Yeah, now that I've updated Alyssia and Cerberus's profiles, I'm out too. I've got a lot of shit to do and then my mom's picking me up to whisk me away back to Leland, so I might not get anything done until late tomorrow night.

Looks like Lightning will be sticking to Sentinel and Medic for the next battle. Thankfully she has the defenses and the Mp to keep herself from taking too much damage.

Terra will probably use both Eden and Arcadia and then go to work to attempt to deal some major damage with Furia senza Fine. Of course if he is out of range he will use his new move until he gets close enough. Lucky us if he gets wet. =3

Swift-Shift will be most handy for the first turn. Now Lightning can pull the focus to her and the crazy man has to get into range, giving the rest of us a turn to prepare ourselves.

I'm thinking Terra will probably just use Arcadia and if things get rough he'll use Eden. Though with Lightning's extra natural dodge and Elude up, we should be fine for this fight.

Constantine has a gambit that causes him to use his Sure Hit move if a character's evade gets to high.

Also, he'll be the first boss with Phase Shift in effect.

Alright. Lightning will just run around and attempt to dodge attacks then, only using Mp to reactivate provoke and/or to use Cure if necessary.

And will I have to find out what Phase Shift is or will you just tell me? Cause I have a feeling I know what it is, but I could be wrong.

Whenever I hear the words "boss" and "phase" used together in a phrase, I getthis feeling of fright. Silv, let me just tell you that bosses and phases together can never be a good thing. ^^;

You probably already know what it is. It just means at different points of the battle, as we wittle away at the boss's HP, the boss gets stronger, quicker, and their combos get more furious and unexpected.

Oh! Sort of like:

Main Gambit: Self: ≤ 100% Hp
Use Gambit List 1

Main Gambit: Self: ≤ 75% Hp
Use Gambit List 2

Except with different increments. :P

Pretty much. Most normal monsters do that anyway, saving their most powerful or unorthodox skills for when they're low on HP, but bosses aren't limited by what's in their profiles. They'll get more BAs, more move, more damage output, and will be able to link skills to other skills or BAs at will depending on the phase.

Okay, I hear ya.

I'll still stick to my current plan. I think wailing on him and having Lightning try to soak up or dodge damage is a good idea. I think I'll have Terra just buff himself up a bit then he can go on the offensive. He's just a little too weak to do anything extremely significant at the moment.

Sounds like a good plan. With quick heals available to her, Lightning should be fine until we get him down to about half HP or so. Then you might want to let him choose different targets. At that point, taking damage as a team will be better than having one person take up all the damage.

EDIT: Though after spending half the battle going after Lightning, he'll most likely target her at that point anyway unless someone else catches his attention in the meantime.
