Doggedly, Taiga pursued the mutant. It would mutate if he had anything to say about it. He drew another tag and hurled it at the sickening, pulsating mass of flesh. It once more burst into a ball of flames. Taiga mused idly as he watched the mutant wither and squirm. "I wonder if I get a bonus for each mutant I kill?."

Nika yawned and dashed off towards the acid, skimming over it like it was nothing, even though it was burning her feet, for her footwear had already been dissolved once. She stopped right in the middle of the puddle and picked up the bag resting in the destructive substance.

Nika suffers from the Acid! 9 Dmg!

After Nika had claimed the treasure, which was her forte, she quickly escaped the acid puddle and stopped when she was back on dry ground. Her feet were red and bleeding, but she walked along as if nothing was wrong with her.

She sighed and her cold gaze rested on one of the hideous mutants; it was up to something. "Now, now, love. It's not nice to do sneaky things," she said in a reprimanding tone to the monster and ran her fingers swiftly across her blade sending a wave of energy hurtling forth at the target.

Nika cringed. She was getting uncomfortably low on stamina, but she just shrugged the worry away. She was powerful and she could take a whole lot more abuse. A grin appeared on her face as she bore down on the mutant in front of her. "Sorry, love, but I'm tired of playing this game. Besides, there are plenty of other beautiful fish in the sea." With those words, she jammed her blade into its flesh several times, laughing as its disgusting blood splattered the ground.

And so, the Party was about to advance further when a bubbling sound came from the acid pool on the southwest. Slowly, an amphibian-like, anthropomorphic creature rose from the corroding substance, not being affected by it, however. As it was about to launch an attack, it noticed the broken glass of the cylindrical structure that spread the acid around the Novak City and immediately jumped acrobatically, landing perfectly on the acid below and swimming its way towards its unknown depths. Although being quite a startling scenario the Hunters were placed in, it was, in fact, a Biomonster that needed to be exterminated. Wordlessly, each Hunter approached shattered glass, and one by one jumped... it looked way bigger from the inside, that was for sure.
After minutes of walking by the aid of a Hazard Shell they luckily found on the way, the Hunters came to a section where the cylindrical tube was enclosed by an outer layer of concrete, thus making the rest of the passage being ridiculously dark. Nevertheless, they continued onward until the natural illumination from the entrance became a mere dot of light, the Hazard Shell's protective effects were starting to slowly fade out... Suddenly, lights that were distributed on the ceiling shone down on the Hunters, one by one they turned on like if they were being manipulated remotedly... That's when they noticed they weren't alone after all. The very same creature the Party had been following, along with two more mutants stood, announcing the start of another encounter. With the Hazard Shell finally depleted, they noticed a higher ground where they could momentarily stand the fight without entering the acid completely unprotected...

Nika looked around at all the acid, definitely unpleased. Her heels were ruined and her feet were starting to ache because of the corrosive acid. She didn't mind before; she only had to be in the acid temporarily. Now, the whole place was covered in the vile substance. However, she shrugged her shoulders. "Ah, what's a little more?" she finally said, glaring at the mutants. "At least I get to dance with some more handsome creatures," she added with a murderous smile.

The high judge grumbled as they'd walked along. Having woken up in a rather cranky mood before, he was none too happy right now. The fact that there were creatures to be dealt with just made him more grumpy. He tapped the butt of his staff against the ground impatiently.

"Let's get this over with, shall we? And the sooner, the better."
