For my mom, I drew her a picture and gave her an Old Navy gift card.

I think she liked the card more than the gift card, she hasn't even put it in her wallet or anything. ._. I spend alot of time trying to win that. :T

I broke my wrist my sophomore year in high school.

Arthritis runs in my family, both sides.

My wrist wasn't fixed properly, so it sits at an angle rather than straight, like normal wrists do.

4 years later, arthritis comes early.

It fucking sucks. =3=

I don't like painkillers. They might kill pain, but they also kill my immune system, which is ridiculously strong. Haven't been sick in a few years, the worse I've had is the sniffles.

Well yeah, but what happens on the day? When you look at it, twenty's actually kind of a big number. There was a time when my life would've been about half over by then.

It's actually very weird, I was feeling the same way back in february. In time, you just realise everyone feels the same way about every age, then you just start ignoring it, until the next multiple of 5. Alcohol helps.

@Butters: Don't worry about it too much. 20 is just that year of "not being anything." Not a teenager, but not really an adult either.

It's one of those years you don't really care about. 18 and 21 are the big ones for adolescents.

Good times, those. Less crazy, but my liver cherished me more...

Anyhow, it's not an important year, but it sounds important. Just as all years multiple of 5 do. That's the problem.

And I guess being an adult or not is pretty much a matter of opinion. There are many definitions for adulthood, just as there are many for maturity.

Well, there's a difference between maturity and actual age. Some people can be in their 50's and act like a 12-year-old. I've seen it before. It's disgusting.

Then there are 19-year-olds that act like 50-year-olds. I've seen it before. It's really creepy. =3=

And then there are 30-year-olds that act like 30-year-olds. It really depends on the person's upbringing and personality, as well as environmental and genetic factors. There's a whole mess of things that could go wrong.

I've felt like an adult for awhile, but it had nothing to do with my physical age.

But I digress.

The 'adult' that I'm talking about it the actual number age. Not the mental age. It's really just a guideline, number age, and doesn't really mean anything, but it's rather convenient for talking about age in a general sense.

Does that make sense?

It's not that I don't feel like an adult. It's a gift to be all immature 12-year old one minute and then the next people just, "Wow," when they discover the seriousness.

And I don't really do alcohol. Whenever I actually seriously consider it, usually I'm not being me but a rather burned out, trying to ignore depression version.

Well, there's clearly a different between maturity and age, but ask 100 people and you will get at least 70 different answers, if all of them are able to answer it at all. It's like happiness, it's...dificult to define.

But personally, I agree to your definition.

And, Cerani, you do good. Alcohol is not good for you at ALL. But it's a lot like coffee: I know it's fucks me, it's not nearly good enough to compensate the harm it does, but for one reason or other you do it anyways. Maybe you became dependent on it (coffee), maybe it reminds you of good moments, or you dig the feel for some weird unexplained reason (nicotin), or maybe you just don't fucking care anymore, or have a few deep, unresolved self-destructive-masochist tendencies (alcohol).

Also, it's worth noting that drinking does not equal getting smashed. A few people actually dislike being out of their own control.

I think that caffeine is neither good nor bad for you. It doesn't help you and it probably won't hurt you unless you drink a LOT. And I'm not talking 4 cups a day. I'm talking 4 cups an hour. It's kind of ridiculous, really.
