Mia walked over to Melody who was still levitating. The woman smiled down at her and lowered herself a bit so Mia could clamber onto her back. "Hm, hm, hm...you didn't even have to say a word," Melody said gently and smiled as she floated down into the secret passageway, letting Mia down as soon as she landed.

The young girl huffed and turned her head away from the psychic. "Grrr.....," was all she could manage. No words came to her mind that she could use against the woman. I just wanted a damn ride... she thought angrily and just decided to ignore Melody.

"To the Temple of Light then," she spoke firmly without much enthusiasm.

"Oh, they were still conscious," Rai said, sounding rather disappointed. "Too bad." She released a small sigh before turned her attention to the little girl tugging on her sleeve. Rai smiled and gathered Amaya in her arms, holding her securely with a firm grip. "Ready?" Amaya nodded.

Without even hesitating, Rai leaped down into the hold, landing on her feet without much trouble. Her boots hit the floor with a loud thud and it echoed through the dark passageway but she paid it no mind. Instead, Rai shifted her hold on Amaya, making sure she was comfortable before beginning to walk down the passage.

"And it's down the yellow brick road we go," the knight hummed light-heartedly, making Amaya blink. She didn't understand.

With Graveyard City left well behind in their footsteps, the party traversed the dark cave without much interference. On occasion, a spider or some other critter would approach them, only to scamper away after awhile. Sekai had to kick one of the larger spiders before it left them alone. They were getting steadily bigger as they moved on.

The light at the end of the tunnel was soon visible, bringing with it a sort of relief. They were virtually unharmed at the moment, but the sight of light was always a joy when having been deprived of it for quite awhile.

But what they saw beyond the tunnel was not the outside world. In fact, it seemed to be a completely different world from the one they just came from. This world was filled with tall buildings made of stone from a lost age. The innumerable stone statures dotted the area, and it seemed like a giant city to Hikari in the others, who stood high above it. To their side was a long, naturally-made staircase leading down into the city. There was no other place to go besides there.

"I can't say I expected this," Hikari said slowly, still absorbed by the sight.

"I'm not quite sure any of us were expecting this," Melody chimed in at Hikari's comment. To think that there was an entire city beneath the ground as well? A sane person would think that preposterous, yet here they were. She started to descend the stairs, eager to move on. Standing in one place in a place like this was something she found unsettling for some reason.

Rubbing her forehead slightly as if suffering from a headache or lack of sleep, Mia followed her companion down the stairs. "You'd best slow it down and let the others come when they're ready, woman," she lashed out at Melody who was being kind of reckless.

"Researchers would flock to this place if they were to ever find out about it," Rai commented, taking in the sight. It really was a fascinating sight. It had been here for years without anyone ever finding it. Until now, anyway. "What do you think, Amaya?"

"It's old," was the child's reply. She didn't look impressed, the expression on her face as stoic as ever. Rai stifled a chuckle. It was so cute.

"Do wait for us, Melody," Rai called out to the psychic, stepping after the eager girl. She didn't set Amaya down, preferring to keep the ice child in her arms, just in case.

"Come on Hikari, don't waste time!" Sekai said excitedly, grabbing Hikari's wrist and pulling her down the stairs after Melody and the others. The long stairs took quite a bit of time to travel down, but the end result was a view of enormous stone buildings. From the ground, it seemed as though the buildings scraped the ceiling. Old-time sky scrapers, probably. "You know, if we weren't in a hurry, I could spend days here, just checking this place out," Sekai admired, still looking up as she moved.

What she didn't notice was the tiny spider crawling around on the ground in front of her. Sekai ended up stepping on the spider, and crushing it, but not before it let out a short, inaudible squeal of terror.

"Big place. We might get lost if we're not careful. Stay together, everyone," Hikari said.

"There seems to be a lot of spiders around," Rai commented as she noticed Sekai step on a small one. They had encountered many during their trip through the passageway and Rai narrowed her eyes. But cold expression on her face lasted for only a split second, however, before it returned to her normal smiling one. "Watch your step, everyone. This place is quite old. We wouldn't want anyone falling now, would we?"

Amaya just closed her eyes, seeming to want to take a nap. Rai smiled warmly and quickly made sure the child was comfortable before she continued.

"You said it yourself. This place is old and uninhabited by people. There are sure to be spiders in the like," Mia spoke up condescendingly. As if it were a surprise there would be bugs.

"Mia, that's not very nice," Melody scolded. "Acting rude to me is one thing, but you'd best respect the rest of your elders here." She shook a disappointed finger at the young girl.

"I wonder when the deluded thought that I answer to you entered you mind," she stated simply and kept walking.

Instead of being angered, Rai laughed. "Oh dear, you're right. Silly me," she said, an amused smile on her face. "With age comes forgetfulness, it seems. I really am getting old." She paused her, gaze off to the side for moment before her attention returned to her companions. "Though, they must have eaten all the other creatures here. I don't think I've seen another insect yet."

She hummed thoughtfully, eying the place. "I wounder if we'll end up meeting the mother of these little critters. I imagine it to be quite big."

A roar of anger suddenly rung out in the abandoned city, causing Hikari to freeze on the spot. She didn't like it when roaring greeted them so suddenly. It only meant one or two things: Something was angry, and it was probably the party that had caused it.

Hikari's fears were confirmed as multiple giant spiders began crowding the area. She swallowed the lump in her throat, "Looks like we have company," she said nervously.

"It seems we've intruded upon their territory," the knight commented, shifting Amaya in her grip. The child's eyes immediately snapped open and she turned her head to look at the spiders. Rai quickly set the child down before bringing out her new weapon. It was quite handy. "Are you ready, Amaya?"

"Yes," was the simple answer. Amaya stood beside the woman, lightly gripping her dress.

Melody starts at J9.

It didn't seem as though all of the spiders were going to be small enough to just step on. Now, this was surprising whether the city was old and uninhabited or not. Huge spiders? But just a while back they had fended off skeletons and hellhounds, so she figured the arachnids wouldn't be too much trouble. However, when her mind reached out to find nearby items, she was disappointed to realize that there was nothing for her to move around. Something would definitely have to be done about that eventually.

Mia starts at J1.

Mia had wandered off a ways, but was immediately drawn to the sound of commotion nearby. She drew her blade in an instant and wondered what the problem was. The only things down here were spiders. "So, they've become so large as to actually become an inhibition as well? Shame," she muttered and prepared for battle.

"I'm gonna hide behind this building here for a little bit," Hikari said, directing her speech at the group, but looking at Sekai. "I don't feel like being attacked by anything just yet."

"Understood, in that case," Sekai planted her feet down on the ground firmly, her fists close to her body. Her entire body began to tense up as electricity started flying out of her body suddenly, increasing over time. Soon her entire body was surrounded by the lightning, and it eventually was sucked back into her body. The surge of power from the lightning seemed to make Sekai more confident, as a large grin appeared on her face.

"I'm ready to wreak havoc," She said, moving out to the battlefield. She put up her hand and motioned to the enemies, "Come to Mama," Sekai taunted.

Sekai uses Electro Boost! Atk increases by 50%!

Melody could sense an enemy right on the other side of the building. To make things easier for her allies, she decided to thrust her arm out sending a wave of psychic energy through the building that formed an invisible fist that grasped at the monster's legs, hoping to put an end to any of its movements.

Melody waits.

Mia moves to J3.

Getting closer to her allies, Mia ran a finger along the length of her blade causing it to waver. "Flow," she muttered simply and watched as the blade almost ceased to be solid. The enemies were in for some pain now. She slashed the air a few times with quick strikes; the technique was working properly. All that was left was to strike.

As the battle began, Amaya immediately began to call upon one of the greatest disasters to occur in her homeland. The temperature dropped steadily as the place began to rumble and snow burst into existence from above. It slammed down on the ruins and the spiders. Somehow, the buildings were able to repel the damage but Amaya paid it no heed.

[Rai] moves to [H-7].

"Let's see how long these things can last," Rai hummed, eyes dilating in concentration. This was slowly becoming her favorite move. It was quite effective. Though, it did give her quite a headache. Well, as long as it allowed her to vanquish her enemies, she supposed it was quite fine. She could deal with a little headache.

[Rai] uses Silent Momentum. ATK increases by 50%.

"Sekai!" Hikari called out to her friend, who's mind had apparently been taken over by the tiny, mechanical spider. "Let her go this instant!" Hikari shouted. She couldn't do anything though, lest she risk hurting Sekai in the process. The most she could do was put her sister to sleep.

Hikari had noticed that Mia's magic had no effect at all. The stone buildings must have been created from some odd magic, or at least protected from it. Hopefully if she had a clear shot, she could still cast magic.

"Okay, the buildings don't like my psychic abilities," she muttered to herself and instantly thrust out an arm in the direction Mia was in, seeing that she was about to shift through dimensions. A long arm of invisible psychic energy dodged around Melody's allies and grasped onto the spider, hopefully stopping it in its tracks.

Melody waits.

A spider was coming right for her, and as it lunged, she swiped at it with her blade, cutting it before it landed its attack. If the thing wanted to come at her, then she would meet it head on. The creature, finally coming to a stop after attacking, felt a slash upon its side. Mia had shifted through dimensions to lash out at the creature in response to it recklessly getting so close to her.

Mia attacks Aragog! 2 hits! 16 Dmg per hit! (ATK)

Mia moves to F3.

With one final swing of her sword, two gashes appeared in the arachnid before Mia figured it would have enough. She gathered her blade and dashed off to scope out the rest of the area for enemies.

They could move fast. Amaya quickly took a step back and stopped just before bumping into the princess. She seemed to have fallen asleep but Amaya paid it no mind and pointed her finger at the spider. Ice burst from below, knocking the creepy slightly off-balance.

[Amaya] casts Icicle on [Aragog]. 23 Ice INT DMG.
MP: 33/65

Rai blinked. Well, this was interesting. It seemed something had been done to the former princess by some sort of mechanical spider. She supposed to only way to break the spell was to destroy the thing. If she didn't fall to sleep, Rai did not wish to be punched in the face. That would be embarrassing.

[Rai] uses Raptor Ripper on [Kreuzschlüssel 1.6]. 29 ATK DMG. 4 hits.

Hikari grimaced, not exactly enjoying the fact that her sleep had no effect on the mechanical spider. Even while she slept, she tried to think of a battle plan to get that beast off of Sekai and out in the open. For the first time, she spoke aloud while sleeping, "Get out of there Rai," She said, albeit a little distraught. She raised her staff high into the air, the light mana from the orb on her staff and covering over Rai's body, healing her slightly.

Melody moves to J7.

"You're not getting any closer, Sekai," Melody said rather forcefully as she took Hikari's spot. It was dangerous, but she had to put a stop to the fighter until she regained control of her body. She thrust out her arm and with it, shot out a tendon of psychic energy that formed an arm which wrapped around Sekai's legs in an attempt to hold her still.

Melody uses Invisible Hold on Sekai! [75% chance of Immobilize]

Mia moves to E3.

Mia wasn't sure if there was going to be anything around the area she was investigating. There seemed to be an odd nook that was completely surrounded by buildings. It appeared to be the perfect hiding place for treasure...or a monster. She took one step forward, not ready to reveal herself just yet. "Slow, but steady," she whispered inaudibly to herself. She wasn't going to be like Melody: careless. If there was something around the corner, it was about to be surprised, for she was the one who held that particular element at the moment.

She would gain nothing by staying where she was. The large structures that surrounded her prevented her magic from being as effective as it would usually be. Amaya promptly turned and walked over to an empty space that would lead around the building.

[Amaya] moves to [J-4].

[Rai] moves to [F-7].

"Well, that didn't work as I thought it would," Rai commented as she ran past Sekai to the building across from her. She made sure to keep a distance as the former princess had no ranged attacks. She would be safe if Melody's powers worked on the fighter. It disappointed her, however, that she had to waste her skill. She decided to take her frustrations out on a nearby spider. Not that she was even frustrated in the first place.

Hikari waved her staff around, tapping Melody lightly on the shoulder; she wanted to cast a spell on Sekai that would fix her up immediately. A soft, warm light enveloped Sekai from Hikari's orb, bringing her back into the fight with nothing to worry about except being controlled again by that annoying creature. But now, she would be able to fight back.

Sekai blinked, finally waking from her nightmare. She looked around at her allies, most of whom seemed more beat up than they had when she last saw them. Sekai's fists clenched tightly, her teeth gritting. "No one...no one gets away with controlling my movements," she growled, glaring down at the mechanical spider. She raised her fists and, in an instant, let loose a beating upon the mecha-spider, crushing it's circuits and motherboard instantly.

Unfortunately, her movement wasn't enough to allow her access to any of the enemies. Amaya continued to run along the opening between the buildings, aiming for an open space that would allow her to attack one of the creatures they were fighting. Though she could sense one such creature, the ruins would not allow her magic to go through.

[Amaya] moves to [H-4].

[Rai] moves to [G-4].

Seeing Amaya appearing from the little space between two buildings, Rai quickly made her way over to the child. She kneeled down, checking for injuries and finding none, smiled and pat Amaya on the head. Reassured by her safety, Rai stood up and attacked the nearby spider.

Melody waits.

With all of the repression of magic associated with the area, Melody knew her attacks were bound to fail if she used them on the spider not too far away. She wasn't too keen at putting herself at risk again. Besides, her allies seemed to be handling themselves quite well. "Forgive me for now...curse these buildings," she sighed and shook her head in sadness and slight frustration.

Mia moves to C5.

"You're mine now," Mia stated simply as a shell of darkness rose from the ground and surrounded her. In mere seconds, her body reappeared next to the cowering spider in a flurry of darkness and slashed at it, watching as a shadow clone of herself burst out of sphere of darkness left behind only to slash at the spider as well. She cut the fabric of reality once and hopped into it to reappear at her original location, satisfied.

"It was worth the wait," she muttered condescendingly and turned her back to the arachnid. It had been torn to shreds thanks to the effect she placed on her blade.
