Ling starts at cell H-5

Ling stood beside the butler and glared at the girl. She was calm, a bit too calm. It irked him for some reason, yet strangely her deadly intent reminded him of Zero. But that was beyond the point, anyways Ling unsheathed his daggers, he could tell that this would be a difficult battle.

"I. . . . . do believe we're in trouble," Layla hesitantly mumbled. She hated to admit it but this woman was strong. In fact, she was reminded of the times Raven forgot to hide his killing intent while she was around. Yet, somehow, she couldn't help but feel excited about it.

Exhaling, she turned a determined gaze onto the mysterious girl, needles raised and ready.

[Layla] starts at [J-5].

Player Phase 1!

August uses Bow and Arrow!

August can now use Bow and Arrow abilities!

The girl was dangerous. Period. The trickle of mist that surrounded August immediately took the form of a bow with a quiver full of arrows on his back. There was no way he was getting too close to the girl. There was something about her. She was too sure of herself. Power beyond imagination must rest in her hands. The group could only do their best to defend themselves, but how long could they last?

August waits.

She had to be cautious. One wrong move, one wrong step and she would end up dead. Layla narrowed her eyes. She couldn't let that happen. She had to keep going and return and tell Raven all about her adventures.

She had to figure out the best course of action. Swallowing, Layla dug her feet into the ground, completely tense.

[Layla] waits.

Aria starts at J1!

Aria had drifted through the trees, appearing on the battlefield too quietly. She didn't figure the girl would be able to hit her. So this was her chance for a surprise. Letting off a strange whistle, it sounded much like an owl, Aria flickered.

Aryn dared not move forward to attack. With the others all hesitating, it would be suicide. But the knight could feel that this battle would not be one they would survive, no matter how many sacrifices she made for them. That grim sentence set her countenance into one of acceptance.

Loki moves to G4.

Loki took only a single step forward. As innocent, maybe even absent-minded, as the girl looked, that spear looked lethal. He didn't have any way of reaching her from where he was, but he didn't want to leave the others behind either.

Loki waits...

The girl was unfazed by everything the party was doing. With a swift movement, she slashed the air with her spear. At that moment, several branches shot out of the top of it, each branch equipped with its own spear point. The branches surged through the air and stabbed at the whole party viciously before returning to the spear. "It is pointless to fight back; just let it happen," she stated simply. A nearby bird caught her attention. She raised a hand and watched as a dark tendril strangled it to death. The bird's corpse fell to the ground.

Lucidity waits.

August moves to F5.

August was forced to the ground, his blood seeping into the earth. "Wh-what in the w-world?" he managed to gasp. How was she so powerful? She had already felled a couple of others on the team. He knew he was at the periphery of death. It would soon be coming to grasp him. Slowly, he arose and stumbled forward a bit. The girl...she was just too far away. He aimed at her with his bow unsteadily. Was it even possible to hit her in his condition? He had to try.

August uses Aim!

MP: 24/30

August's next attack will deal double damage!

"The hell...?" Solo spat at the same time two speared branches were heading towards him at full speed, absolutely unavoidable.

Lucidity's attack pierced his body so easily, yet she had put little effort in doing it. Solo flinched painfully and stabbed his blade down to the earth, grabbing his wounded chest with his other free hand. He shot out a cumulus of crimson liquid to the venomously-colored grass, and did his best to ignore the pain and stand.

Knowing that he wouldn't stand a chance against another strike from the enemy, Solo went ahead and unleashed his mighty combo. Probably would be easily blocked...

Solo moves to C6 (G6 - F6 - E6 - D6 - C6).

Solo uses Thrice Slice on Lucidity!

"Arh!" The branches hit Aryn with such force, it was unbelievable that one person could have so much power. Her legs buckled underneath her, and she nearly gave in to the weakness, but stood unsteadily. Her knowledge of healing was literally of no use in this battle. There was no way she would be able to keep everyone alive in the woman's next onslaught. And if there was, Aryn didn't see it.

She fell to her knees. "I forgive myself this helplessness . . . " she said weakly, feeling the power in the words begin to heal her.

Aryn casts Healing of Forgiveness on herself! Aryn is healed for 17 HP.

The Western Capitol and Port City, Dylath-Leen...

Background: ~Port of Significance~

The infirmary was nice and cool, perfect for keep any surviving bacteria sluggish. They would be wiped out, for the room was cleaned once an hour and every hour. Several beds were quite full this day.

"Do you....no. I know you told me but...I understand," a female voice said to someone at the doorway of the room where eight beds rested in, seven of which were occupied. "I need to know...I don't care! Rules may be rules but....Can you stop interrupting me for a second?!" Silence. "I apologize. Understood." With that, the woman closed the door and looked around the room at the seven figures. She was a nurse, one that was special, for she had ties to the military. She brushed the blonde bangs out of her eyes to get a better look at the people; they were all patched up now, their wounds cleaned and bandaged.

"My, oh my, what happened to you poor guys?" she wondered aloud. She plopped down miserably into a chair next to one female's bed. She was just a little girl. Who could have done this to her? Tears began to form in her brilliant blue eyes, and the drops ran down her fair cheeks. They fell and stained her clean, white nurse's uniform with little circles. The woman had been a nurse for several years now, but her heart had never hardened to such sights as these. Seven people. Seven slaughtered and left to die.

"I guess that it's best that whoever did this didn't finish the job," she said, realizing that the small group had actually been lucky. They had been discovered right at the edge of town, which was strange. The detectives had determined that they had been moved, for someone would have noticed those seven people being killed right at the edge of town. They also determined that it had to have been a person or another dreamer who attacked them, for a dream beast would have eaten them up for sure.

August coughed and managed to slowly open his eyes. The nurse noticed right away and stood up, straightening her uniform. She briskly approached his bed and checked him up and down. "Are you awake now?"

In response, August weakly nodded his head. He remembered being roughed up by the young girl, but surprisingly, he didn't feel too much pain. He watched the nurse going around to other beds to check on the others.

"Finally....if one has awoken, the others can't be too far off..."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ruins of Sarnath, Military Outpost....

The man had just been in that cool infirmary and already here he was in the scorching desert. "I'll definitely have to do something about my job; I can't keep travelling like this," he grumbled, brushing some sand out of his beard. His tanned skin wasn't much affected by the strength of the sun, but sweat still beaded on his forehead. His hat was keeping him shaded and allowing him better eyesight, but he had forgotten his goggles, so he still had to keep taking time to get sand out of his eyes that was blown at him by the wind.

It took him a few hours to reach the military outpost that the general had set up by the Ruins of Sarnath, a new point of interest. Surprisingly, archaeologists hadn't explored it yet, so the Western Military Force, or WMF, decided to check it out first. That way, the archaeologists could explore while having soldiers around to keep them safe, not to mention that any information discovered would first be received by the military; they would be able to classify information that they wouldn't want the public to know. It wasn't as shady as some people made it out to be, but some knowledge was best kept under wraps.

He entered the general's tent with his head held high. He removed his hat and tucked it under his left arm as he approached the general who was sitting in a plain wooden chair behind a hastily crafted wooden desk. "Lieutenant Brandon Eidelwise reporting, sir," he spoke tersely, waiting for the general to respond.

The general wasn't a typical guy. First off, he was fairly young. He was 21 years old, to be exact. He had been in the military since the age of 16 and astoundingly soared through the ranks with his amazing strategical and battling expertise. His short, jet black hair was combed back, nice and slick. Upon it sat a cap that showed his rank as general: an emblem on the front displayed a wise owl with a sword in one hand and a scroll in the other. His uniform was clean and pressed, the color black as night except for his white undershirt. Piercing crimson eyes rested upon Brandon's visage, his mouth turned down in a grimace. "Welcome to the Ruins of Sarnath, Lieutenant Eidelwise," he said, his tone lazy and whimsical.

"Much appreciated, Sir," Brandon replied and bowed his head slightly. "Are you okay, General? You seem a bit...out of sorts, if you do not mind me saying, Sir."

The general waved his hand nonchalantly. "You may say what you wish, as long as it isn't too outlandish. You must know, Lieutenant, that I am not know for cruelty or harshness, but for my excellence in battle and my amazing strategical prowess." He watched as Brandon nodded and smiled casually. "Excellent. Well, if you must know, I am a bit out of sorts, as you say. It's just the desert, is all. It's hot during the day, freezing at night, and nothing can escape the grasp of the sand. Not to mention that if you walk a few feet in the wrong direction, you're faced by a giant scorpion. Someone should indeed call and exterminator to get rid of them." He chuckled lightly. "All kidding aside, what do you have for me?"

Brandon brushed some loose sand off of the rags surrounding his uniform. "Well, sir, it concerns...the Dreamweaver..."

The light had faded. She was losing her will to stay in the world. She was an illusion. And if she had no will to stay, then her existence would be gone. If she never existed, maybe none of the events would ever happen. But the light was snuffed out. For it flickered. And it slowly returned to its normal features. Aria disappeared and was up in the corner, her expression expressionless.

Aryn woke with a start and bolted upright. Her sword! Where was her sword?! She threw the covers off of herself, discovering she wasn't wearing her armor either, and jumped off the bed.

"Where am I? What happened to us?" She shouted, spotting the nurse. Aryn noticed the rest of the party, only August conscious and sitting up.

Light violet eyes snapped open and stared at the ceiling above them. They stayed like that, unblinking for only a moment before Layla's sluggish mind finally caught up with her. Her fingers twitched and she found her body refused to move. It was like it was completely numb. Then again, she had been knocked out in two hits.

"Owie. . . . . " she mumbled, closing her eyes. She hadn't been hit this hard since that time Raven forgot to hold back. Myuu had been there to heal her back up though, so she never felt like this before. It was annoying, to say the least. But, Layla found she didn't particularly hate the feeling. Turning her head, she found three of her companions already up, along with an unknown woman. She stared before nodding her head in greeting. "Good morning."

The nurse waved her hands at the female who had jumped out of bed. "Easy, now. Please, you must get back in bed, lest you wish for your wounds to open." She walked up to Aryn and guided her back to the bed and sat her down. "All of your material possessions are being safely kept in this rooms closet. It has a lock that only I have the key to, so you don't have to worry about your things being stolen, okay?"

She heaved a sigh of relief. A majority had already awoken. "Why don't you all tell me your names while we wait for the rest of the people to awaken? My name is Ilsa Handel. Now, your names?" Her smile was radiant, and she took the time to gaze at each one of the people who had woken up. They seemed like nice people; who in the world would want to hurt them?

Ling had come to a while ago, although he didn't bother to sit up. That girl, her strength was beyond his own to have defeated the group before Ling was even able to touch the girl. He was frustrated, the leader of the infamous Seven Sinners, being beaten so quickly, and ending up not being able to even hit the girl.

Only when Ling was finished mentally beating himself up and noticed the others regaining consciousness did he sit up.

"Pride, that's all you need to know." Ling answered, placing a hand on one of the wounds on his shoulder.

"Material possession?" Aryn unwillingly lay back on the bed, the sudden strength of an adrenaline rush fading. "My sword is not just some material belonging. Without it, I am not . . . I am not a knight."

She didn't really expect the woman to understand, not many others seemed to get the relationship between a knight and her sword, not to mention a Holy Knight. Without it, a Holy Knight's abilities were severely limited.

"Aria... Aria... Whisper..."

Aria's face filled with hapiness for a second, but then it faded. She had never told anybody her name. At least she didn't think she had. Turning away from the others, she flickered.

It seemed they didn't find the needles hidden in her clothing. Then again, Raven had her clothes specially made to hide them. She could tell they were there by their weight. Breathing in slowly, the teenager forced herself up into a sitting position. It didn't hurt but it was a little uncomfortable. However, she didn't dwell on it for long. It would pass sooner or later.

"My name is Layla," she said, looking at the nurse. With her appearance, she couldn't give her usual introduction so this would do for now. "Thank you very much for helping us." Silently, Layla hoped they hadn't caused the lady too much trouble. She could see stains on the nurse's skirt, most likely formed from tears. She didn't seem like the type to accidentally spill something on herself and not change.

The nurse listened to each of the people. "Well, it's nice to meet you Pride and Layla." She turned to face Aryn. "I'm afraid I cannot understand the connection you share with your sword, but I can at least indulge you." With that, Ilsa walked over to a door at the back of the room, took out a key, stuck it in the lock on the knob, turned the key, and opened the door. She sorted through all the things until she found a single sword. She brought it out, shut and locked the closet door, and took the sword over to Aryn.

"Here you are. I do hope this is the correct weapon," Ilsa said gently before heading back over to Layla. "Let me reassure you that I have no problem helping you poor things out. That's my job, after all."

August listened intently from his bed, but was still way too weak to talk. He was just lucky he was awake, for several of the others had yet to arouse from their unconsciousness.

Aryn breathed a small sigh of relief when the nurse laid its familiar weight in her hands. "Thankyou for the indulgence. I would help myself, I have knowledge in the art of healing but . . . well." She could tell that at the moment, even healing a scratch would take more effort than she could give. Maybe after a few more hours sleep . . . already her eyelids were drooping.

"Wake me . . . in an hour or . . . three."
