"Commander, I think that thing's after you," Teresa called out to Dolce, pointing at the golem that was stomping her way. At this point, there was nothing she could do about it. Fishing around inside a small bag at her side, she pulled out a small shard filled with a bit of mana and pressed it into her skin where it dissolved. She could feel the mana flow within her, but it wasn't enough to execute the technique she needed. It was the one to lower the defense of the golems some more. The things were proving rather difficult to strike down.

Teresa waits.

"Aw damn. This is probably going to hurt," Dolce cursed loudly as she dodged past the golem and stopped in front of Teresa. She took out a shard of her own and pressed it into Teresa's hand. "There ya go, chick. Let's get making with the breaking." She turned her head to look at Erix. "How you holding up, man? If you need some of the shards, just use them. We'll worry about getting more later, you got it?" She placed a hand on the mage's shoulder gave him an encouraging smile despite realizing that the golem was likely to smash her as soon as it got the chance.

Erix turned to Dolce as she put a hand on his shoulder, and nodded in agreement. He looked back at the remaining golem, then to the two wraiths, and said, "Well, then what the Hell."
With that, he opened his bark colored tome to one of the pages he had deemed less than important, and with a snap of his fingers a small flame appeared above his thumb and index finger. It swirled and danced along with the motion of his fingers before dropping to the open page of the book like flaming wax. The flame burned runes onto the page, creating the unintelligible words that had been unused by Erix before the previous night. Now, however, the words fell from his tongue as if he had uttered them a thousand times. Scorching the final symbols into being, the flame spiraled up to the shrine's ceiling, where it began to create great clouds of orange and green smoke, which swirled about aggressively above their heads as Erix continued to speak.
As the final word left his lips, a grand show of lights began. Columns of fire, every imaginable color, fell from the clouds and onto their enemies. Erix shut the tome to extinguish the flaming runes and seal them in ash among the pages.

Things had turned rather hairy in a short amount of time. The trio had been holding up well against the rather resilient foes, but now their leader had become miniscule under the mighty stone hand of the golem. It was fairly painful to watch, and Teresa winced slightly, completely ignoring the meager scratch the nearby wraith had dealt her. Her weapon seemed to resonate slightly and she could feel a tiny amount of energy coming back to her. "Are...are you all right, Commander?" she asked Dolce in concern, dodging away from the wraith that was assaulting her and positioning herself near the golem instead, her blade flashing sharply as it had before. With its renewed strength, she could hack away at the golem's brazen defenses.

"Damn, knew that was going to fucking hurt," Dolce cursed, slamming a hand into her face at the notice of her rather shortened stature. "I'm about as okay as one can be stuck like this," she remarked, gesturing to her form before turning tail and gaining distance from the golem. There was no point in attacking it now; the damage would be minimal and it would only serve to bolster the thing's defenses, from her observations in fighting the previous one. Her sharp eyes had noticed. When it came to fighting monsters, not much missed her gaze. "Just do the best you can without me for now; I'll do my best not to wind up six feet under!" she called back to her allies.

The power behind the wraith's claw attack was not an annoyance any longer, but a dire threat that left the hunter at the brink of demise. She dodged away from the creature and raised her bow, taking aim at the being. "'Fraid I don't have much longer, rookies. Guess your leader failed you on this one," she uttered aloud, her voice tinted in shame. Her bow began to glow with a dark aura before she fired the arrow, the projectile morphing into the shape of a serpent as it glissaded through the air, bending around the wraith in an attempt to keep it in place. "Don't know if that'll hold it or not, but damn...I have to do something," Dolce cursed to herself, trying her best to stay in the game for as long as she could.

"Dolce!!" the woman shouted as she noticed the wraith taking advantage of the hunter's shrunken state. Teresa trembled in fear caused by thoughts of what might happen to Dolce. Even cornered like she was, the brave leader wasn't about to back down just yet. But Teresa couldn't help but feel hopeless. There was nothing she could do....except keep the other monsters distracted such that they ignored Dolce and focused on bigger threats. She flashed Erix a look. She wasn't exactly sure how intelligent these things were, but she didn't want to vocalize her idea in the case that they understood. Sighing to herself, she hoped that would do. It was then that she stepped forward and turned on the golem, a triad of powerful strikes made against it from Teresa's enhanced blade, lowering the golem's mighty defenses.

Teresa cringed as she watched Dolce fall over at the hands of the wraith, her body returning to its normal size. Was...was it over? She it was possible for resurrection, but...how? She couldn't remember and it scared her tremendously. "Dolce is strong," the blade dancer told herself. "As long as we get rid of these things, we can tend to her." She rushed the golem that was attempting to gain distance from her. As she came to a stop, she focused on Erix. "This thing is done for; work on the wraiths," she called out to him before slashing at the weakened stone of the golem finding it much easier to slice through before following up with two extra slices.
