Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"Oh gross," Ryas gagged, grimacing at the thought of all their new items coming from inside the cat. "No offense, you're cool and all, but I'm not really interested in wearing or consuming your vomit." Tenkai coughed lightly, hiding her laugh at the comment. Especially since four of their party members had either just worn the new equipment or run off to wear said equipment. Ryas then looked down at the nice chess piece doll she had been interested in. "Oh right. I don't really wear armor."
"Lucky you, Ryas," Tenkai said dryly before picking up the paw claws and the hideous thing that had nearly destroyed Ryas' eyes. Ryas quickly looked away, squeezing her eyes shut in case the assassin decided to stuff it into her face. Tenkai laughed. "Oh Ryas, there is no need to be so concerned. I am off to change. Unless you would like me to strip here?" Her single visible eye glittered in anticipation. It was clear she had no qualms in doing so.
"Oh god, no," Ryas jerked in disgust before flailing her arms at the other. "Shoo, go away. I'll just pay for all your crap. Just, don't strip, your body is worse than your mouth." The Witch shuddered, eyes still closed, and clutched her head. "EW. Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew! I need to wash my brain out now, damn it! Where's the bleach when you need it?!" The Witch made a sound like a scream except it was muffled and Tenkai laughed again.
Turning away from the now traumatized woman, the assassin began to make her way toward an empty place to change. "Do try and stay out of trouble, Ryas," she purred, sending one last look at the Witch before disappearing from sight. Not even dust was left in her wake. Ryas cautiously opened one eye and released a breath of relief when she realized the current bane of her existence was gone. Letting her hands drop to her sides, the Witch gritted her teeth and turned back to the cat's wares.
"I still can't believe I got stuck with HER of all people," she grumbled, picking up the chess piece and fan she had been eying before. "I guess I'll be taking these then."
Lucid Marble, Cheshire Special, Chess Piece and In Plain Sight has been bought! 910 Gold Used.
As she literally threw the currency at the cat, Ryas began to check through their inventory and felt her face drop. They had so much shit, it was a wonder they were even able to carry it all around. Releasing a frustrated sigh, the woman began to pick out certain items and throw them in front of the cat.
"I don't know about you guys but I have no intention of carrying all the crapshit around," the Witch growled, unable to bring herself to care about the opinions of her companions. "Holy shit, we have a lot of crap. Why do we even keep these?"
Twilight Claws, Elegant Cloth, Leather Apparel, Refurbished Organ, White Dress, Rose Passion, Floral Fans, Bright Day, Ancient Fan, Clay Doll, Dread Claws, and Dark Clothing are sold.
"Sorry but I'm switching you out," the Witch poked at the Clay Doll on her head, the doll having been sitting there since they entered the Hall. It leaped from her head and onto the floor, turning around and saluting her. It then stiffened and fell to the floor with a light thud. Ryas rolled her eyes and then glanced over at the chess piece. The pawn shuddered before coming to life, floating up its place to land on her shoulder. It brandished its shield wildly for a moment, until the Witch flicked it. The piece calmed down after that.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Chris had taken off when Trinity had, headed for the wing that contained their rooms. She had not slept while they were in Alidaire and while it did not show itself physically, she was tired. She hastily entered the one of the rooms and fell to the bed like a rock. Though sleep did not come for her, she just laid there with a sigh; Even if she would not get to sleep, just laying down was relaxing.
"I wonder where Alice is..." Clara thought as she began to mindlessly make her way out of the main entrance. The girl deemed 'Champion' had not left her mind; Clara was still worried. She did not know how to fight after all, and the Pianist was unsure as to how the idea would be taken. Alice did not seem like one to complain, but with how dangerous the task was, one would expect at least some argument.
As she quietly made her way through the castle though, her thoughts were quick to fade. As soon as she had noticed the room she had entered, she went completely silent. Twas a beautiful white room with ornate glass art letting in colored rays of light. However, what caught the Pianist's eye was a full grand piano, shining with a certain light. Pristine in condition, it seemed to have been brand new, though it did not feel so.
It was at that point that she noticed that she was not alone. Poised over the instrument was a woman, much like herself. She did not stop playing as Clara drifted over to her, listening to the powerful tune that had begun to echo once the woman had been found. Clara found herself swaying until the woman stopped abruptly, looking over at the Pianist.
"You can play too?" The woman asked with a voice as smooth as silk. Clara nodded in response, a humble smile on her face. With reaction taken in the woman stood and gently moved Clara to the piano. "Play."
Clara, not being one to argue, set her hands in position and began to dance across the keys. The woman swayed slightly before growing bored of the constant melody and set her hand on one of Clara's shoulders. "You have talent, but it is being squandered."
"What do you mean?" Clara asked, removing her hands from the piano to look up at the woman.
"There is no spark; You have yet to create your own masterpieces."
"I-"
"Worry not, they shall come. However, in the meantime, play what you heard." the woman said plainly as she awaited Clara's playing.
Clara opened her mouth to say something in response, but no words came out. Instead she complied with the woman's wish, setting her hands upon the keys. With nothing to go off of but the little bit she had listened to earlier, Clara hesitated. But when she finally started going, the song spilled out of her; fingers moving eloquently from chord to chord. When the song was reaching its final moments, Clara looked over to where the woman had been, but she vanished.
Curious.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Having reached one of the rooms picked out for them that she was to claim as her own, she removed the red dress King Mickey had given her and donned her new one. It fit very well and she moved over to a full body mirror in the corner of the room to look at herself. "This isn't half bad." She turned around in time to see her old dress fade into mist almost like Cheshire often did. Not knowing what it meant, Trinity sighed wearily. She didn't have the energy to go and investigate, so she just let things be for the time. She thought about her home world. Was it still being ravaged by Heartless? Had King Mickey found what he was looking for? She shook her head clear of the thoughts; Alidaire was in capable hands. It was her turn to help other worlds out of their own plights.
Trinity left the mirror and her room altogether in favor of wandering the castle. It was quite beautiful on the inside, just like the main entrance had been. She didn't mind the grayscale and white; in this land, it was almost sort of peaceful rather than monotonous. As she marveled at the wonders of the castle, she heard a strange song permeating the air. It was piano music. Following the sound to its source, she discovered a beautiful room. Sitting at a wondrous piano inside the room was Clara. She seemed to be playing the song. As Trinity stepped foot inside, the song ended and she frowned. It was sort of a relief; she hadn't wanted to disturb Clara while she was playing. Smiling gently now, she paced across the white floor and stopped behind Clara, placing her hands on the girl's shoulders.
"That was a pretty catchy song you were playing," she said lightheartedly, releasing the girl and backing away a bit. "Did you come up with that yourself or was it something you had already learned?"

White Queen's Castle, Audience Chamer...
At the core of the castle was the audience chamber, a grandiose room with plenty of space. Elegant white columns reached high eventually meeting the top of the vaulted ceiling carved with intricate patterns. Between the columns was a long white path edged with gold leading up to the White Queen's throne upon which she sat now, looking at Alice standing before her with her gentle expression.
"I remember it now," Alice said suddenly. The quiet in the room before had been stifling. "This isn't a dream. This is real. All of it." She seemed quite distraught now. "But if that's true, then you're really all in really real danger...and...it's up to me to stop it...."
The White Queen gave the girl a reassuring smile. "Yes, Alice. You are the champion that was mentioned--the one that would slay the Jabberwocky on the Frabjous Day putting an end to the rule of my sister." She stood up from her throne and walked down the small steps to stand before Alice. "I will tell you one thing, Alice. At the present moment, I do not think you have what it takes to slay the Jabberwocky. You're...missing something. I don't have a term for it, but I do know a fellow who could probably come up with something...," she explained, her voice becoming sad at the end.
"Where is that fellow? I want to know what I'm missing. I want to help you all!" The look in her eyes was one of desperation. In the beginning, she merely found a pool of curiosity towards this dream world, but upon finding out it was real, how could she stand back and let them suffer?
"He's been taken in by the Red Queen, probably locked away in her castle, though knowing that fellow, he's pulled the wool over everyone's eyes," she told the girl and laughed. She tilted her head as she watched Alice turn around to leave. "My dear Alice. Where are you going?"
Alice broke off into a sprint. "I'm going to get those who have been captured out of the Red Queen's Castle! I'm going to find what I'm missing!" she called back to the White Queen before disappearing into the hall outside the chamber, making her way through the castle and towards a side exit as to not attract attention from the others.
The White Queen placed a dainty hand over her heart. "Oh, Alice. I do believe you've already found it."

Kazega had paced away from the others and Cheshire, marching towards the stairs, but paused for a moment. Shaking her head, she continued up the stairs towards the second floor of the west wing, but didn't stop on that floor. She continued to ascend the stairs until there were no more stairs to ascend. It was the fourth floor of the castle, and she walked along the hall until she saw another spiral staircase heading upwards. Ascending the stairs briskly, she came upon a door. Testing the handle, she realized it was unlocked and opened it. Upon doing so, she realized she had made it to the top of one of the towers of the castle. She now stood upon a balcony overlooking the entrance pathway and the lands beyond the castle itself. The wind caressed her gently, and her form was lost for a mere moment--she had become as wind itself. When she reformed, she was wearing her new kimono and smiled. She left the door open and just continued to look out across the area, thinking...

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Clara tensed slightly upon feeling Trinity's hands on her shoulders, but relaxed upon seeing the Keyblade Knight. It was not the strange woman pulling a Chesire. "No; I'm afraid that it's not mine, though I wish it was..." the Pianist's voice drifted off as she looked around. The woman was no where to be found, an abnormality indeed. People did not just disappear into thin air after all. Her eyes settled back on her friend and she smiled, opening her mouth to speak once more. "I could play it again if you'd like."
Meanwhile, Chris had been able to fall into dream; Her eyes closed peacefully, her chest rising to a steady beat. It was a pleasant dream. She stood back in her home world, surrounded by the wildflowers that grew like weeds in her town. A beautiful sunset slipping between the mountains far off in the distance; A content sigh escaped her lips, both tangible and fantasy.
She fell back into the flowers, only to have her head touch some of the grasses before it happened. An unforeseen force pulled her back to her feet and her eyes widened, a sharp breath passing through her living form. There he was, off in the distance, a mere silhouette she could barely see. Chris' legs picked up pace instantly, but as she got closer he kept getting farther and farther.
"Chris!" she screamed as she began to become desperate. He kept moving no matter how fast she ran; A cold sweat built on her forehead. He did not respond to her calling, only continued to drift farther and farther. He kept going until he was a mere spec in the distance, Chris fell to the ground defeated and sobbing. He was gone.
"Looking for someone?"
Her heart skipped a beat as his voice rang out behind her, she quickly turned. There he stood, as he had the last time she saw him, a smirk on his face. Her hand clenched into fists as she stood, he raised his hands in defense. "Woah, girl. Chill." he spoke calmly as if he had not been drifting away from her.
"Chill? Are you fucking kidding me, Chris? You just-"
"I know; But still, chill. Your blood pressure is just as bad as that Witch friend of yours, Tiana."
"How do you-"
"I suggest you take a different tone of voice."
Her fists clenched harder, but suddenly let go with a sigh. Chris, apparently Tiana, submitted to his demand. "Where have you been?"
"Wish I could tell you. Fantastically horrible place it is." He said it so plainly, as if it did not bother him at all that she had been going crazy looking for him. As if being wherever he was was not so bad.
"How can I find you then?"
". . . You can't."
Her fists clenched at that moment, tears that had since then dried resurfaced. She did not understand, how could she not help him? That is what she had been trying to do this entire time. For him to say she could not get to him and bring him home was not something she could comprehend. However, before she could voice any complaint, he looked up to the sky with a small frown. "Dear... it seems I don't have much longer. I'm sorry Tiana, I would like to stay but I'm afraid I have to go."
"Wha-"
"Stay strong Tiana, maybe you'll find me one day." Upon saying that he, along with the rest of the dream began to fade. Chris, suddenly able to move, ran over to him, only to pass right through him.
"No!" But it was too late, he was already gone.
She woke up crying only a few seconds later.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
She should have known.
Somewhat irritated by the fact she was the only one of their group left in the hall, Ryas sighed and rolled her eyes. She couldn't believe she had been the one left to sell things like some sort of shop attendant or errand girl. Well, didn't this suck balls.
"Well, I'm off to bed," the Witch grumbled to no one in particular. "see you later, cat." She sent the Cheshire Cat a curt wave before making her way out the hall. If she remembered correctly, the damn Queen had said something about their rooms being in the East Wing, second floor or something. Ryas mentally groaned. If she got lost in this damn place, she was going to seriously break something.
She fucking hated palaces so damn much.
Well, that was quite boring. Tenkai chuckled under her breath, watching from the shadows as the Witch stomped her way over to the stairs that would lead her to the next floor. The assassin had expected the woman to throw a tantrum but it seemed it was not to be. She sighed but decided to follow the woman up the stairs, just to make sure the Witch wouldn't get lost. If Ryas was any more sleep deprived than she already was, they would have a bit of a problem on their hands.
Still, it had been a while since she had last done this. Tenkai wondered for a brief moment if, maybe, she had gotten rusty. Well, there was only one way to find out.
Eye flashing, she was suddenly dashing up the walls, keeping to the shadows so as not to be seen. At some points, the assassin was too fast and had to stop somewhere on the ceiling so as not to overtake Ryas. The brunette was much too slow for her own good. By the time she reached the top of the staircase, Tenkai had busied herself by running over the walls. It was always good to get some practice in.
As the Witch turned to where she thought their quarters were, Tenkai smirked and decided to drop in on the woman.
"Are you, perhaps, lost?" she asked smoothly, right by the Witch's ear. The assassin felt a laugh bubble up in her chest when the brunette screamed and danced away from her. She would never tire of the other's antics. "Our rooms are in the other direction, the West Wing. I do believe you are headed toward the East." A chess piece suddenly flew in her face, trying to intimidate her with its small shield. Tenkai waved it away. It seemed the Witch found a new doll to play with.
"I knew that!" Ryas snapped, clutching her chest as she tried to calm her rapidly beating heart. "God damn it, I should have known you would do something like that! Nearly gave me a fucking heart attack!" God, she hated it when the assassin caught her unawares. Taking a deep breath, she sent the woman a vicious glare before stomping back in the direction of the West Wing, roughly brushing past the assassin. "Go fuck with someone else's head, fucker!"
Tenkai watched in amusement as the Witch disappeared down the hall and then shrugged. That was a rather entertaining thought. Maybe she would do just that, she had the woman's permission after all. But who to play with, was the question. Smirking under her mask, the assassin began to sniff out the potentials. All members of their group released a unique scent that she had been sure to memorize. She still hadn't gotten a hold of the new ones, however, she could distinctly sense little Alice wandering the castle. Strange, had her talk with the White Queen ended so quickly.
A pity, really, she had been somewhat interested in what they were talking about. Another time, perhaps. For now, Tenkai would let the child be. It would be interesting, to see the results of her endeavors. Chuckling darkly, she returned to sniffing out the positions of the rest of their group. It seemed Trinity and Clara were in the same room together, no doubt conversing. Kazega seemed to be along atop one of the towers. Chris was in one of their prepared rooms, the smell of tears and distress clear in the air. The assassin slowly turned her head in the direction of the West Wing, anticipation fluttering in her chest.
What nightmares had the telekinetic dreamed to bring her into such a state? What sort of sweet pain could she wrought from the girl if she were to dig deeply now, into the bleeding scar that had been ripped open with this terror that had frightened her? Would the girl give her the satisfaction of tasting her fear, pure and undiluted, a delicacy for one such as her? To lick those salt tears from her delicate face, filled with the bitterness of failure and despair? Oh, Tenkai shivered, wrapping her arms around her body as a soft moan emitted from her, her eye misted over as the thoughts of what she could do invaded her mind. The ecstasy she would feel, to have such a pleasure.
Oh yes, that was what she would do. Dark, sensual laughter began to emit from her diseased lips, muffled slightly by her mask, the mist disappearing from her eye. Dropping her arms from her being, Tenkai leisurely began to make her way over to where she knew the telekinetic to be. Step by step, the sounds of her heels hitting the white floor echoing almost ominously through the empty halls, she made her way closer until finally, she reached it. Placing a hand on the doorframe, she pulled herself forward, eye half lidded as she took in the telekinetic's distraught state.
"Now, what do we have here," her voice purred, the sound breathy and filled with dark intent. Tenkai released the frame, only to cross her arms under her breasts and lean against it. "A nightmare, perhaps?"

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"Certainly. I'd love to hear it again. Something about it seems....," her voice trailed off as she took a seat on the floor next to the bench Clara was sitting on. The word would not come to her for some reason. For a few moments, she remained quiet, her mind completely addled until a smile reclaimed its spot upon her face and she nodded. "Fitting. That's what I would call it. It's almost like a song that belongs to this world. Do you understand?" she asked the young pianist thoughtfully. The peace within this room was so amplified; Trinity could hardly imagine what the whole of this world used to be. It'll take a lot to get it back to the way it was. I wonder if we'll get a chance to come back when that's accomplished... she thought. This was her first time in another world. She knew not the rules of traveling between them. She knew not if the influences she had on the people here and the influences they had on her were even significant. Allowed? Worth it? As she thought, she kept her ears open for the sounds of Clara's playing.
Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Chris' entire figure tensed up and froze in that position as Tenkai's voice drifted into the room. She had not expected someone to come and check on her, it did not seem like something the members of her party would do; at least... for the most part. Quickly rubbing her wet eyes with her right arm, she looked up and did her best to make it seem like she had not just been crying. "N-not at all. Just... got something in my eyes."
To go along with this, she blinked several times and rubbed them a little more. She nodded mentally, this was the right thing to do; twas was bad enough that it had happened, best not to let it become public domain. She did not particularly trust anyone in the group enough to let them in on her secret. Not to mention what they might say if they ever found out, Tenkai especially; going off of how she acted with Ryas, there was no telling what the Assassin might do with that piece of information. "Did... did you need something?"

Clara was happy to oblige and started to play again, only to lower the volume dramatically as Trinity continued to speak. Her fingers continued to press the same chords lightly as she listened to her friend, and nodded in response to her question. "It does. I guess that woman..." her voice trailed off as Trinity's had. The Pianist looked around, as if expecting to see the woman appear once again in her perplexing aura. But when none came, Clara merely shook her head slightly and began to pick up playing once again.

"Finally!" Ryas breathed as she allowed herself to fall face flat onto the nice fluffy bed that had been prepared. She ignored the still open door, instead breathing in the fresh smell of cleanly washed sheets and relaxed into the comforter. "Feels like fucking forever since I last got into a decent bed." She grimaced as she remembered the inn on Alidaire. Sure it had a nice bed but even if she had slept, it probably would have lasted only three minutes before the giant armored dude attacked.
She growled lowly into the sheets, waving a hand as if blowing away those thoughts. Ryas really didn't want to deal with remembering every little thing that had happened on their journey here because that would only serve to keep her awake for the next millennium or something. Right now, she wanted sleep and she was going to get sleep. Pulling herself up, she lay down on the mattress, ignoring the comforter it wasn't even that cold, and closed her eyes. In seconds, she was asleep, lost in the darkness of her mind.
Tenkai almost laughed. Almost. Instead, she smirked, the action hidden behind her mask. This girl was a joke. Who did she think she was kidding? It was so clear she had just had a nightmare, there was really no point in trying to play it off as something else. Oh, but she supposed that's what made it fun. It wouldn't be a game if the other person didn't resist a little, after all. Tenkai wanted the satisfaction of toying with her prey before digging into her meal.
Pushing off the doorframe, she began to leisurely stride over to the bed. "Oh? Really now?" she breathed as she neared the girl. Once the assassin reached the bed, she smoothly took a seat on the comfortable mattress, leaning her face in close to the telekinetic's face. "Why, you seem to have bags under your bloodshot eyes, my dear. Are you quite sure you're alright? Hmm?" Eye half-lidded now, hiding the devious glint in her single crimson red eye, the assassin reluctantly pulled away.
"It's no good if you keep it all to yourself," Tenkai continued, her voice like sweet honey as she spoke. It coaxed at the girl to reveal her secrets, a tantalizing darkness curling around her words. "Nightmares are quite horrid because they come from your deepest, innermost fears. Talking about it always makes people feel better." She pressed a hand against the sheets, leaning on it. "Come now, I only wish to help." With a other hand, she sensually brought it up, the motion slow and deliberate, and used a single finger to tilt the girl's chin up. "Was it about something you hold dear? Or, perhaps. . . ."
Tenkai allowed her sentence to trail, gazing into the telekinetic's eyes as she searched for it. She barely stopped the smirk that threatened to split her face. "Or, perhaps, someone?" she breathed the last word, placing special emphasis on it as she remembered the Cheshire's words during their previous battle. She always paid attention to what was being said, especially if it were to benefit her in some way.
"Someone close to your heart. So close, you would do anything for that person. You would search for them until you could search no more and yet, still, you would search. Anything to touch, to feel, to make certain that person is there, their warmth pressed to your side." Tenkai removed her hand on the bed, bringing it up and curling it around the telekinetic's waist. "Just. Like. This." She pulled the girl flush against her body now, somehow gazing into both her eyes despite only having one. "The love you feel for the person, the need to know they're there, the want you have for their presence, the fear you feel for their safety. Now then." The assassin brought her head down, mask centimeters away from the telekinetic's lips. "Shall I take a guess as to who it is?" Closer now. "Maybe it's. . . ."
Tenkai pressed her mouth against the girl's, mouthing the words onto her lips.
'Your brother?'

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Chris tried to look away as Tenkai came closer, but the woman's advances were hard to avoid. Reluctantly she let the Assassin have her way, the Telekinetic's jaw locked tightly together. She tensed up as the woman moved her head, and froze as she was grabbed. As her so called 'friend' continued on, Chris wished nothing more than to escape this moment. And then it finally hit her, with the woman's last two words.
Chris' eyes widened, unable to hold back the shock and pain that was quick to appear. Her face contorted with such horror, and she faltered in shaking her head. She had heard correctly, that much was for sure. Unable to turn away, more tears began to pool in her bloodshot eyes; a sob caught in the Telekinetic's throat. Only one thought came to mind as she tried to break away from the Assassin's aura. "How does she know?"
"Tiana," a sudden voice rang out in her mind, and for but a moment the other woman's hold was broken. Without moving her head or eyes, Chris searched wildly with both her peripherals and mind. "don't cry." he was no where to be found; the tears that had been welling in her eyes began to spill over.
"It's just what she wants." his voice rang out in another direction, Chris' focus drew past Tenkai. Just behind the 'goodhearted' Assassin, a shadowy figure stood. Echoes of her brother's voice rang out in her mind, seemingly from the figure. Chris remained frozen, staring at the figure now, watching it as it slowly moved over to the other side of the bed. A single palm rested on her cheek and her eyes darted over in its direction.
"Don't let her have it." the voice rang out one final time before the figure dissipated into nothingness. Chris blinked in confusion, more tears spilling over at once. She shook her head in response, eyes returning to face the rather malicious Assassin. Her gaze hardened and Chris pulled away, wiping her eyes with her hands once more. Once dry, a light warning glare was shot at the Assassin.
"I'd prefer not to talk about it." Chris spoke a little too powerfully. She knew that a confrontation with the Assassin would not be good, but she had to remain in power in this situation. As easy as it would be for her to just submit to whatever the Assassin wanted, she needed to remain strong. If not for her own security and stability, but because he told her to. It was his voice; his advice.
If anything, she would follow that.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Tenkai wasn't blind. Her eye had been watching for any sign of surrender. When the telekinetic's eyes lit up with a determined fire, she knew she had not won. The assassin did, however, notice how those eyes, those pale lilac eyes, shifted. They had stared at something past her without actually moving, their focus not misty but clear. Did this child really think she would not notice? The eyes were doors to the heart and mind. It was truly unfortunate, however.
She had been so close. So, very close. But, Tenkai was satisfied. She had caused the girl pain and it was enough. For now. Still, she was rather disappointed. She had expected the girl to, at least, blast her back with a psychic wave. It was a tad bit boring. Tenkai had a feeling she wasn't going to play with this girl for a long time.
"I see," the assassin hummed, pulling away completely. She elegantly rose to her feet, arms crossing under her breasts. "However, if you are truly fine with me leaving. . . . ." Her eye scanned the room without moving. There was no one there. Odd but it made sense. "I shall go."
Allowing her arms to drop, Tenkai began to make her way over the door. She paused, however, right before it and turned her head.
"Let me give you some advice," the woman began, bringing a single finger to where her lips were under her mask. "You should be careful not to listen to the voices in your head. You never know whether they're real or not." Her eye gleamed. "Because they usually aren't." Chuckling under her breath, she disappeared out of the room, assimilating with the shadows as she walked. It was time to look for some more fun.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Trinity had just decided to close her eyes and become lost in the music, but the thoughts kept coming back to her. She wondered if anyone else had an opinion on it. "Clara, are you going to miss this world when we have to leave it?" she asked suddenly, playing with one of the violet bows on her new fanciful dress. She rather liked it. It would be a souvenir from this world, along with the keyblade. All the thoughts about rules and such...they bothered her. She sort of wished that Donald and Goofy had given them stricter guidelines. Now they were forced to follow their hearts...
Which might be for the best after all, she said, though her expression remained the same as she fiddled with the same bow, awaiting Clara's response.
Up above at the top of the tower, Kazega continued to stare off into space. It was...difficult. "So much do I desire for the memories of the past, but the new ones I have made...they are worth so much more to me," the woman spoke aloud to herself allowing a gentle breeze to caress her soft skin. "I must make more. This new life of mine... Dwelling upon the past never got anyone anywhere. This should be especially true for a past that isn't even there." She felt her hands grip the stone railing and with a quick movement, she raised herself up and over so that she could sit upon it. She felt the winds even more at this point, and if she fell, she could just fly way in the arms of the gentle gale. "So beautiful..." she marveled at the entrance path with the trees with the light pink leaves.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Clara finished up the last bit of the tune before, her lips pursed as she moved her hands from the keys. Would she miss this world and everything they experienced thus far? Was she morally allowed to hold onto her memories and want to keep them? Like Trinity she also did not know about the rules of traveling between the worlds, so she was unsure. But she did nod in response to Trinity's question. "I will miss Wonderland... even if we're not allowed to. It's not like we could forget what has gone on and what will go on, right?"
Chris steadied herself back on the bed, as the assassin left. Though her advice was probably good to follow for some, it would not be the case with herself. If her dream and vision were any indication, it definitely was not just in the Telekinetic's head. Of course, it could be wrong... she would just have to wait and see. ". . . Chris..."

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Trinity and Clara were still together. How unfortunate. It was always easier when they were alone. She would have to try them later, if they had time. It was a good thing for her that Ryas was sound asleep, it allowed her to do as she pleased. Tenkai drifted along the shadows of the corridors, passing by the room the previously mentioned members were currently occupying and continued to make her way towards the tower Kazega was at the top of. The wind maiden was alone, making it easier for Tenkai. It meant one-on-one interaction between the two of them with little possibility of interruption.
Reaching the doorway, she was just in time to see the woman hop over the railing and sit on top. Tenkai smirked, a mischievous gleam in her eye. One push was all it would take to send the woman flying off the tower and into the ground below. Now wasn't that an interesting idea. Stepping forward without a sound, the assassin closed the distance between her and the wind maiden until she stopped right behind the sitting woman. Raising her hands, she reached toward the woman's back, her crimson iris darkening into a deep shade of red.
Her hands paused, however, just before they made contact with the other woman's back. They hovered before redirecting themselves to take a hold of the wind maiden's shoulders. Tenkai then leaned forward until her masked face was by Kazega's left ear.
"Careful," she warned, laughter in her voice. "You might fall."

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"Mhm, that's exactly right. It's not like we could just forget. Wonderland will always be in my heart. Seems like a philosophy His Majesty would take," she replied whimsically with a gentle smile, standing up and turning to face the exit. "I'm feeling a bit restless now; I think I'll walk a little more before getting some rest. Thanks for playing that song for me again, Clara," she said, stretching out her arms while starting to walk forwards. Having free time was something Trinity used to be able to enjoy, but now, in a world on the brink of disaster, she found it rather difficult to relax. She just had to trust the White Queen and apparently Alice for now.

Kazega leaned back a bit allowing her head to rest against the upper part of Tenkai's chest and she smiled. She thought the normal reaction would be to be startled, but she wasn't for some reason...and she couldn't understand. Regardless, she was happy to have some company. Having no memories, she didn't exactly have much to dwell over except for the group's journey so far. The maiden kept her eyes peeled, gazing out over the side of the tower. "If I were to fall, the winds would catch me and assure my safe descent," she stated matter-of-factly with a soft laugh. "It's why I can be so unafraid up here, or any really high place for that matter. The act of falling from so far up is liberating; I would say to try it yourself sometime, but only those gifted with the power of wind could go through the act safely. Or other powers, I suppose," she added, letting her imagination whir a bit before cooling it down.
"What brings you up here, anyway? I'm surprised anyone else found this place," Kazega inquired of the assassin, keeping her head against Tenkai's body. "For someone such as yourself, I imagine you aren't here for the mere sight? Or perhaps I could be wrong..." she let her voice trail off.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Though Tenkai was slightly surprised by the wind maiden's action, she did not show it. Instead, a light smirk crossed her face, hidden from sight and she moved her hands from Kazega's shoulders to wrap them loosely around the other. Her hands ended up somewhere around Kazega's stomach and she lightly pressed her palms flat against it. Her eye slid to a mere slit as she listened to the woman speak, a pleased glint in her eyes.
"You could stay I felt like getting a little fresh air," Tenkai purred in a low sultry whisper into Kazega's ear. It was clear there was a second meaning to her words. She lowered her head so it was resting on the wind maiden's left shoulder. "Being in the castle is quite constricting, don't you agree? With all those walls and rooms, it's nice to have a little freedom. The tower seemed like the perfect place for that."
Tenkai knew she would have to tread lightly here. There were too many unknown factors about the woman and she always did like puzzles. Unlike Chris, who had practically spilled her life story to the High Seraph they had met, Kazega gave almost nothing away. All that was known about her was her protectiveness about Trinity and her ability to manipulate the wind. Everything else was only known to her or Trinity. It was time for a little probing.
"I am surprised," Tenkai began, staring out into empty air. She continued to watch Kazega out of the corner of her eye. "I expected you to be near Trinity. You do seem rather protective of her, after all. But, I suppose, one tires of the same person's presence after a while."

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
It was odd. She should have felt unsettled by Tenkai wrapping her arms around her, the assassin's hands gently on her stomach, but she was the one that had been so affectionate in the first place. She decided to just go with it and relax. "For the longest time, I have been with Trinity, and not once have we been apart...save for that trouble in the Dragonscar Passageway," she replied, her voice soft as the breeze that was blowing. "It was my assumption that she could probably use some space. I could never grow tired of her; she means a lot to me...for reasons I do not even know." She paused and just the let the silence settle for a few moments, breathing deeply. She felt comfortable. Oddly so.
"To grow tired of someone....it sounds pointless," she spoke up after a few minutes. "You make an effort to know someone, to be their friend. You are there for them through good times and bad. You forge many memories...connections with them..." Her voice had wavered at the sound of her saying memories. "To just grow tired of that person whom you put so much effort towards to know, to befriend, to love." She allowed herself a thoughtful smile. "It's pointless." There was no question that she wasn't tired of Trinity, just as she was not tired of anyone else. In the end, she wanted to save the universe from the threat of the darkness with her friends and allies, and not much more than that.
"Do you not grow tired of Ryas sometimes?" she reflected the question back to the assassin after giving her response. "From what I have witnessed, she can be a handful, not that I have any problems with her. From another perspective, however, I could understand."

Clara nodded at her friend and continued to play the tune the woman had taught her, looping it over and over again. It was only after what seemed like forever of playing that she finally stopped, popped her knuckles, and stood to leave. Just as she made her way to the door, she turned back to look at the marvelous white grand piano and smiled. Maybe she could play it again before they left Wonderland...
Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"Ah, but people can very quite fickle sometimes," Tenkai hummed, a toneless noise under her words that seemed to buzz for a moment longer, even after her sentence had finished. Her eye flickered out, toward the sky, before returning to gazing down at the wind user with an unreadable stare. "Ryas is a rather difficult matter. We have no choice but to interact with each other, given what we are." She tapped a finger lightly against Kazega's chest. "But that is a story for another time. Ryas would be furious if I let anything slip."
With a small smirk hidden under her mask, she pressed the same finger that had tapped Kazega's to her covered lips, as if requesting this matter be kept quiet from the witch. In all honesty, she didn't really mind if the witch knew but she could get so huffy sometimes and they didn't need one of their best spellcasters boycotting. Tenkai mentally laughed at the thought of the witch standing back and doing nothing. Why she even thought the woman would do such a thing was beyond her. Maybe this group was affecting her more than she thought. To actually feel worry for something, how funny.
"I am most curious, to be honest," the assassin began, lowering her hand back to its place around the wind user. "How did you and Trinity meet? It doesn't seem like you two have known each other all your lives. Did something happen which caused you to feel so protective over her? And what of your past? Why did you start to journey with our dear Keyblade wielder?"

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Kazega lifted a hand to her mouth and giggled a bit at Tenkai's antics. She could imagine herself quite well how Ryas would get. "Consider my lips sealed. All will be all right. I understand," the wind maiden replied. She listened sincerely to Tenkai's line of curious questions, and looked up at the blue sky above the castle as she thought about them. They weren't very difficult; she knew most of them instantly. But it was those questions that made her think about her missing past. Where had she come from? Who was she really? Those were questions she was afraid she'd never be able to answer. As if in response to the sadness settling in her soul, the breeze stirred just so gently and Kazega sighed in content.
"The first time I met Trinity was the night she fell from her bedroom window the night she received the keyblade. She had been unconscious for a while; I was apprehensive to approach her, but when she became surrounded by Heartless, I had to go and help her. I told her to run, and she did while I fought off the Heartless on my own." Kazega took a moment to think over what she had just said. "I chanced upon her that night in the street...or, at least I'd like to say that. But I felt drawn to her for some reason I cannot explain. I was so lucid back then...empty. I didn't know what I was doing until a while after protecting Trinity from the Heartless outside the city. Thinking back on it, the only reason I can think of is that it would be unjust for her to die at the hands of the Heartless. I despised them. The Heartless made me burn up inside for some reason; they still do. It is true that I care about Trinity for an unknown reason, but it is also true that I hate the Heartless with every fiber of my being...for some unknown reason."
The breeze was still gently caressing Kazega, and Tenkai as well, though she was most likely not thinking much about some random wind. "Those are definitely the reasons why I decided to accompany Trinity: to keep her safe and to spite the Heartless. I'm afraid what lies beyond that is out of my reach..."

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Tenkai was going soft. It was the only explanation. Oh, she had tried to entice the woman to trust, to allow her to delve deep into her heart's core but there was nothing there. It was empty, so much like her own insides. Tenkai couldn't believe it but, for a short sweet moment, she imagined this was what peace was like. To be able to be beside someone who could maybe understand. . . .
No, Tenkai mentally shook her head. It couldn't be. It was just her imagination. It did tend to run wild on her a lot. Silently listening to the wind maiden speak, the assassin smirked.
"Why, that almost sounds like a love confession," she purred in teasing amusement, the dark scheming gleam gone from her eye. "Could it be you fell in love with her at first sight?" She laughed, almost giggling, and pulled away, rising so she stood straight and had her hands on Kazega's shoulders. "It seems we happened upon your elopement when we first met. I'll have to apologize for that." The light-hearted tone in her voice made it clear she was only joking.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Kazega nearly cringed at the prospect, but realized Tenkai was merely joking and took a deep breath. "It is not that kind of love that I feel for Trinity, even still," she felt the necessity to explain, regardless of the assassin not being serious. "I want to protect her the same as I wish to protect the rest of you." She touched Tenkai's hands tenderly before lifting them off her shoulders and swinging her legs over the railing so that she could stand on the balcony of the tower. Still holding Tenkai's hands, she looked into the assassins eye with a sly smile. "Granted that most of you are quite adept at protecting yourself. In that way, we can all depend on each other. That's what makes us work so effortlessly together in battles." Letting go of Tenkai at last, Kazega walked over to the doorway leading to the stairs.
"I am afraid I've grown a bit hungry. I think I'll head down to see if I can find the kitchen. It was wonderful chatting with you, Tenkai," she said with a smile. Her voice sounded genuinely happy and pleased. She bowed her head slightly before turning around and starting to walk away.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"I wonder where everyone else is..." Clara spoke softly to herself as she wandered about the castle. It was strange, being alone for once; it was a pleasure and supposed comfort she had been deprived of most of her life. Before now, she had only dreams to be alone in, now that she was by herself it was unnerving almost. It was likely because she was not used to being in such a predicament, she did not know how to handle with the strange semi-comfortable silence.
Chris meanwhile, had fallen back into a semi-dream state, almost coma-like but she was fully aware of her surroundings. No visions came to her now, nor was she being interrogated by any of her companions. She was at ease... for the moment. She knew she could not afford to let her guard down; that damn Assassin had gotten too close already. So much closer than she ever wanted someone else other than him to be. If doing this during their downtime was what she had to do to keep her personal life a matter all her own then so be it. If any of them got involved it would only mean trouble; they weren't friends, just a means to get around.
As sad as it was, that's just the way it had to be.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
My, my. Tenkai watched the wind maiden leave with a half-lidded eye. That was more fun than she had expected. For Kazega to openly admit to wishing to protect them all was a rather pleasant surprise. The woman was the second person to say such a thing to her. Tenkai laughed quietly to herself as she remembered the first.
Turning to gaze out over the balcony for a moment longer, the assassin smiled. She then turned and walked through the door, heading back to where Ryas was sleeping. She found she wanted to see the witch's face. She wondered how the woman would react to her waking her up. The thought made her change her smile to a smirk.
Meanwhile, back in Ryas' room, said witch snapped open her eyes and bolted up in her bed. Eyes wide, she jerked her head to scrutinize the room. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, the witch scowled. Why the hell did she suddenly have a feeling of impending doom?

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Kazega had no idea where a kitchen might be in a palace this large, but after a bit of curious wandering, a particular scent caught her nose. It twitched slightly, and she raised her head a bit to catch the scent better. It was definitely food of some sort. The wind maiden blushed as her stomach growled rather loudly, loud enough for the sound to echo off the walls of the empty hall. "Better find it quick," Kazega murmured to herself as she followed the wonderful aroma to the source. It brought her before a large wooden door. In center was a rectangular slot that she could peer through, and so she did. Her eyes took in the scene of a large kitchen. The motif was that of the rest of the castle--a lot of white marble. The appliances looked rather...technological, and they caught Kazega's curiosity. They looked far more advanced than the things found on Alidaire.
The wind maiden gasped as she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Trinity. "Phew...you scared me there..." she said, a bit embarrassed that she let herself get caught by surprise. She was supposed to be a rather skilled fighter. And then she thought about the instance with Tenkai. Maybe it was just because she was in such a relaxed state that she wasn't scared when the assassin snuck up on her.
"I'm sorry, Kazega. I didn't mean to startle you," Trinity apologized quickly, bowing her head while smiling sheepishly. "What are you doing anyway? Spying on the chefs?" Trinity laughed and opened the door. Turned out there was no one in the kitchen...except the White Queen. "Y-Your Majesty?"
The White Queen turned from the stove. She had been stirring something in a pot on the burner with a wooden spoon, but smiled elegantly as she noticed she had company. "Ah, my darling guests. Do come in," she spoke in her normal tone, arms stretched out to each side of her.
Trinity and Kazega walked over to the island counter near the stove. There was a wooden cutting board placed upon it with chopped....vegetables on it? Trinity looked at some of the ingredients questionably before shaking her head to snap herself out of the stupor. There was one question on her mind: if the White Queen was here, where was Alice? And thus she asked.
"Oh, dear. Alice ran so fast I could hardly catch her," the White Queen explained solemnly. "She went to the Red Queen's castle to rescue the Wonderlanders that were caught by my sister."
"But she can't fight!" Trinity shouted suddenly, taking a deep breath and trying to calm herself. She didn't meant to yell at the queen. Knowing her, Alice probably could run faster, but that wasn't the point. "S-sorry. I'm worried about Alice."
The White Queen shook her head and smiled. "Don't be, Trinity. She's found what she needs to take care of herself. Just be patient, and she will return with her friends." The queen's eyes widened for a moment as if she just remembered something. Reaching into the folds of her dress, she produced an envelope and handed it to Trinity. "This arrived at the castle just a tad bit earlier. It was made out to you, so here you go."
Trinity took the envelope. Sure enough, her name was written on the front. She opened it up and took out a letter that read:
Dear Trinity,
I have in my possession something very significant. It is the Vorpal Sword. As you know, without it, there will be no way for the young Alice to slay the Red Queen's Jabberwocky. If you wish to get it back, you will meet me at the Crossroads in the Dead Plains and we shall engage in battle over possession of the sword. This has been a long time coming. Many times have I watched you all in combat, and from my evaluations, I do believe you will not stand a chance against me. With my cards, I shall send your bodies into the depths of darkness. Be prepared.
Sincerely,
Alice, Dealer of the Cards
Trinity grimaced and showed the letter to Kazega. "We have to tell the others."

"Why, good morning Ryas," Tenkai purred as she appeared, leaning against the doorframe to the witch's (temporary) room. Ryas instinctively snapped a glare at the assassin but it quickly disappeared as she returned to what she had been doing just a moment ago. Which was staring at the wall across from her with a frown. The frown was still on her face and Tenkai lifted an eyebrow. "No retort?"
"Something changed," was her reply, the witch's frown turning into a scowl. "I hate change." Tenkai nodded, accepting the answer for what it was. "How long have I been out?"
"An hour, maybe two," the assassin answered, arms crossed under her chest. She eyed the brunette. "I think another nap might do you some good. You're starting to get the color back in your skin." Ryas sent her a look of disgust with an underlying current of uncertainty. The witch wasn't quite sure what to make of the comment but one thing was for sure.
"What's got you in such a good mood?" she inquired, narrowing her eyes. Tenkai shrugged.
"I just got to know our companions a little better, that's all," was her response and a smirk appeared under her mask. Ryas pursed her lips but said nothing and instead, got off the bed. Tenkai watched silently.
"Let's get moving," the witch grumbled, walking past the assassin as she left the room. "I'm starting to hate this place."
"You hate everything, Ryas."
