Now that the labyrinth had been successfully traversed by the group, they continued onwards, still in search for great treasures. The following passageway was narrow and uncomfortable, for it had loose bricks hanging out of the wall and shanty flooring that seemed to be crafted centuries ago. As the small passageway slowly grew into another extremely large room, the party gasped in awe.

Hieroglyphics were engraved upon the golden, brick walls; ominous, Egyptian-like pictures were also crafted upon the walls, showing detailed illustrations that portrayed sacrifices to the gods. Upon the walls were three different hallways, all of which were guarded by what seemed to be sandstone cylinders that were formed into the shape of a cellar window.

The other side of the cellar wasn't lit by dim torches, as the party's side had been. Due to this setback, what hid behind the bars, cloaked in a sheet of darkness, remained unknown.

As the party inspected the bars that had stopped them from moving forward, the same voice from earlier bellowed, "Must I tell you to leave once more?! Leave at once, foolish travelers! If you fail to heed my call, then you will be lost within this temple for the remainder of time!"

Suddenly, the panels that made up the messy floor of the temple quickly spurt up into the air and began to mold and shape into what seemed to be two different monsters created from earth.

Vines and plants also burst out of the ground, blooming into a flourishing, flower like creature with hundreds of tendrils. It roared, signaling the beginning of a new battle.

Chapter I ~ II : Behind the Shadows

Location -- Lystere : Gul'Zaar Jungle : Castillo Ruins : Ancient Gate

Objectives: Breach the temples defenses and enter the treasure room!

Atmosphere: Dark Room [20% Chance of Miss] / Dim Torches [Dark Room Negated if Next to Torch] / Extreme Humidity [+30% Water / Null Fire]

Vivi starts at K8!

Vivi ran towards a nearby torch, not wanting to be attacked. Wiping her brow, she looked at the flame. It didn't make sense how it could burn in this humidity. But she didn't care, all she wanted to do was not get hurt.

Lyra starts at K7.

Lyra began to pant as she entered the room. It was so humid she felt like she was going to die. "Gah.....," she muttered. "What is up with this place. They need to think about installing some dehumidifiers in here." She took the chance to glance around. There were some elementals in front of them, she could tell. The dim and flickering lights of the torches cast eerie shadows around them, but she wasn't scared. Magic would be her friend in this battle.

Kevin stared and stared at the opposing beasts. Before, when he had not seen the beasts from the start, he just did what he wanted to do in order to quell his own boredom. But now, he waved both of his arms in the air wildly and shrieked at the top of his voice.

"Lyra!" Myuu called running up to the Witch. He slid to a stop next to her, panting. He had ended up running the entire way to her. "I'm so glad you're okay!" He let out a shaky smile but it disappeared quickly when the Angel caught sight of the things in front of them.

Myuu whimpered, shrinking back. This was not good. Not good at all.

Mei stood a bit away from the plant creature; she would have to get a running start if she were to charge that creature and hopefully she could finish that thing off quickly before it does any harm to the others. She pulled her gloves on and slightly adjusted her arm guards, then she got into a fighting position.
