Ryu couldn't afford to be swarmed by these things attacking her again, especially since they were probably much more threatening. She took a few steps forward and to the side, still waiting for one of the enemies to come to her.

Seeing Duke fall, Evan winced. That looked like it had to hurt. Mentally sighing, the Dual Blade trudged forward. Sure, it probably looked like a suicidal move but he couldn't care less.

Duke stared wide eyed at the wave of energy rushing towards him. "Oh... No," he said he glanced at his wet clothes. "Mommy. This will hurt..." The electricity hit him. Hard. He fell over backwards, clothes charred and smoky, all the while thinking of Miss-precious-red-gem's future and almost certain anger. He looked up and saw the light.
"Mother... is that you?... Are you here to guide me?... I'm coming mother!..." He was soon leaping happily across a flowery field with his mother and former pet hamster and kitten, laughing happily.

As much as he didn't want to admit it, even to himself, there was no way he would be able to survive another hit. Evan winced, feeling sore all over. The water was like freaking acid to his skin. He wouldn't be surprised if he found burn marks on himself.

The robots were unleashing volts of electricity upon his soaked allies and he was glad he had decided to retreat. His clothes, though not completely dry, were beginning to lose the massive amount of saturation that plagued them earlier. He snuck around the side of the bridge and prepared to go back on the offensive.

There wasn't much he could do except run up and die. Evan huffed, blowing at his wet hair in irritation. If only the damn fairy's magic were able to wear off now, he would have been fine. But no, the damn effects just wanted to stick with him. There was no way he was going to to those machines until he was sure he would be able to knock them out without being touched. And just in case, he quickly stepped to the side.

Roger shrunk back as the spheres of water collided with his chest causing him to lose his breath temporarily. It was a vicious beating, but he had the nearby robot on the ropes. With all his might, he swung his greatsword down on the mechanical brute, the blade finally rending the thing's armor and destroying its internal machinery.

Roger looked around at his fallen allies, their distraught bodies just lying there...how long would they remain unconscious before ultimately being whisked away by Death? Roger raised his greatsword and turned it around so that the point barely touched his own chest. "I-I n-need more p-power," he muttered, tears flowing through his eyes. He shook his head and closed his eyes. Blood splattered the ground. Roger screamed out in pain and fell to his knees, his body slumped over the sword that was now stuck in his chest. Is this i-it? he thought as his mind began to be shrouded in darkness. M-my p-power....where i-is it? As if in response to that question, a blue light appeared in his mind's eye and forced the darkness back. A blue aura suddenly burst into life around his body with snaky dark tendrils floating throughout it. Suddenly, he stood up. His eyes were wide and glowing blue with power. With a single movement, he removed his greatsword from his chest, huge drops of blood scattering across the area. Now, he was ready--ready to put an end to this.

Suddenly, the eerie silence that had befallen the area was shattered by the sound of metal shredding metal as Roger slashed the machine from behind. The cacophony ensued as he continued to flash in and out of existence, his greatsword completely rending the robot's armor, chunks of metal and machinery crashing to the ground. By the time he reappeared in his original position, the robot was just a pile of scrap metal.

It had been a devastating battle. Everyone had to be distraught, their bodies exhausted. Thus, they tended to their wounds and rested a bit before deciding to continue. The bridge prooved to be enormous. It took them at least half and hour to get to the center. From that vantage point, most of the cavern in which the waterway was built could be seen, dimly lit by the blue mana crystals embedded in the cavern walls. While the party gazed over the sight, a whirring of heavy machinery sounded out from behind them. It was at that moment that they realized they were not alone. Turning around, the source of the sound became evident. It was an enormous wall of machinery. The central unit was buzzing with life, its myriad lights blinking. A strange slab of metal shielded the unit, the surface flickering with electricity. To both sides of the machine sat a large panel with flashing lights and a few screens showing the functionality along with other vitals of the central unit. "WARNING! WARNING! TRASH ALERT!" a robotic voice blared. "INITIALIZING FINAL CLEANING PROCESS! NO TRASH SHALL REMAIN!" It fired off a few lasers that narrowly missed the party. It was time for another fight. Quartz had a lot of explaining to do.

A giant robot with sidekicks. Yah... This tunnel expedition just kept getting better and better. In any case, with the way his luck had been going, he was going to die again. Just what he needed to face Miss-precious-red-gem; Three plus KOs under his belt. He sighed with depression. This was all Quartz's fault.

Well, this was nice. Evan ran a hand through his hair, resisting the urge to heave a great sigh. More machines. Great.

Roger moves to H5.
The large cleaning machine with its attachments was very scary. Roger's legs almost wouldn't move at all. He managed to shakily navigate himself closer to one of the other attachments. It would be much easier to deal with the main unit if its attachments were destroyed. However, he had no idea how he was going to manage to break through the heavy metal used to create them.
Roger waits.
