid unless the lives of one of her friends or pokemon is at risk, but it is fear that brings the best out of her. So far, it has done her well, but every day, she is tormented with the thoughts of when her ability to protect her friends falter, causing them all to lose their lives. Although quiet, as long as she has friends nearby, the brooding thoughts don't bother her, but when left alone, she can get quite upset. She never cries in front of people if she does so at all. She has too much pride to let anyone see her in despair.

Biography: Originally from Petalburg City in the Hoenn region, like most trainers, Sylvia began her journey at the age of 10. However, she had an advantage, seeing as how she already had her first pokemon, a Budew she named Aroma in anticipation of its evolution into a Roselia. She received Aroma when she was 6 as a present from her father who lived in Mossdeep City and worked at the Space Center there. Every day, she would care for her new pokemon and train with it in the forests around her home. "I'll take care of you, Aroma. You will grow big one day and produce the most beautiful flowers for everyone to look at. An embodiment of my heart...just as I am Daddy's 'embodiment of his heart'. Grow with me, Aroma. We will be unstoppable." She spoke those words and made them so.

Thus, she travelled around the Hoenn region participating in contests and winning ribbons left and right. However, her major obstacle came when, in a contest in Mossdeep City, she had to face off with her father. The loss cost her the ribbon and with utmost determination, she set off into the wilderness of an island somewhere off in the sea that Mossdeep was located in. Returning two years later, at the age of 12, she participated in another Mossdeep contest and decimated the competition with moves that brought tears to the eyes of the judges. In the battle against her father, she held nothing back and devastated him. At the end of the battle, she fell to her knees, a smile on her face and tears flowing from her eyes. "Do you feel better now?" her father had asked. It turned out that in her heart, she had been frustrated with the fact that her father had been missing from the majority of her life. Beating him was the only way to teach him a lesson. With a loving hug from her father and the most important ribbon of her life, she set out once again to participate in more contests.

After obtaining enough ribbons, Sylvia turned her attention to the Grand Festival of Hoenn. Previously, she had found no challenge at other contests since the one she had one in Mossdeep and she longed for a good battle. Perhaps this was the time her arrogance began. In the Grand Festival, she triumphed over and over again. In the final contest battle, she struggled greatly at the hands of a masked trainer named Nil. After a valiant endeavor, Sylvia lost. She smirked at the hands of defeat as Nil calmly left the stage, taking his ribbon with him. It turned out that what drove her most was the possibility of getting stronger. She figured that the only way to truly broaden her horizons was to travel to different regions and get to know her own even better.

However, her journey had been interrupted after a few years by the fleeting chaos that spread throughout the world...If she was ever to attain her dreams, something would have to be done...

Appearance: Despite being sixteen, Amaya stopped growing at the age of ten and so, looks like a ten year old. Her expression never changes from its passive look, even in the more dire of situations. She has long, silver white hair that reaches an inch or two below her shoulders. Her only visible eye, the right one, is a dull gray color, having lost its light long ago. Her left is covered by a bandage that has also been wrapped around her head a few times before being tucked in. Amaya wears a white blouse with sleeves long enough that they cover her hands, leaving only the tips of her fingers and nails visible. Her nails are extremely sharp looking and comparable to small claws. She also wears a pair of white pants with a white mini skirt over it. Around her neck is a white bandanna with a tiny design of a Pokeball at one of the corners. She wears a white belt around her waist, positioned in a way that it's slipping downward but not off her waist. A small pouch is attached to the belt where she keeps most of her items while her Pokeballs hang from her belt.

Personality: Absolutely nothing fazes her. Even if she were to be stabbed or thrown off a cliff, her expression would never change. She appears dead to the world, almost like a walking corpse. Amaya hardly ever speaks and when she does, it's always dead sounding with no energy behind it. She is extremely obedient, however, and will follow the words of anyone that reminds her of any of her siblings. Amaya also goes to great lengths to keep her Pokemon safe, even if it means killing others or hurting herself to do so.

Biography: The youngest of five adopted children, Amaya was considered the baby of the family, especially once she stopped growing. She was always being pampered and taken care of, even when she didn't want it. Amaya never protested, however, because the happy faces upon her bothers and sisters was enough to make the words die away before they could even form in her mind. And no matter how much she frowned and scowled and glared at her family, she was happy with the attention. Because it meant they loved her and that was all she ever needed. Had ever wanted.

When she stopped growing, the other children in the neighborhood would bully her because she was so much smaller than them. Amaya had endured it for weeks, not wanting to cause trouble for her family. When her siblings found out, it wasn't a very pretty sight. In the end, she was never bullied again but had been smacked a few times by her siblings for not telling them of her situation.

"We're supposed to protect you. After all, we're family. So don't hesitate to count on us. Alright?"

With those words, Amaya could do nothing but obey. And she has regretted doing so ever since. The day they died, lost forever in the abyss, was the day she lost herself. Consumed with guilt for she truly believed it was all her fault they died, Amaya lost all feeling and now wanders the land with her sibling's old Pokemon. Searching, always searching, for a new place to call home.

Silas normally wears pale, pinstriped pants, a white T-shirt, a pair of blue sneakers //think Converses//, a soft, brown longcoat, and a long, rainbow-colored scarf. All this, along with his mop of dark blue hair, gives him a rather eccentric appearance. He appears to almost always have a sunny smile spread across his face, and he has an air of recklessness and confidence that most who are eccentric seem to have. His bright, green eyes constantly take things in, as if he's never seen any of it before in his life.

Personality: Silas has a personality that matches his sense of style: sunny, eccentric, and confident. He always has something to smile about, no matter the situation, believing that if you can't find that silver lining in something, it's probably not worth it. Silas knows that some find him irritating, but he simply brushes them off as grouches, grumps, and humbugs. He's also bright and curious about everything, to the point of being nosy.

Biography: Silas Nobuyuki grew up with an average family in the old Johto region. He had a sister and a dog, made excellent marks in the local school, and sat at family dinners in the living room every night. He had plenty of friends and games to play with, but it all became boring after a while. There was nothing new to do anymore, no more unknown places to explore, until the day he found a Pokemon laying injured on the side of a road.

The Pokemon was a Pidgeot. It's wing had been broken, so it was unable to fly and hunt for food. Silas' parents allowed him to nurse it back to health and keep it. During this time, the Pidgeot earned the nickname 'Piggy', due to its 'bottomless pit'. So, when Slias turned ten, he discovered a whole new world he could adventure in when he received his trainer's license. His parents lent him enough money to keep Silas and Piggy fed and healthy, and bought him a ticket on a ship headed to the Kanto region.

There, Silas grew as a trainer and a person, catching and training his Pokemon, showing them the same love gave to Piggy. He and his Pokemon never cared for the so-called 'Contest Battles', preferring instead to prove their skills in real battles, whether in the wild or in a Gym. They won some and they lost some, but they never gave up. Eventually, they won as many badges as they could and were working towards the legendary Elite Four until word reached Silas and his team of a new evil on the horizon. A new Team Rocket or Aqua and Magma the people were calling this new organization, but far more deadly . . .

Pokemon: Pidgeot - "Piggy", Teddiursa - "Teddy", Flareon - "Blaze", Chinchou - "Jolt", Espeon - "Luna", Sunflora - "Cupcake"

Hey, if you'll hang about for a little while, I'll post a proposed profile. I'm going to have to leave over the weekend, and I have no guarantees that I will be able to post. Hehe, I'm going to go see my little sister on Friday, and I won't get back until Sunday.

Is that alright? Or should I not bother?

It's fine, I'll be posting an application eventually.

Deadline has been extended to Sunday. It is NOT first come, first serve people. Best applications are the determinant.

Hey thanks.

I didn't think that it was first come, first serve, I was only concerned that I'd post a profile, maybe get accepted, and then I wouldn't be able to post for a few days and then promptly get kicked for inactivity. It's mainly based on if's, but that was what I was worried about.

Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP) Empty Re: Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP)

Professor Oak paced around his study, the storm outside only agitated him further. He only hoped the four trainers received his letter for assistance. Four letters, designated to call forth the only hope left for the pokemon world. It had already been a week, the trainer Oak had chosen to be the leader should be arriving sooner or later.

One of Oak's assistants approached the old man, "Sir, please. Your pacing is making everyone else nervous..." He said quietly, motioning to the other grim faces behind him.

Oak sighed, "Right, I apologize everyone. But this new evil organization is truly getting on my nerves."

Suddenly, "Professor Samuel Oak! Allow us to rid you of all fear!" Boomed a voice from outside. Oak and his assistants jumped in surprise, resulting in the Pokemon Professor dashing outside to see what was happening.

The entire lab was surrounded by machines and the members of Team Destruction. The logo was printed on each of their shirts and all of the machines. A white and green fire surrounding a blue D. Oak gritted his teeth in anger, unable to contain his rage at the evil organization, that was practically knocking on his door.

"Professor Oak, prepare to lose your life to us, Team Destruction!" A tall man spoke into the megaphone from atop a hot air balloon. His fiery red hair matched the malevolent look from his cold black eyes. He wore a uniform slightly different from the others, obviously symbolizing a higher rank of authority in the Team. "Now, before we attack you, hand over all your re-"

"Armaldo! Ice Beam!" Shouted a voice. A beam of bitterly cold ice streaked towards one of the machines. The beam hit, freezing the entire machine over, while also capturing a few other Grunts. "Cradily! Earth Power!" The voice shouted again, this time Oak could tell it was female. The ground below the machine began to glow an eerie red color. Eventually, the entire ground under the machine was covered, and exploded in a huge force of power.

"Armaldo, Ancient Power!" A huge ball of white energy flew up at the hot air balloon, exploding on contact and forcing the balloon to fall, injuring quite a few Grunts.

A girl, standing beside two rather large fossil pokemon ran up to Professor Oak, her hair wet and flattened by the rain. Despite the rain, she looked beautiful. Could this person be the leader figure Oak had been waiting for?

"Professor! I hope you're alright," She said in the most angelic voice, much different from when she was giving orders. Back then, she sounded like a feirce war commander, shouting out orders to his minions. "My name is Lily, you sent for me, remember?"

"Ah yes," The professor nodded, "I remember, thank you for helping me."

"Insolent little child!" The Commander shouted, "How dare you interrupt me, Commander Alex of Team Dest-"

"Energy Ball!" Lily interrupted again. The Commander grimaced and looked down at the Cradily, who was still out of it's pokeball. However, it wasn't doing anything. The Commander, confused, looked back down at where the girl had been, but instead of seeing her standing in the same spot, saw that she had used the machines as a springboard to jump up to his own hot air balloon.

"You shouldn't be flying so low to the ground, you know!" Lily shouted as she grabbed his wrist and threw him face-down on the basket. Lily glared at the rest of the Grunts, "None of you move, or I'll throw your Commander off the balloon." She threatened as the hot air balloon rose into the air. Lily looked down at her Cradily and nodded. The Cradily then started picking off the Grunts, with some help from Armaldo.

It took some time, but eventually, the Grunts had come to their senses and retreated. Lily landed the hot air balloon, tying the Commander's arms and legs with rope. They had successfully captured a hostage, but to what end?

"They will come back for their commander." Lily said, "I better stay here until the others arrive."

"You have our eternal gratitude, Lily." Oak said, his assistants throwing in their own hints of praise and admiration. "We will hand over the Commander to Officer Jenny tomorrow morning, so please, come inside and rest, you must be tired."

"I am," Lily agreed, "Cradily, Armaldo, thank you, why don't you two take a rest as well?" Lily returned the pokemon to their respective pokeballs, following the Pokemon Professor inside his laboratory, escaping from the rain.

~~~
Okay guys, you all arrive three days after this event, so the Commander is no longer there and Lily is getting impatient. Present your opening posts, arriving at the lab and presenting your characters to Lily and Professor Oak.
We start off in Kanto. There is a restricting on moves a pokemon may know. That number is 6.
Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP) Empty Re: Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP)
A flash of lightning streaked the sky with plasmic glory and terrifying might of divine proportions. In that single stroke of light, a pale face became illuminated and stood out for a brief second against the canvas of the darkest gray that beset the countenance of the atmosphere. Sylvia sighed and cursed her horrid luck. The rain soaked through her overcoat, drenching her dress shirt and her skirt did not escape saturation either. The once dirt path that she was following had become a torrential trap of foolhardy mud. I've grown weary of this rain anyways.
She dug around inside her overcoat and pulled out a poke ball. "Psyche, steal the limelight!" Sylvia exclaimed as she tossed the ball into the air. A Kirlia emerged with very formal stature and performed a practiced curtsy. Sylvia laughed uneasily. "Whoops, I kind of forgot that this was not a contest. Such indiscretions only serve to get us more wet." She watched as Psyche began looking into the sky with distaste. "Psyche, come closer to me and use Safeguard," Sylvia said softly and gestured for her Kirlia to stand near her.
Psyche seemed to know what Sylvia was suggesting and rushed over to her trainer. With minimal effort, Psyche deployed a green barrier that blocked the rain. Sylvia sighed again. "Too bad I did not come up with this idea earlier. Now I can see the damn laboratory." She grimaced, and such a frown plagued her face that even Psyche picked up on the poor girl's emotions and joined her in her agonizing reverie. "Let's move."
Sylvia and Psyche traversed the hazardous road a ways until they stood at the door of Professor Oak's pokemon laboratory. It was not too long ago that Sylvia received that fateful letter. She had wondered why she was chosen, though it did not take long for arrogance to warp her thoughts into one of boasting magnitudes. To think that someone actually needs me. But what could this guy want from me? To see some of my dazzling contest moves? Is he some sort of sick freak who preys on young female coordinators? In her mind, she chuckled at the grotesque thought. She often laughed away such uncouth thoughts, but being alone allowed for them to proliferate. Need...human...contact. Without anymore hesitation, Sylvia knocked upon the door with suppressed vigor.
A Pidgeotto flew low just over the draining clouds, its rider’s rainbow scarf and blue hair fluttering. The rider smiled, behind Pidgeotto’s head to shield himself from the wind. Above the clouds, everything looked bright and pristine, even the sun shone on the swirly depths of the rain clouds. It wasn’t everyday one could see something like this. Something in the rider’s hand beeped and he looked down at the device he held. It showed a digital map, and a point on it was blinking.
“We’re getting close, Pig. Take us under!” The rider shouted to make himself heard. Piggy obliged and began to descend at about a 45 degree angle to the ground. The rider’s breath was taken as they flew through the clouds. It felt as if they were flying through a thick, cold mist. The shock of the cold was broken a second later as Pokemon and rider broke through the clouds. Far below, the rider could see his destination, the rain and distance making the lab seem dim and small.
Prof. Oak’s lab grew bigger and bigger with every passing second. The Pidgeotto kept descending until it was very low over the ground, and then pulled level. It was flying low, just above the treeline, over a muddy path. The rider squinted as he thought he saw something or someone below as the pair flew over, but a large raindrop splashed in his face and he spent the next few moments wiping water out of eyes.
“Should’ve worn goggles.” He said to himself. As the lab came into much clearer view, the rider tapped a button on the device. Its screen blanked out and stuck it in one of the pockets of his coat. Piggy alighted on the ground a few steps from the lab’s entrance, and the rider hopped off nimbly. He hugged Piggy’s neck and rubbed his beak.
“Alright, good boy! Why don’t go inside and get dry?”
Piggy gave a short screech and the rider opened the door to let the two of them inside. Once in, the rider shook his head to rid his hair of water much like a wet dog would, then smoothed his hair back down as best as he could. Piggy followed suit, making a puddle around himself, then began preening his feathers.
The rider stuck his hands in his pockets, then called out, “Hello? Anyone home?”
Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP) Empty Re: Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP)
"We have to take a left here, Sherry," a petite girl informed softly to her Ponyta, lowering the map in her hands. The Fire type neighed and made the turn, mindful of the human on her back. Memorizing the rest of the route, Amaya carefully folded up the paper and slipped it back into her pouch before gently grabbing hold of Sherry's fire mane.
Understanding the gesture, the Ponyta began to pick up the pace, her trot turning fast into a gallop. Soon, the wind was blowing fiercely at Amaya's face and she closed her eye against it, letting the air blow back at her hair. It was nice, though the feeling didn't really register with her.
She suddenly snapped open her eye and looked up to the sky. Dark clouds were beginning to form. They would have to pick up the pace. Gently, the girl tapped the Ponyta against the neck, pointing a slim finger toward the sky. Sherry let out a low whinny before galloping even faster, as the first signs of rain began to fall.
Amaya knew she was lucky that Sherry could handle even situations like these. Fire types were known for their aversion to water and rain was no exception. Her one eye focused straight ahead, trying to catch a glimpse of their destination.
Seconds later, it began to pour. Knowing this wasn't looking good for Sherry, Amaya tugged at the Ponyta's mane. Sherry just shook her head, continuing on. The girl entertained the thought of forcing the Fire type to stop but then decided against it. Sherry wouldn't be too happy about that. Returning her attention to the front, Amaya blinked once. She could see it now.
Tapping Sherry once more on the neck, the Ponyta whinnied and picked up her speed. Amaya had to hold onto her mane a little tighter, so as not to fall off. By the time the two reached the lab, both were absolutely shocked. Sherry herself was shivering under Amaya's hands as the human got off.
"Let's get you inside," the girl murmured, barely even moving her lips. Without bothering to knock, she pulled open the door and led the Ponyta in first, closing the door behind them. Amaya then looked around, not seeming to notice she was dripping all over the floor.
Silas jumped, surprised by the other trainer's entrance. He could tell she was a trainer because of that familiar look in her eye, it seemed every trainer had it. Plus, the Pokemon gave it away. Piggy ruffled his feathers and squawked, then went back to preening his feathers, still drenched from the rain.
The rainbow clad rider smiled good-naturedly and attempted to greet the other trainer. "Hi, how's it going? I take it you're here to see the Professor?"
Sylvia stood awestruck as her hand remained hovering in the air, closed in a fist as if to knock once more. However, it seemed as though a couple of unmentionable trainers thought they could just barge in without the slightest hint of manners. She gazed nonchalantly down at Psyche and then back to the door left ajar for the elements to ravage the entrails of the building. "Mayhap we should go inside, Psyche? That way, truly polite people can enter and close the door behind them." Psyche nodded and let down her safeguard as she and her trainer entered, and indeed, closing the door behind them. Sylvia was pleasantly overcome with warmth, her dripping clothes offering absolutely no solace as all comfort landed on the floor with the rain.
Psyche shivered a bit and started walking around. "Psyche, where are you going? It's not polite to go snooping around when no one has greeted us!" She made her way, following her pokemon, only stopping once to bow slightly to the other two trainers who had blatantly disregarded the law and practically broke into the house. Ridiculous... she thought with a mock smile upon her face as she bowed. Psyche was making her way around the lab, looking at various machines and the like. "Don't touch any of those, Psyche. You never know what they could do. They might scramble your brains or something....you wouldn't be a very effective psychic pokemon then, would you?" Sylvia asked sarcastically and laughed.
The curious Kirlia glared at her trainer, but seeing the delight in her eyes, also persisted to laugh. Apparently, there was some sort of comprehension between the two that remained out of sight to others. From the outside looking in, Sylvia may have appeared to be a jerk, and the pokemon was insane. But, that was not the case, of course. Sylvia stopped laughing and looked around once more. She was becoming slightly impatient. "If there is anyone here, you have visitors! And you may want to start locking your door from now on!" she called out, her voice holding a slight monotone that echoed flatly throughout the lab.
Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP) Empty Re: Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP)
Post by Zerifachias Tue Nov 24, 2009 8:31 pm
I'm going in order here. But first, enjoy this lovely video:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Professor Samuel Oak. Known as the best Pokemon Professor in the world. People reverie him and his uncanny ability to see through lies and to tell only the truth. Stories about him are told, of his accomplishments, and the professors that he taught to become great leaders. He is also known for being a poetic genius, on top of knowing pokemon more than any other. He has contacts to the Pokeball Manufacturing Company and to Bill, the creator of the Computer Storage System that taps into the pokeball's hardware, and transports it from one place to another. Namely, the Professors in each region has one of these computers to store pokemon. The amount of work that goes into the computer system and the pokeball creation is unbelievable.

However, this isn't the end of Professor Oak's story. There is much more that he has not revealed to the world. Even now, Professor Samuel Oak sits by his desk, his weary mind dreaming of the past. His drawings were top notch, his knowledge was vast, and his ideas became more and more creative as his life progressed. Truly, a genius above all others.

"It's time," Oak sighed. His mind was weary, and he needed to rest. Someone else would have to rise to become his successor. Immediately, Samuel Oak's mind looked towards his grandson, Gary. But no, Gary was already becoming a leader on his own, it seemed that he had no interest in taking Oak's place. The successor would need to be like him: Intelligent, creative, understanding and wise.

"Professor Oak!"

The professor snapped out of his reverie, looking up at Lily from his seated position. He smiled up at the girl, maybe he should wait a little bit. There are still plenty of talented kids out there, why not give all of them a chance? Samuel Oak stood up, understanding the look on Lily's face. The storm from three days past had not stopped. "So that's their goal?" Oak muttered silently to himself. "Maybe I'm overlooking something, I won't tell Miss Serene my suspicions just yet."

"Professor, the other trainers have arrived." Lily reminded him, waiting for him to exit out of the room first. Samuel Oak nodded with a heavy sigh, his aged body slowly making it's way out the door.

Three people stood in the large observation room, one or the other waiting. Lily had let them inside before going to fetch Oak. They didn't know who she was yet, but they would soon. Oak looked back at Lily, as if to ask, "Are they the trainers?" Lily simply nodded.

The Pokemon Professor turned back around and addressed the three trainers he had called. "Greetings, Miss Valentine, Miss Tenkai, and Mr. Nobuyuki. As you know, I am Professor Samuel Oak. And you also know why I have called you here tonight." Oak looked down with sadness, remembering the faces of the evil organization that had threatened him, not three nights before. The professor halted his tears and looked at the trainers. "I must thank you all for coming here. In your hands now lie the fate of this world. Before you were chosen, I searched and searched for the most powerful trainers I could find in this world. With the members of the Pokemon League and Wallace gone missing, it is up to the three...no, I apologize, the four of you."

Professor Oak looked back at Lily and nodded at her to approach. Lily did as she was told and stepped up next to Professor Oak. She didn't smile. The Pokemon Professor held out a hand towards Lily, "This woman has shown enormous promise. Wily like a fox, a mind that rivals my own, and a creative thought process. She is fit to be a leader, and a leader she will be."

"Please, Professor, you flatter me." Lily said, blushing just a little. She then became serious, addressing the group. "My name is Serene Lily. I want to get a few things straight with you three before the liberation of our people begins." She glared at the three to be silent before telling them a narrative:

"About 3 years ago, the world shifted in a revolutionary way. The evil organizations -Team Rocket, Team Aqua, Team Magma, and Team Galactic- have been disbanded. With this, the world began to become a calmer place. the Elite Four even declared that gyms were to be closed, due to inactivity. If one wanted to test their mettle against an Elite Four, they must have won the Grand Festival at least once. The Elite Four had switched from pokemon battles, to pokemon contests. The world was taking a change for the better. Children grow up knowing the excitement and beauty of pokemon by watching contests on the television.

"But there were some who disliked this change. They thought that contest battles were a way of saying humans had become weak. This is not true. Contests take pokemon battles and intensify them even further, while at the same time, making them seem more calming and graceful than just pitting a pokemon against another. To me, Contests are more challenging than pokemon battles. I think you all would agree with me.

"Team Destruction does not understand this, and therefore causes them to do the things that they do.

"In our world, there are many kinds of people. Those who do evil, those who do good, some who are innocent, and still others who are laden with guilt. The strong become leaders, they control which direction they go. Those who are weak feed off of the strong, they use each other for support. When grouped together, they become powerful. Maybe not individually, but as a group, they overcome any kind of obstacle. This is who Team Destruction is. The weak group together and feed off of their leaders. There are strong people in Team Destruction, of that, I'm certain. But I believe that the number of their weak outnumbers the strong.

"With our group, it cannot be that way. I will not, under any circumstance, hold your hand like a mother her child. Everyone in this group must hold fast, be prepared to take any action to benefit us, the liberators of what is supposed to be a free world. Team Destruction aims to take our wills and bend them to their own. We all, not just I, need to be leaders here. If you want to lead, come with me. If you want to wait for orders, get out now."

Lily stared at each one of the trainers, as if daring them to leave or offer their rebuttal. Professor Oak took a step forward, ready to speak. "Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us Lily." Oak nodded in thanks towards Lily, who took a few steps back. Oak addressed all of them this time, "It's been a long day for you all, I'm sure. Go see Nurse Joy in the Pokemon Center. She will have rooms for you all. But Lily, I have to ask you to stay here. There are still some things I need to talk to you about."

"Of course professor. There's something I want to say as well." Lily nodded at the trainers, "I will learn who you three are tomorrow. For now do as Professor Oak asks, and rest at the Pokemon Center."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ugh, that took way too long. >>
Okay, what you are to do, is post. You all have creative minds, I'm sure you'll think of something.
Though Sylvia's demeanor remained incredibly calm, Psyche began violently shaking and fell to her knees. "Why, Psyche, whatever is the matter? Stand," she commanded tersely. Psyche followed her trainer's orders and stood, though her legs were still shaking. She knew that Psyche was manifesting her anger. A shame...., Sylvia began to ponder. I don't take orders, so I guess that's good, but I wonder if she thinks she can boss me around? Choosing favorites already, Professor? Leaving the rest of us in the darkness? My, oh my. He hasn't even tested our abilities. What promise could she have that I--no, we--could not? She glanced over with a strange kindness at the other two trainers in the room.
Silently, and with calculated movements, Sylvia swiftly made her way to the door, opened it, and closed it behind her as soon as Psyche had joined her. A tranquil grin graced Sylvia's face. "Psyche....Psybeam." Psyche began trembling once again, her eyes glowing as a shade of crimson similar to that of Sylvia's. Her face turned towards the sky, the frigid rain pelting down upon her as a strange energy began to gather. With a terrible scream, Psyche released an intense beam of polychromatic hues at a group of trees on the other side of the muddy path. The beam scathed the ground sending moist grass and muck flying through the air. As it traversed the path, it left an fairly deep scar in the earth and ended when the beam collided with a helpless tree, wrenching it from the ground and causing it to fall over.
Smoke drifted aimlessly into the horrid sky. A path of destruction had been set. "Hmm, was I really that angry?" Sylvia asked aloud, unconcerned. "Come, Psyche. We might want to get out of here. Whoever has to fix this mess won't be happy..."
With that, Sylvia began walking once again alongside the path, not wanting to get her shoes any more muddy than they already were. Psyche put up a Safeguard without command, manifesting her trainer's feelings of not wishing to be wet. Protected from the rain, the two made their way to the Pokemon Center in search of the alleviation of the downpour and cold.
Okay, I don't like doing this, but I want this role play to start moving.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lily stood near the exit of the Pokemon Center. She was waiting for her new comrades to finish what they were doing so they could depart. Lily's face was grave, almost as if she had never slept at all. In truth, Lily's sleep had been filled with nightmares and frightful premonitions. Professor Oak had told Lily of his suspicions, which only made Lily more certain of what was causing this downpour.

The rain had not stopped throughout the entire night. Even now, the fourth day, it continued to rain. Lily knew this was not caused by nature, it had to have been something else. Maybe through human hands, but Lily had a sinking feeling it wasn't made by humans.

"If this downpour doesn't stop, then Pallet Town will be flooded." Nurse Joy said worridly, walking up to Lily. "What could ever be causing this downpour?" As she said this, Lily noticed her comrades approaching her. She sighed, there was no helping it.

"I and Professor Oak believe that it is being caused by either a human device, or one of the legendary pokemon, Kyogre. It's not inconceivable, just surprising. It's like Team Aqua all over again." Lily said, looking out at the rain. Sighing again, she turned towards her comrades. "Our first mission is to investigate what is causing this massive downpour. We cannot risk loosing Pallet Town. Oak has kindly agreed to send us any new information he or the other Pokemon Professors to us."

Lily glared at them, "But let me first get something straight with you all. I don't expect us to be friends, or for you to follow my orders. What I do expect, is that you follow Professor Oak's orders, and help rid this world of the evil known as Team Destruction. I am simply a convoy of Oak's orders. All of you have a say in what we do, so I won't really look like much like a leader, unless you say nothing. If you don't want me to be a leader, I suggest you involve yourself in decision-making."

"Now then, we need to get going. Nurse Joy, do not worry, this rain will stop eventually." Lily bowed slightly at Nurse Joy, then left the Center.

((It took me like twenty minutes to realize you skipped the entire night.))

Amaya just blinked once slowly, as if coming out of a daze. It took her a moment to register when the lady had said and by then, Amaya had lost interest in her words. Instead, she turned and walked up to the counter, placing her fingers on the edge to try and peek over. She had left her Ponyta with Nurse Joy overnight, the journey through the rain having taken a lot out of the Fire type.

"Here you are," the nurse said, smiling at the girl as she placed a tray with a single Pokeball onto the counter. She had returned to the counter while Amaya had been preoccupied in her thoughts. Amaya nodded, reaching out to take the Pokeball. Examining it, she held it up to the light for a moment before clipping it back onto its place on her belt. With a small bow of thanks, Amaya moved to walk away. "Have a safe journey."

Amaya paused, looking back at the woman blankly before giving a small nod. The journey would be anything but safe but the concern was nice.Silently, she walked out of the Center, running to catch up with the lady.

Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP) Empty Re: Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP)

When Silas woke finally, he sighed. He had a feeling it was going to be one of those days. Piggy was sleeping next to him on the Center's couch. Silas nudged the bird Pokemon with his foot to wake him, then stretched and groaned. Piggy fluttered to his feet as Silas stood. The trainer smiled brightly at Nurse Joy, his smile seeming in direct contrast with the dismal weather outside.

Silas glanced out at the weather and pulled a Pokeball from his pocket. "Why don't you stay inside today, Pig? Looks like it's still pretty wet outside."

Piggy squawked and lightly pecked at Silas' shoulder in disapproval. "Alright, alright. Just remember you're the one that gave up being dry." Silas pulled his collar up and raised his scarf a little, then walked outside towards the others with Piggy on his heels.

"So, where're we headed?" In the back of his mind, he realized he would be traveling with three girls for the next while. Well, it was sure to be interesting then.

Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP) Empty Re: Transposing a Lilliad for Pokemon (TLaP)

((Zeri, you need to be a bit more patient; rushed role plays are hard to keep up with and it disorients the players. (e.g. Xenosaga) ))

Sylvia had awoken much earlier than everyone else. She deigned to watch the moon for a while from atop the Pokemon Center, and thus, when she heard people talking inside, she leapt down from the roof landing gracefully on her feet with the help of Psyche, who still had her Safeguard deployed. "And to think that I was going to have you forget that move," Sylvia said aloud with indifference. With that, she entered the Pokemon Center and joined her new fellows--the quiet one and the one with the gaudy scarf. She listened as the haughty girl went on and on about "rain" and "leadership" and other such boring topics. A whimsical tune was playing in her head all the while; something that she had picked up from a commercial on the television or something. When the girl finally stopped talking, Sylvia shrugged.

She followed her two allies, for she didn't consider this "Lily" as an ally yet, outside into the rain once again of which she was beginning to grow tired of. If she boasted such undeniable ability, Sylvia would have to see it first before acknowledging her. "All right, you two," she spoke without hesitation. "My name is Sylvia Valentine. It is a great pleasure to meet you." She bowed slightly. "This is Psyche," she said and gestured to her Kirlia who performed her standard curtsy a little more quickly than usual to keep up the pace. "Seeing as how our 'representative of Oak's orders' wants to rush off all the time, I figured I'd take this very brief chance to introduce myself. And what, may I ask, are your names? Speak quickly now before we're persecuted for dawdling."

Psyche's legs began shaking, but it was barely noticeable. Sylvia observed this fact, however, and began thinking. Geez, I have been getting rather angry a lot lately. I am usually so carefree. Actually, I still am, but it has manifested into something more ferocious. Well, as long as I keep up my whimsical demeanor, no one will notice my anger. She took a quick glance at Psyche. Except her who has to suffer for it. But I need her to keep the rain away. If she keeps hurting, I'll put an end to the thing that has been making me rather angry of late. Her thoughts cleared as she waited patiently for the responses from her teammates.

//Er, I thought we were outside? Oh well.//

Silas smiled again, that sunny smile that seemed to contrast with most everyone else here.

"Well, if I may ladies, I am Silas Nobuyuki." He gave an informal, two-fingered salute, then let his hand drop down into his packet. "Just call me Silas. And this is Piggy, or Pig, my loyal friend and companion."

Piggy held his head high and squawked, "Pidgeo!" He dipped his head in his own kind of bow, majestically spreading his wings. Silas poked his head and the Pidgeotto turned to snap at him in return, missing on purpose. After he settled, Silas laughed. "Don't mind him, he's a bit of a showoff. Earns him a couple of bruises in quite a few battles."
