~I. Plot~


The World of Neo Parma; once a harsh, sterile and inhabitable planet is found orbiting a perfectly stable sun along with its bright, shining moon named Luna. The relatively quick advances in biotechnology allowed the growth of general fauna, and thus turning a seemingly hopeless abyss into a natural oasis for civilization. Although Neo Parma is an earth-sized planet approximately, many areas remain unexplored. Mostly because of the natural threads known as "Biomonsters", hostile and savage creatures that are carnivorous, lurk almost everywhere, and amazingly adapt to any new surroundings they are placed into. Perhaps, the most known and prized organization in Neo Parma is the "Hunter's Guild", where highly trained "Hunters" as they call themselves, help out by doing numerous deeds which are beneficial in nature, such as exploring new areas for possible colonization, investigate ancient ruins, exterminate Biomonsters, and the list could interminably go on. It's now quite a strange occurrence for a city to not have a Hunter's Guild, since it has now expanded to a point of global knowledge.

The World of Daemos; a mysterious planet with an irreparable hazardous nature, is mainly used for Power Plants, Control Systems and Laboratories that were distributed all over ever since its colonization. Daemos' glowing green acidic substances that conveniently flow out of deep underground as geysers or rivers serve as the primal energy source used for all the facilities constructed, but they're also used for rapid combustion and elimination of unused matter. Yet smaller in size than Neo Parma, but bigger than Luna, Daemos' usefulness hasn't got any possible comparison. Novak City is perhaps the most important place in this vast, lethal wasteland, as it's home of many important Power Plants, the irreplaceable Hazard Control Tower, and most importantly, the Biosystems Laboratory.

Technology isn't what it seems, however. Absolutely everything in the universe of Oblivion Phantasy uses an ethereal, mystical power named Mana, which is found freely floating in the air until a nearby catalyzer absorbs the Mana around it, immediately making it have a predetermined usage, and later vanishes into nothing after being used. Examples about how Mana works might be explained on how a Black Mage is able to cast a Dark Spell, using the nearby Mana as catalyzer to form the pitch-black wave in a matter of seconds. Even a simple Teleporter uses this forced system, constantly using Mana around it to maintain itself operative. The quantity of mana that Neo Parma, Daemos, and even possibly Luna contains is certainly unknown, and has ever since been classified as an unlimted resourse.

The Land of Darmastia; one of the five known continents on Neo Parma, is the starting point of our grand tale that is yet about to start. Our fellow Hunters, who work in the all-famous Hunter's Guild named "Espada Tracendente" in Nazca City had recieved a Request of extreme urgency. They have been toguether ever since their arrival at Espada Tracendente, as the Hunter's Guild training method consisted in assigning groups in order to promote teamwork between them.
They are told that Novak City in Daemos had just been overrun with a horde of brutal Biomonsters and after all citizens were successfully evacuated, the whole city had been quarentined and no one is allowed to enter Novak City until the grotesque monstruosities are gone. With the fact Biomosters avoid at all costs populated areas, the imposing Biosystems Lab seemed very suspicous, thought failure for it was a clear impossibility, since the perfection of its system has avoided errors for its 200 years of costant functionality. Still, the probability is making everybody uneasy. With their very first Request handed to them, our heroes venture into the phantom city, after taking an Hyperdrive Teleporter to Daemos.

Each number is called a Column, and each letter is called a Row. The intersection of a Column and a Row is called a Cell, just like Excel. Players, Enemies, Neutrals, Treasure, etcetera all take a Cell (Unless specified) and fight using the Battlefield, which is 9 Collumns x 9 Rows by default.

Note that Special Attacks are divided in two types: Techniques and Skills. Techniques cost TP, and Skills can only be used a limited amount of times. When using a Technique, is strongly recommended using "[Character] casts [Technique]", and for Skills "[Character] uses [Skill]". Skills are always ATK-Based, and Techniques are always INT-Based. Any other kind of Special Attack is decided by the Player.
Special Cells and other of my additions will be explained in the Tutorial. (Which you pretty much know how it is XD).

Examples of Professions are Warrior, Fighter, Knight, Dragoon, Black Mage, White Mage, Red Mage, Blue Mage, Arcane Mage, Summoner, Numan, CAST, Space Marine, Fussilier, and the list could interminably go on. This determines your Special Attacks (Techniques and Skills), Equipment and Stats. 
[b]Weapon:[/b] Start off with a basic, yet weak Weapon according to what your Character's Profession is. (Knight: Rusty Sword; Black Mage: Cracked Staff)
[b]Armor:[/b] Start off with a basic, yet weak Armor according to what your Character's Profession is. (Knight: Worn Armor; Black Mage: Holey Robes)
[b]Accessory:[/b] Name it anything you would like, and choose what Stat Boost you will get from it. The avaliable Stat Boosts are +5 HP, +5 TP, +1 ATK, +1 DEF, +1 INT or +1 SPR.

[b]A-Ability:[/b] Action Ability. This is the summary of the definition of all your Character's Special Attacks. A Knight will be able to use Force Stab, Swift Slash, etcetera, and so his/her A-Ability will be Sharp Skills or something along those lines. Feel free to be creative.

[b]+[/b] This is your first Special Attack, and is dependent on which Profession your Character is. I need the following fields complete in order for a Special Attack, either be a Skill or Technique, to be complete. "+ Name: Short Description (Optional). Damage% (Up to 120%) Stat (ATK or INT). Effect (Optional). Range; Element. TP/Use."
- Name: First of all, just make up a name for your Special Attack.
- Short Description: You can add a flavour text if you like.
- Damage%: How much Damage the Special Attack does. Keep it up to 120%.
- Stat: Either being ATK or INT. Keep in mind that an ATK-Based Special Attack becomes an Skill, and an INT-Based Special Attack becomes a Technique.
- Effect: You can add an iditional effect to your Special Attack if you like (Poison, Paralyze, etc.)
- Range: The distance (In Cells) of your Special Attack.
- Element: The Element of your Special Attack. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Thunder, Ice, Dark, Holy or Neutral.
- TP/Use: How much TP the Technique will cost, or how many times the Skill can be used. This will get determined by me. Remember, if your Special Attack is powerful, expect a higher TP Cost, or a lesser Use.

[b]+ Name:[/b] Short Description (Optional). Damage% (Up to 120%) Stat (ATK or INT). Effect (Optional). Range; Element. TP/Use.

[b]A-Ability:[/b] A second Action Ability is placed in here. Right now, it's set to "Item" as a default, but when you reach a certain Level, you will be offered a Job Promotion, and thus this field will be used for your next set of Special Attacks.
[b]R-Ability[/b]: Reaction Ability. This is an Ability which activates in response to a certain action. You can't have one for now.
[b]S-Ability:[/b] Support Ability. This is an Ability that is either Active or Passive. An Active S-Ability is always taking effect, and a Passive S-Ability will need to be activated at the user's on will. Passive S-Abilities can only be activated ONCE per Battle.
[b]X-Ability:[/b] X Ability. This is an exceptionally powerful and destructive ability, mainly because it has the power to pierce the enemy’s DEF and SPR. An X-Ability will be able to inflict an immediate Instant Death Status to a non-Boss Character with less than 50% HP. Give your X-Ability a Name and an Element (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Thunder, Ice, Dark, Holy or Neutral). The Formula of calculating Damage through an X-Ability is the following: Base ATK/INT x2 (x1 if it has a Range of "All Cells") = Total Damage. An X-Ability can only be used ONCE per Battle, and will deduct the general Experience Gain slightly. An X-Ability field should look like: "X-Ability: Name: Short Description (Optional). 200% (100% if Range is "All Cells") Piercing ATK/INT Damage. Range: 5 Cells; Element."

Stats are all determined by the GM (Me), so you shouldn't worry about them.

[b]Skill Points:[/b] These are a vital adition to this Statistical Roleplay. Skill Points are awarded at the end of a Battle to every Character, and are used specifically to purchase Abilities. A-Abilities cost 1 SP, S-Abilities cost 2 SP and R-Abilities cost 3 SP. Skill Points can also be used to "Upgrade" existing Special Attacks without altering its predetermined TP/Use.

As the Space Marines open the steel-alloyed quarantine door, which makes a loud metallic echo, the Hunters venture in the vastness of a phantom city. A faint green haze was permeating on ground-level of Novak City, without making the monochrome-clouded sky overshadowed by the toxic fog. Glowing green acidic substances were spilling from the underground canals, making the air stink with the odor of corroded materials. Swift, unrecognizable shadows were seen moving on far end, where the city really started, the buildings were crushed to a point of complete deterioration, like purposely struck by those so-called Biomonsters.
Nika, Alice, Mei and Gethren went forward the passageway, four huge Toxic Ventilation Pipes protruding from the cold floor, emanating a harsh acidic smell. Just halfway through, with quick and unpredictable movements, they were ambushed by...things. From their palpitating, fleshy brown body were born bright blue tentacles which seemed to glow as an unison shriek coming from apparently inside the creatures announced the start of the battle.

Mei laughed and took a fighting stance immediatly, these things were disgusting, but didn't seem to be able to be of much problem. Especially since Mei went through hell during her martial arts training. Compared to what Mei experienced during her training, this will be a cakewalk.

A graceful smirk played across Nika's face as she drew her blade of phony silver. One foot tapped the ground impatiently. "Well, what beautiful creatures we have here," she said mockingly and laughed slightly. "I promise to be careful if you let me cut you up," she continued, a look of malevolent intent manifesting in her eyes. She wasn't going to be careful; she was going to gore the creatures.

She got to her feet, brushing off her white dress and pushing her hair out of her face. She noticed the mutants and hid behind the other girls in the area.

"Let's just get rid of these things, it shouldn't be that hard." Mei said cracking her knuckles.
The martial artist got into a crouching position ad in mere seconds, charged forward and struck the grotesque creature with a bone-crushing punch, then she flipped backward and took a defensive stance.

"Glad we could reach an agreement," Nika said to the creature in front of her and smiled as she leapt back suddenly. She held up her silver blade and ran her fingers across it. Suddenly, there was a loud screeching noise and a wave of sound manifested in front of Nika and was sent hurtling at the monster.

Alice slowly moved away from the others and headed for one of the creatures. It was suddenly that she noticed a Rabbit Hole nearby and squealed. She ran for it, tripping somehow and grabbing onto her foe. Together they fell down the hole, a scream coming from the young girl. A thud could be heard from the bottom of the hole. A voice rang up from what seemed a long way down.

"I'm okay!"

Nika grinned maliciously at the monster that had illogically appeared out of nowhere. "When you strike me once, make sure I go down!" She raised her blade and slashed the monster twice across its disgusting head.

Nika moves to A5.

Nika sighed and looked in front of her. Her eyes darted suspiciously back and forth before she bent down and picked up the strange scroll in front of her. Looking at it, she realized she had no idea what is was specifically; all she knew was that it was loot and she was keeping it.

The high judge set his gaze upon the mutant to his right, and paced patiently closer. He had to be in range of the creature otherwise his sentencing would be pointless.

"Creature! You are in cahoots with the other, so you are guilty of aiding and abetting the guilty. Suffer the consequences!"

Gethren casts Lawful Assertion on Palpitate. 120% Int (Neutral) damage.

GM Note: Skill Scrolls AND Technique Scrolls are particularly special Items that fall on the "Common Items" Category, and are ONLY obtained when an Enemy Character or Neutral Character is Perfect Kill'd (HP reaches exactly 0). You can have a maximum of 3 Skill or Technique Scrolls. What are they? They are practically the representation of the Special Attacks a Perfect Killed Enemy (Or Neutral) had. There's only one kind of Skill/Technique Scroll per Character which haves a predetermined Special Attack, so that means you can't try and get Skill/Technique Scrolls of all the Special Attacks an Enemy (Or Neutral) had. Though they are never lost, the Party can use only ONE Skill/Technique Scroll per battle, and its effects and limitations are the same of the Special Attack the Enemy (Or Neutral) had.

There was a sudden explosion as one of the four towering Toxic Ventilation Pipes was reduced to a pile of concrete and acidic liquid, a corroding smell permeating the air. A prolongated, inhuman shriek that seemed to come from both openings was heard by all the four Hunters, who immediately turned back to face the new thread.

GM Note: For those who don't know, Acid Cells are a kind of Special Cells, and they cause 3 Piercing Damage for all Player Characters who land in them. In addition, it will cause 3 Piercing Damage if the Player Character stays in the Acid Cell for 1 Turn. That's why you will need to list all the Cells your Character is moving to, I can easily identify and calculate the total Damage he/she is taking. Now, moving Diagonally is treated quite differently here... You would think it is the same as moving Horizontally and then Vertically, but it is not. Well, imagine we are in cell A1 (On an imaginary Battlefield), and A2 and B1 are Acid Cells. B2 is the Goal. You have 3 HP left... there's no way out, right? Wrong. You can move Diagonally by spending 2 MVT and reach the Goal unharmed. Moving Diagonally is represented by "[Character] moves from [Current Cell] to [Diagonal Cell]".

Nika gasped as the tanks burst and an even more horrid mutant stepped out. However, her astonishment subsided quickly and her typical sly smile graced her face once again. "Another beautiful abomination wants to be decimated? Well, everyone remember that it was the one who asked, so I won't seem like a murderer," she stated whimsically and rushed forward with amazing speed. She tracked a finger across her blade causing a blade of energy to surge out and strike the monster.

Nika uses Obeisant Hope on Xanan Bult! 7 Dmg! (ATK)

Uses: 0/2

Nika moves to G5, then H5.

Of course, the girl wasn't done with that. She leapt through the air landing in the acid. She merely smirked at the pain and brought her blade up to strike the monster before spinning and slashing it again.

Nika attacks Xanan Bult! 6 Dmg and a chance of Poison per hit! (ATK)

Nika takes 3 Dmg from Acid!

HP: 19/25
