Today, I learned that in order to obtain freedom, one must have the courage to disobey authority.

I read "Disobedience as a Psychological and Moral Problem" by Erich Fromm today. It is a very interesting read.

It told me something interesting here: "...freedom and the capacity for disobedience are inseparable; hence any social, political, and religious system which proclaims freedom, yet stamps out disobedience, cannot speak the truth."
