Alidaire 101

I figured that I've opened my world of Alidaire up to you guys for a long time and expanded upon it ever since. So, I decided to see how much information you guys had retained, and it's also a good way to learn more about the world itself. Lots has to do with the history and the 'science' behind it. There are lots of questions I could ask, so I figure I can keep this going for a while.
