Vanessa might only keep her cannon for about 20 levels though, since by then I might have her get the ability to switch weapon forms (melee and ranged with different skills) or change to being a mecha pilot :3

@Allindur: She isn't worried about efficiency, or any of that other crap. Her ingenuity and experience from working with material allows her to be more efficient subconsciously, without trying.

And safety is a basic necessity that all engineers should be well-aware of! Though we can craft our own arms and legs, and maybe eyes, we can't replace vital organs.

Well, about the "how we met stuff" I think it's fairly accurate to assume the 3 engineers are friends or at least work together. I mean, a battlesuit specialist, a weapons specialist and a girl who can assemble stuff from crap metal in seconds. I'm pretty sure they would be doing projects together and telling the rest of the class to screw themselves.

And Angie can introduce Karmen to the other two engineers. Through Karmen, we can know Jacqueline and Dirge.

I have no idea how Rothaire will fit into all this though.

She is a trader, Sallete could have bought a few frowned-upon components from her. She is not the most righteous oerson in the world, and she did all in her power to finish the blueprint for the Engine Sword.

Karmen could have acquired fruit and seeds from Jacqueline for his bird subjects. I don't see a problem with them being friends. And I guess Karmen could have met Dirge in passing; he does have a fondness for music. I don't see them being more than mere acquaintances though.

Rot of the Hair can just be there. You know, she's that weird, sort of eccentric kid in the class that nobody really cares about. :3
And yeah, I still say they're all good friends and they're working on a project together to build a pilot-able mecha :>
