Sekai looked over at the Demon, Dusk. She seemed to be having some trouble with the shadow creatures. She looked back at Hikari and nodded, "Okay, we'll go help her, the others seem to be doing fine on their own," She said, looking back at Autumn and Flora now.

Sekai moves to D-4

"Get out of my sight slime!" Sekai shouted, punching the creature, then twisting around and smacking it with her elbow, immediately followed by a hook strike from her left hand, with which she threw the creature towards the ground and pummelled it.

Sekai uses First Encounter on Dram! 6 ATK DMG each hit! 5 hits!

"Okay, watch over my body Sekai." Hikari said, walking forward a few steps before pointing her staff at one of the shadow creatures. Soon enough, both Hikari and the shadow creature were asleep, although Hikari remained standing.

Dusk hissed at the creatures as they attacked. Her eyes filled with pure anger as her claws became coated in darkness. She slashed at one of the creatures, the darkness piercing the skin. The claws then hit bare flesh, dealing great damage.

Twilight moved silently, heading for one of the creatures. Painting the air once more, a figure started to form. It was knight, who then charged at the shadow, slashing at the creature. Before the shadow could realise though, the knight disappeared.

Cyn watched in horror as it's friend attacked him, and turned it's anger on the one who had taken control of it, Autumn. With a insane rage, the shadow creature lunged forward and attacked Autumn.

Sekai, stunned by the attack, fell to her knees, coughing slightly. She took a look back at Hikari, who seemed to be sleeping rather peacefully. Sekai shook her head as shivers were sent down her body. She pulled back her fist and slammed it into the shadow creature.

Hikari raised her staff, her sleep undisturbed by her movements as she pointed the stick at the enemy she had just put to sleep. the air began to haze over, and a force seemed to blow the shadow creature away. However, the beast quickly woke up and glared at Hikari.

Shadow awoke only to see his allies fall before his eyes. Cyn had been ambushed and overwhelmed by two enemies and one of his friends who had been captured by a beastmaster, while Dram had been mauled by a girl's furious attacks. Shadow knew that if he were to have any hope of winning, it was to get rid of the girl.

Shadow moved forward and, like Dram before him, unleashed a fury of attacks against the girl.

Sekai cried out in pain as the attack took it's toll on her body. Glaring at the shadow creature, she swung her foot up and kicked it's jaw before jumping back towards Hikari for safety. She breathed heavily now, almost unable to stave off death's grasp.

Hikari's head twitched, as if she could somehow sense that Sekai was in danger. she quickly raised her staff and pointed it at the shadow creature. The monster suddenly started to twist and cry out in pain, as if something were tormenting it.

Finally free of the shadow creature threat, the group quickly tended to their wounds and hurriedly continued on their way to the town of Jesu. Upon their arrival, they were surprised to see the rising sun break through the dense clouds. The rain quickly stopped and the clouds began to disappear, bit by bit. Bathed in the warm light of the rising sun, Jesu, the City of Water, actually lived up to it's name of the most beautiful city in the continent.

Captivated by the beautiful city, the party could only walk slowly through the streets as the citizens slowly awoke from their slumber and began to busy themselves with their morning tasks. The group reached a corner, where three shops stood, each one labelled by a banner that moved slowly in the soft wind. Those three were: the Item Shop, Armor Shop, and Weapon Shop. Unfortunately, all three were closed.

The group turned around to leave, only to see a small tent that they had missed on their way in. The tent had no writing on it, but it was of the most elegant blue cloth. Not to mention it was rather large. A small stand outside had something crudely scribbled on it: "Sage of Water."

"This must be it!" Hikari said excitedly, "The sage lives in here! I have to say, I didn't expect him to live in a tent."

"Let's just get this over with before I start coughing again." Sekai grumbled, looking rather woozy. Hikari motioned for everyone to follow her inside, and she made her way into it.

Inside the tent lay an array of items, staffs, and other odd contraptions. However, no one seemed to be inside the tent. Hikari frowned, they must have gotten there at the wrong time. Sekai moved over to one of the rods and picked it up, staring at it. It was a long wooden stick, expertly crafted into a straight pole. She smiled at it and twirled it between her hands. "This would make a good weapon."

"That it is, young warrior." Spoke a voice from behind the group. Half of them jumped, surprised by the voice. Sekai, however, simply smiled and calmly placed the weapon down, turning around to face the source of the voice. It was a tall woman with long silver hair, similar to that of silk. The woman wore a long and complicated-looking blue robe, which extended down to her feet, covering them up from sight. Her arms were slightly visible, just enough so that the robe would not get in the way when she would attempt to use her arms.

"I suppose you're the sage, then?" Sekai asked, the woman nodded. Sekai turned her head to the side and gave a few, small coughs. When that stopped, she turned back her head and pointed to Hikari, "You'll need to talk to her." Sekai seemed to be holding back something deep within her throat as she spoke, making her sound strained. "You'll have to excuse me for a minute." Sekai mumbled, heading for the exit.

The sage stopped the girl, "Hold on a minute, let me see your throat." She said. Sekai looked up at the sage and paused, then slowly nodded, allowing the sage to touch her throat. The sage placed her fingers on the center of Sekai's throat and rubbed it gently, twirling her fingers in circles. "As I thought." She mumbled. "Hold still, warrior." With that said, the sage's fingertips started to glow a bright blue color, and she pushed into Sekai's throat. Tendrils of blue mana seeped out from her fingertips and entered the neck. After awhile, the sage pulled her hand back, the mana along with it. The mana had wrapped around itself while in Sekai's throat, and seemed to be dragging something black along with it. The sage finally freed the mana and black object from Sekai's throat, and opened her hand, showing what Sekai had inside of her.

It was a tiny black creature, for it was moving. Actually, it was flailing about in the sage's hand. The sage allowed Sekai to stare at it for a second before crushing it with her hand. The sage smiled down at the girl, who was awestruck.

"Sekai?" Hikari asked, concerned. Sekai was smiling brightly, her hand over her throat.

"The pain is gone!" She said, excitement obvious in her voice. She certainly sounded better, that's for sure. "I can talk without being pained! Thanks so much Miss uh..."

"My name is Annique." The sage said will a smile. "The Sage of Water. Pleased to meet you, young warriors. What else can I do for you today?" The question was directed at Hikari, as Annique turned her head towards the girl.

Hikari wasted no time in reaching into her pouch and pulling out the ring of beads she had shown everyone else earlier. "These are Beads of Light. They're supposed to drown out the darkness and purge it, letting the light take over once again." She said, hesitating slightly, "But...they aren't working."

"May I see them?" The sage asked, her hand outstretched. Hikari nodded, placing them carefully on the woman's palm. Annique studied the beads carefully, turning them over, tapping them with a fingernail, even going so far as to place one of the beads on her lips. The sage frowned with displeasure, returning the beads to Hikari and walking towards the back of the tent. She bent down over a bag and began rummaging through it, mumbling to herself.

"Sage Annique?" Hikari asked, confused by the woman's actions. She put the beads away, having a feeling that there was no other need for them to be outside. The woman didn't reply to Hikari's call, and instead, continued to search her bag.

"Aha! Here it is!" Annique exclaimed suddenly, pulling out a rather dusty rolled-up parchment. She carefully snapped the seal on the roll and unravelled the paper, studying it carefully. The sage took a quill to the paper and began drawing on it. When she finished, Annique handed the scroll over to Hikari, then pointed to it. "This is where we are." Annique said. The others hurried over behind Hikari so they could see the map as well. "You want to go over here to this temple. In the temple, you should see a pedestal. Place the beads on the pedestal and you must chant: "Beads of Light, broken by shadowy might, be filled with life, so the world will not die."" After she spoke, Annique stepped back and waited for the group to leave.

"If you have any questions, I will answer them now." Annique said cheerfully, her hands clasped together.

Dawn had taken over as they entered the city, most people approving of her appearance rather than Dusk's. She moved gracefully, her Halo unnoticeable and her wings covered by cloak. She followed the others into the city, watching the sights in awe. After the events with the Sage of Water, she remained silent.

Twilight too said nothing as they traveled. He had no reason to speak, there wasn't anything to talk about. As they entered the city, he made a mental picture in his mind, hoping to one day paint his best work yet. When they reached the Sage of Water, he nodded, also making a mental picture of her. He would paint her into his masterpiece eventually.

Autumn and Flora marched along the streets with the other people. They hadn't been in such a beautiful city before, for most of their time had been spent in the depths of the forest. Upon noticing the shops being closed, Autumn cursed, and Flora shrugged her shoulders with a smile. It was obvious Autumn wanted to check out the merchandise; hardly any traveling merchants wandered through the part of the forest she and Flora lived in. Autumn sighed. "There will be other times...," she murmured as the others caught sight of the tent.

Upon entering, Flora was more mystified than Autumn. She had always possessed an affinity for magic, though she tended not to use any herself; it was such a wonder. As she examined things, Autumn stood back and watched amusedly. "Don't get too ahead of yourself, Flora," Autumn warned. "And don't break anything; we probably wouldn't be able to afford it."

At this point, the Sage of Water entered. Flora was startled and nearly dropped something in her hand before setting it back into its original position. Autumn glared at her dangerously. Both watched as Sekai was relieved of the burden of the shadow creature in her throat. Listening carefully to the directions, the both exchanged a glance, one entailing an understanding that some more traveling was to be done. But Autumn wouldn't walk away empty-handed if it was possible.

She stepped forward and bowed slightly. "Kind Sage of Water, might you know of any rare beasts in the area?" she asked gently, her eyes closed in respect.

Flora watched and figured as much. How have I made a friend with such a one track mind?

Annique stared at the beast tamer and laughed. "You'll find out for yourself soon enough, my dear." She said. The sage waited for any further questions, and hearing none, smiled at the group, "Then, as you don't have any more questions for me, I will send you away on your little quest. When you are finished, come back and see me. I have something special to give you." With that said, Annique whisked the group out of her tent, shouting at them, "And now you must go! Go! I have an engagement to attend to and I must be early!"

After being thrown out of the tent, the group quickly headed out of the city, following the map's directions to the temple. Sekai's smile never left her face, her illness had been cured, that was something to be extremely joyous about. Hikari studied the map thoroughly before putting it away. She had a relatively good memory, so she wouldn't have to take the map out again for quite a bit.

"Annique was rather nice, don't you think?" Hikari asked the group, striking up a conversation. Sekai nodded in response.

"Something was off about her"

Dusk's thoughts were made clear to everyone, her voice hear in thier minds. It had been a trick the Demon had learned to communicate when her other was using thier body. The Angel had learned it as well, but since she did most of the traveling, she didn't use it as often.

"She seemed nice..."

"I agree with Dusk, something was off..."

Twilight started to paint the image of her in his mind. The thought that she could be up to something seemed wrong. She didn't look like the kind of person that could do wrong.

"Really?" Hikari asked, "I thought she was just a little funny is all. Sages are rather busy these days you know, what with the capital city being covered with darkness."

"I like her." Sekai said proudly, grinning wildly.

"You would Sekai." Hikari giggled.

Flora lingered at the back of the group, looking around, but Autumn trekked slightly ahead of her. "I wish she had been a little more specific such as species, location, strengths/weaknesses, etcetera...," Autumn grumbled slightly, thinking of what kind of rare beasts might dwell near the temple.

"I'm kind of glad she didn't," Flora spoke up uneasily. "For her vague explanation to Autumn, I think she's the kindest person in the world at the moment." Flora remembered countless times where Autumn put them both in danger just to tame a rare beast.

As the group continued to converse about the Sage of Water, Annique, they came across an odd pathway, decorated with even stones and surrounded by pillars. Most of the pillars seemed to have a few pieces missing, as if they were blown off by force. In the distance stood a lone tower, which loomed quietly over the group. The pillars closer to the tower seemed to have less and less damage dealt to them, and in front of the gates to enter the temple, stood two very large statues of soldiers.

As the group got closer to the temple, about to climb up the stairs to the gates, the stone statues began to crack. Eventually, the stone burst away to reveal two soldiers. One held a large sword made of bronze, and the other wielded an enormous shield.

"Trespassers of holy soil, state your purpose." A voice boomed out towards the party. It seems the voice had come from the two statues.

"We wish to revive the Beads of Light!" Hikari shouted defiantly.

"In order to enter the Sacred Temple of Light, you must first be given a test. Defeat us and we will grant you entry." The voice boomed again. Both soldiers stood still, regardless of what they said, but the meaning was clear. They would have to fight their way in.

Objective: Defeat All Enemies and Enter the Temple!
Atmosphere: This is it! We need to get past these guys no matter what! (Moral goes up! Critical hit rate is boosted.)

Sekai stood next to one of the pillars, ready to take on these two enemies they now had to face. Now that her injuries were healed, she could jump right into the battle, instead of being forced to wait, like before. she was ready to protect her sister.

Hikari stood behind her sister, intend on attacking their enemies from a distance. She would need to get as close as possible in order to put one to sleep, if she could.

Hikari starts in K-4

Dawn starts in I5!

Dawn looked at the warriors, her star floating around her head. Her wings appeared as did her Halo. She readied for battle, the star floating to her hands.

"If you want to test us go ahead!"

Twilight starts in J5!

Twilight loved the sight of the temple, he definately wanted to pain this as well. When the warriors popped out, he forgot all about painting his memories. Instead he would paint over his foes, and proceed into the temple.

Neither female were close enough to attack the enemy, and Hikari did not want to risk drawing attention to herself right from the start of the battle. Both of them would wait for the soldiers to come to them first.

Dawn was the first to attack, her star becmoing an arrow as she ran. She came to a stop, her bow of light in hand. She strung the arrow and aimed, letting go with ease. It hit the stone guardian with force
