They don't do alot of damage though, they do 70% Damage and Inflict either Burn/Freeze/Paralyze 75% of the time...

Wait, 75%? >.> I'm pretty sure it's always 50% unless it's against a boss or you have a S-Ability that increases your chances.

That's right. Spells designed to purposefully inflict status effects have 75% chance unless they're advanced like Doom or Petrify.
