Free kills and amazing match history? I'm all for it...

I don't think I've seen a single Zed make use of the teleport portion of his R once.

Or his W teleport.

Or the doublecast on Q or E.

Or the slow on the E when cast by the shadow.

Or the bonus damage he gets when attacking a low target.

Or his early strength.

Or anything.

I feel like everyone makes the newest character out to be some awesome beast that no one else can beat.

...

Even after getting beaten thoroughly.

The crazy thing is, most of the new champions ARE beast at what they do.

Zyra has some of the stupidest burst and teamfight control in the entire game.

Rengar is single-handedly the most broken champion in the entire game due to his resourceless nature and crazy damage (which he gains without building a shred of offensive stats).

Diana is probably one of the strongest mids in the entire game with her insane burst. If she doesn't kill the target, she can stick to a target indefinitely using her QRQRQRQR etc combo. Not to mention, the utility on her E is equally as good as the utility on Orianna's RW combo, which is flat out stupid.

Syndra has the single best single-target burst in the entire game when utilizing her QQEWQR combo effectively. Unfortunately, single-target burst isn't really good in the current meta (where AoE teamfight presence is what matters), but when the meta changes to something more single-target based, she's going to be a monster.

Jayce was broken before the mana cost and E nerfs. Luckily he's been put back into control. It was flat out stupid to have a free Shurelya's active on a 15 second cooldown combined with his ridiculous damage output.

Draven has steroid-level damage, but he requires skill to play so that's okay. (b=3=)b

But, on the other hand, some releases like Varus, Elise, and Zed are just plain outclassed by other champs that already exist. For instance, if you want a CC reliable AD carry, pick Ashe instead of Varus. If you want an effective pusher/burst hybrid, pick Nidalee instead of Elise (this one is debatable since Elise has hard CC, but Nidalee doesn't, there's probably a better example of her being outclassed). And then Zed is outclassed by assassins like Akali.

Atually, LoL intentionally makes new champions stronger(or tries to) in order to keep the game fresh.

It goes liek this:

OMG new champion is OP.
Everyone picks new champion.
We gotta find a counter, he is so unbalanced!
Someone finds a counter.
Everyone plays the counter.
Old champion is nerfed.
Another new champion comes.

And that's how they keep you interested.

I once had a Kha'Zix on my team vs. bots.

He wasn't very helpful. Died to the turret a lot.

I have seen a few good Kha'Zix players. Just a few.

Nami looks good, too bad I don't really play supports.
I might have to learn.

Edit: I am satisfied with the Free Champ Week excluding Zed.

They try to make strong champions. That does not mean they succeed in doing it.

I'm probably going to buy Nami just because my friends are going to make a ranked team and I'm probably gonna be stuck as support. Not that support's bad or anything, especially with the new season 3 stuff, I'm really looking forward to the changes they're making to supports :3
