The Secret Stories of the Masquerade!

It's a new stat roleplay that I will be running, and I will be accepting about four players. The introduction goes something like this:

What laughing lips will never show
Is that they are in Masquerade
Pasted masks upon their face
So their smile never fades

“Welcome to the place where the most innocent soul can play the devil, the impish personality can be an angel this night. The time when all is naught and all is here. Welcome to the night of eternity in an hour, the night when frivolity becomes passion, the only night when dreams are a reality. Welcome . . . to the Masquerade!”

This is the Secret Stories of the Masquerade, the everlasting night of wonder and terror. This evening is filled with tales waiting to be unraveled. The moonlight holds whispers of an unseen land, the land of Eternal Dreaming and the Forever Dark. What mysteries does this time and place hold? What lies beneath the surface of the Masquerade? Who dares to make it last?

You have received an invitation to the Masquerade Ball, a prestigious event but that’s all that is known about it. There are only rumors, only half-truths and ill-begotten lies, which hint at what goes on. But all that speak of the ball show a twinkle of the eye and a secret smile, with mysterious words of a wondrous and exhilarating experience. All that has to be done is to appear on time and with the invitation. A costume is not needed though preferred it says. Be on time and the Ball will begin.



Well, that's pretty much the introduction. I need to know if anyone is interested, mainly I need to know how many so I can know important details, such as how many monsters can I put in a single battle. I have been planning this out for a few weeks, been making creature profiles and battlefield maps, all the good stuff. So I'm prepared to take this roleplay all the way to the end, but it'll all be for naught if none wish to participate.

Basically, I don't care if your characters are or become overpowered because I can guarantee overpowered creatures to fight. This sounds like a bad thing, but it's mostly because I'm still a noob at GM'ing, and I'm still learning a few things. My Inflictionary is practically the same as you're all used to, but with a couple additions and subtle changes. Your beginning profiles will be the usual: Two techniques under one A - Ability, no R - Ability to start out with, etc. I will decide your starting stats, you will receive 3 stat points and 1 skill point every level, and you pretty much know the rest of what I'll do as a GM.

So what do you say? Want to play?
