The Adventures of Naletia: The Frozen Core
Centuries after the Second Dragon War, culture and science advanced in the countries of Naletia at an alarming rate. The invention of cannons in the Age of Risen Dragons was what started the sudden lust and need for better technology and cultural advancement. The cannons proved vital in the war versus the dragons, granting any city the ability to defend itself from these giant beasts of fire and ice. With the advancement of technology came a different kind of revolution known to the Naletian lands.
Ermith, once the greatest superpower in Naletia, was suddenly and inexplicably eclipsed by their rival nation, Sar'tu. Perhaps it was because Ermith outlawed certain kinds of research, while Sar'tu welcomed every kind, but perhaps it was also because of Sar'tu's increasing dedication to their survival and prosperity. The nation, once divided into North and South, united under the pretext of becoming the greatest nation in Naletia.
Krephu and Amezi could no longer protect their borders with the natural walls and harsh climates of their lands, so they too had to change, creating advanced societies of their own, but were always kept under the shadows of the two much larger nations. They were only barely able to protect themselves against the might of Sar'tu's massive armies.
It seemed as though Sar'tu and Ermith's bitter feud would never end. Ermith was far greater in terms of military might, but the more advanced technology in Sar'tu prevented Ermith from launching an attack on its rival nation. So there was peace, albeit strained peace. Diplomats and politicians dared not cross over into the other land, but assassins and spies thrived on this danger, and one particular organization of thieves became immensely rich and powerful.
The Black Wings. This one organization started from a single job, the assassination of Ermith's reigning King. This King had no known heirs, so if this man were slain, Ermith would lose their royal line. The same royal line that dates back to the first Human-Dragon War. The assassin who took this job waited for the opportune moment to strike, and when he did, the result was catastrophic. Not only was the King killed, the assassin found a dark and terrible secret: the King was the father of a bastard. The assassin told no one of his finding until much later, when his organization had been founded and him made leader. Now, under no control or obligation to any single country, The Black Wings organization began destroying society and all of its rules.

General Character Plot:
You are a civilian of Ermith, whom for some reason decided not to enlist in the military, despite what you could have provided for your nation. Your character has certain talents that some others do not, and you have trained yourself in secret, avoiding the prying eyes of the passers by. But for better or for worse, during your midday stroll, you end up in trouble. The Black Wings wants recruits, and they've been watching you.

Character Professions:
A futuristic role play is definitely different from what we've all experienced before, that's for sure. As a result, there are some limitations to what kind of profession you can have. But since I trust most of you, I don't think we'll have many problems. That being said, know that magic does not currently have a place in the futuristic world of Naletia, though there are certainly people with the talent.
Because there are people with magical talents still existing in Naletia, I will allow you to make a mage of your very own. However, you must come up with a reason why this person is a mage. You must also ensure that your character does not stand out from others. Magic is a dangerous art and is now frowned upon in society, rather than being admired.
I believe that is all, for now. Sign the forms below to show interest.
