Janie stared at Ashe, the Mana Knight had fallen, truthfully Janie had no care for her. But since there are so many others around, Janie had to act a bit, even if it means to cry over someone's death when she hadn't the slightest hint of affection toward them.

"ASHE!" Janie cried then turned to the newcomer, "You killed her!"

But when the girl mentioned that she would replace Ashe in the group, Janie thought for a moment before nodding to Serenity.

"Alright, you can come with us. But you'll never replace Ashe in my heart." Janie said, still putting up an act.

"Oh quiet. It's so easy to see right through you. But whatever. I doubt this will be a waste of my time. Shall we proceed?"

Jade had seen threw it the minute the girl screamed. It was quiet obvious that no one in the room was cared for in the slightest by the girl. Maybe the cleric, but if so, it was the tiniest bit. Heading back down the hall way she motioned for the others to follow.

"I believe there is something in this next room you'll want to check out."

Her words were sealed with a wink.

Anastasia busy looking around at everything with interest. She wasn't even paying attention to what was going on behind her. She saw the dead girl and another girl who offered to replace her. What was this? This journey...it was meaningless.

W-what? her inner thoughts were brought up. Is that what has been wrong? Is a journey worth having if it's....meaningless? What if I died? Would they care? Probably not. I...I think it's time for this journey to end. Anastasia shook her head. She had always been hasty, spontaneous, and a bit crazy. Now she had started a journey that wasn't meant for her. She had been deceiving herself the entire time, thinking that the others she was travelling with didn't matter as long as she got to go on her journey.

She was wrong.

"If you say so, Janie," Serenity said pleasantly. But instead of proceeding down the hall like the newcomer was, the Acolyte, instead, stepped over to Ashe's fallen corpse. Bending down, she lay a gentle hand over the once living woman's eyes, carefully closing them. A smile was present on her face, a sad and bitter looking one. "There's nothing I can do for her except pray, I suppose. It's unfortunate." Serenity paused, staring at Ashe with blue eyes darkened by some emotion. "She had a whole life ahead of her."

She stared at the corpse for a little while longer, watching as blood dripped out of it before closing her eyes and getting to her feet. Brushing off her cloak, she clasped her hands and assumed a praying position. After a moment of silent prayer, she reopened her eyes and turned, smiling at the one who had killed Ashe.

"Well then," she began, her voice somewhat hollow. "Be sure not to become a nuisance. If you do, you'll die. Alright?" She continued to smile, although there was something foreboding about it. "It's only right since you killed Ashe."

Jade was starting to get impatient. If they didn't get a move on she would just go ahead. This group obviously wanted to mourn, but what was the point. Especially when the one who was being mourned over did nothing in battle.

When the group opened the large door, they were in a room with absolutely nothing, save a giant spider-like piece of machinery. The spider robot seemed very well-made, and on what seems like its abdomen area, there was a large incubator tank filled with a strange liquid. The liquid was too thick for whatever was preserved in the tank to be seen.

The robot let out a screech as soon as it detected the intruders, the liquid in the incubator also began to bubble, whatever's in that tank, it's probably going to come out soon.

"I told you there was something interesting in this room. Now let's crush it into a million pieces!"

Jade had her daggers drawn and ready, if she was gonna fight, she would need to keep her distance. Luckily, she had the perfect moves to do such a thing, and it wouldn't be too hard to do.

Andrew starts at I4.

First the bizarre experiments that caused him so much trouble. Now a giant robotic spider. It was beginning to look as it these people attracted trouble. Granted, it was a mission request, but still... Andrew gathered his wits and mustered his fighting spirit. Simple squashing wasn't going to cut it for this particular bug, and Andrew wanted to be a bit more than cannon fodder this time. The thing was, life didn't exactly share his wishes.

Anastasia took out her sword hilt and watched as the silvery aura shot out of it to form the blade. It would be a shame to put her abilities to waste by going home, but she actually missed school and the like. Her own solo misadventures were more entertaining than this one, and more meaningful by far. She would just have to continue on for now.

Andrew was not about to risk the big metal spider. He had learned his lesson in the last battle. He only took a few steps forward. Last time, his valiant and fool-hearted attempt at chivalry ended in his rather rapid demise. Better move with the group this time.

Anastasia wasn't worried about the enemy getting close to her; she would simply use her aura to ward it off. She remained cautious though, for it might have a trick up its sleeve. As soon as the moment was right, she would strike.

It was a robot, which meant that Wrath was behind all this. Janie should've guessed when she saw the disfigured experiments from before and the fact that this place is a labratory. And knowing Wrath, this robot will have some strange tricks up its sleeve, so to speak. And it was best to destroy it as quickly as she could, after all Wrath wouldn't give the group any time to prepare themselves.

Anastasia sidled up next to the monster, the aura forming the blade coming out of her sword hilt a strange gray in color. She didn't hesitate to slice right through the thing, the gray aura attempting to place some sort of affliction upon it.

Andrew lurked over to the robot. Lurking was only natural with what he was intending to do. True, the metallic body of the robot didn't look the least bit appetizing, but the concept was the same. The taste wasn't, but the concept was. He ran his tongue over his teeth hesitantly before opening his jaw and sinking his fangs deep into the robot's rough metallic body. He thought past the horrible taste, the throbbing in his gum, the burning in his throat and revulsion in the core of his being, thinking only of the life giving properties.

There wasn't anything for her to do at the moment. It didn't seem like a good idea to get any closer to the machine, especially since she was a supporter. Serenity decided to step to the side a little, enough to stay out of the machine's way but close enough for her to aid her allies.

Anastasia took the damage on the chin and fought back with a fierce slash from her weapon, this time the blade being a clear color, practically invisible. Why would the enemy guard against something that wasn't even there? It would probably just get a big laugh out of the attack until it realized that there was in fact a blade there. Immediately after the attack, Anastasia leapt back and focused, a light green aura surrounding her. It was slowly recovering her wounds from the enemy's previous attack.

Jade jumped into the air once more, her daggers pointing down. The battle wasn't over for her yet, and while her attacks were doing very little damage, she was happy. She knew she was less experienced in combat than the others, having been relying on stealth, but it was no matter. She would catch up to them soon.

About to run over to heal Anastasia, Serenity stopped herself upon seeing the young woman release a sort of aura. It seemed to heal her wounds and the Acolyte stayed her hand. There was no need for her to help, it seemed.

Andrew attacks Nyght! 6 ATK dmg

With that pesky barricade up, Andrew was even less likely to do much damage to the metallic beast. He spat again to try and get rid of the after taste, then slashed at the spiders metal hide. Not much damage, but the flying sparks did make him fell and bit better. Just a bit.
