Background: Sav'ri is the leader of a tribe of natives who live in the woods. She rose to her status through her clan's tradition of tooth and claw, killing and hunting all that she came across and bringing forth honor and glory to her name. At a very young age, she adopted a young saberfang tiger wounded from a fight with a basilisk. The tiger had won, but was dying just as the basilisk cast its deadly gaze at it. Sav'ri saved the beast by destroying the basilisk's eyes before the death curse could fully encapsulate the wounded tiger. She nursed the tiger back to life with the milk from her own bosom, and Savri and the beast became fast friends. She named the beast Kuv'ran the White and the two became a fighting force none dared to challenge.

When Sav'ri's son was attacked by yet another basilisk, it was Kuv'ran this time who saved the man-child whom had cast his gaze into the dragon-snake's eyes. He shredded the basilisk to pieces and saved Sav'ri's son, whom was named Yokiin. Basilisks were common in the heavily wooded lands, but none were quite so aggressive as these, so Sav'ri took her spear and her beastly friend and took to the woods, killing and destroying the eyes of every basilisk she could find until they all disappeared deeper into the forest. With dominance over the dragon-snakes asserted, Sav'ri quickly rose in the ranks of her clan and became Chieftain.

Personality: Savage brutality and a thirst for blood and glory are what defines the traits of most tribesmen in Sav'ri's clan. But these were not the only traits of the Chieftain. She was also kind and compassionate, a loving mother to several children and the leader of her clan of warriors. She prowls the forest at the head of her clan atop Kuv'ran, with the scouts that scour and scavenge the forest for its fruits and beasts. She is not known for her mercy, but for Sav'ri, a child's life is far more valuable than any beast or man.

Background: Yokiin is the firstborn son of Sav'ri Ondellate're, but that means nothing in the tribes. One can only be recognized as a warrior the way it has always been: through the hunt. The glory and thrill of the kill was the only way for Yokiin to reach his mother's legacy, as nothing would be handed to him from just blood. Young and foolish, he set out alone to attack the basilisks that roamed the forest and plains area. He killed many, but nearly died and would have if not for Kuv'ran's intervention. The beast had followed Yokiin into the forest and watched him from afar, not interfering but also ready to jump to his aide. Kuv'ran saved Yokiin's life, and Yokiin himself changed greatly.

He became more cautious, and wise to the words of his mother who constantly reminded him of the dangers of the wild. He grew into a formidable fighter and great warrior. Yokiin is well on his way to achieving his goals: to become the next in line for Chieftain. He would only need to beat his mother in single combat, and the throne would be his and his alone until the next generation of sons challenged him.

Personality: Once he was arrogant. He still is, but of a lesser sort. He is confident in his role as Sav'ri's son and future Chieftain and in his abilities. He mostly shows an aggressive side of himself to others, especially to strangers and those not directly linked to his family. To his brother Tavir and his sister Merril, he serves as an older brother, leading the two of them on hunts into the wild together. The three eldest have a kinship that no other tribesman or woman could match.

Background: The second son of Sav'ri Ondellate're, but again that means nothing when it comes to achieving Chieftain. Tavir is known mostly for his skill with the blade and his ability to commune with nature to a high degree. Tavir is one of the few in the tribe who have access to nature's magic, but he dislikes using it for fear of becoming reliant on that power. Instead he challenges his older brother Yokiin to feats of strength and power rather than of nature. He has never won one battle against Yokiin, not without using his advantage of nature's power that was bestowed upon him from within.

Tavir has a mount much like Sav'ri's Kuv'ran, only their relationship is far more hierarchical than Sav'ri and Kuv'ran's fellowship. The beast, known only as Lione, obeys Tavir's commands whether they be against or with his will. Very rarely does the beast ever disobey, and this can lead to Tavir getting mixed into affairs he should not be in. Still though, Tavir has never been more arrogant than his older brother and has designs to put himself on the tribal throne.

Personality: Very ambitious and commanding. If anyone disobeys his commands, he becomes very terse and aggressive towards them, often challenging them to fight him. To those whom obey him, he is generous towards and rewards loyalty with his own. He is kind towards women and does not mind fighting alongside him. Perhaps that stems from exposure to his younger sister, Merril, who always joins him whenever he goes on a hunt.

Background: The third child of Sav'ri Ondellate're was her first daughter, called Merril. Merril grew up to be very close to her two older brothers who would eventually teach her how to fight when Sav'ri did not. She did not take up the sword, instead favoring the spear, which she could throw, and the bow. Merril has always been a careful woman, and a kindred spirit who could commune with nature on a whole different level than Tavir could. When not on the hunt with Tavir, Merril could be found some distance away from the tribe, with her legs crossed and her meager clothes abandoned so that she may commune with the spirits of nature.

Merril has already lost a child to the wild, so even with her fervent prayers the wilds are still something to be feared and respected. The death of her son has reminded her of this, and she remains true to her path despite the sorrow life has brought her.

Personality: Kind, if not a little tough on others. Merril is a firm believer in giving others a hard time if they are doing something she thinks is wrong, for their own sake. She is gentle towards children and the very young and respectful towards her mother and the elderly. Otherwise she can be like fire, untended might cause some serious burns.

Background: Yuron was born into a family of warriors, just as the Reshe family was a clan of Knights. The sister to many, many brothers, Yuron was expected to stay quiet, learn how to take care of men, and be a housewife to some noble lord. She originates from Jesu, which has a much stricter view of how women are portrayed and accepted than in the capital. The great distance between the two cities solidifies these beliefs as separate, and Yuron was trapped in her family's rhetoric. She decided to leave.

Yuron disguised herself as a man and joined the royal army, showing little promise when she started her training and often being too afraid of being caught than working on her form. Eventually she was caught. Her paranoia got the best of her and she let everything about her past spill in front of the Knight-Commander, Cetri Reshe. Instead of being executed like she should have been for impersonating a man and disobeying her family's traditions, Cetri allowed the woman to continue serving under the crown as a man. Even to this day, Yuron dresses as a man would, even though she has recently achieved Knighthood. She does not fear discovery any longer, but sometimes has trouble talking with women, who can easily figure her ploy out as Cetri did.

Personality: Unwavering bravery and a mostly positive attitude, Yuron keeps her female body hidden beneath a mask of armor and person. Her attempts at aggressiveness usually fail, so she sticks with stubbornness, becoming unrelenting in both her attitude and fighting style. She becomes weaker when near women, due to an old fear of being discovered, but it does not inhibit her ability to fight. Only her ability to talk.

Remus Varshtig

Background: Remus was born twenty-two summers before the current timeline, though his body seemingly stopped aging around the young age of 16. The entirety of the Varshtig clan of which he was born is of similar circumstance, and all of them have the same color eye. The Violet Eye is their family insignia and represents their brand of magic and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and progress. Each Varshtig is known throughout the kingdom as being some of the most important characters for magical prowess. Their potential is high, and their ability to study raw magic at its source is unparalleled.

Remus himself is an avid hunter of the world's history and the magic that encompasses the continent. He has traveled to many places to see the raw magic for his own eyes, to study it, and to write his findings down in tomes. All magical artifacts and tomes that he finds he will give to the Historium in Jesu City in exchange for an agreement that he is allowed to peruse the Grand Library. Sometimes Remus goes beyond what he is allowed, and that sometimes gets him into trouble with the Historium and his family. But it is all for the sake of the continent, for the people.

Personality: Remus is more than just confident in his abilities. He is warm and pleasant to talk to and, should the listener not beware, will take it upon himself to give lectures about magic and its varied uses. Remus is not one to back down from another person who is larger than himself, most people are. But should he come across hostility and cannot talk the person down, he will have no trouble unleashing his powerful magic upon them. Remus is enthusiastic about his work and will go to great lengths in order to complete his research, oftentimes crossing boundaries that perhaps he should not.
