Ryas' eyes widened and she tried even harder to get the hand off her mouth as an almost crazy look appeared in Tenkai's eye. Damn her and her killing obsession! As much as the Witch wanted to blast her with her magic, she knew better than to bring the Dark Assassin's wrath upon her. She was an assassin.

"It matters not how many of them come," Tenkai continued, smirking under her mask. "Even, it is only a matter of time before they cause chaos across the worlds. Why not get rid of them all now?" Ryas stamped her foot here, not happy about any of this. Tenkai spared her a glance before returning to the conversation. "The two of us have nothing better to do, anyway."

"Except run from freaks," the Witch was able to spat out before Tenkai regained her hold over her mouth. Ryas fumed silently.

"She meant nothing by that," the Dark Assassin informed, almost slyly.

King Mickey smiled in the light of the situation and looked to Kazega. "It seems your allies would not leave you or your friend in such a time." His expression grew grim, however, and turned back to Tenkai. "Unfortunately, there is no real way to get rid of the Heartless. Me and some old friends of mine have tried countless times, but there is always some evil organization who use the Heartless to try to take over the worlds. Maleficent, Xehanort's Heartless, Xemnas. All three of them had their goals and desires."

A pained look plagued Mickey's face as he remembered the innumerable battles fought to subdue them. And for what? "The truth is: As long as there is darkness in one person's heart, there will always be Heartless. Only hearts belonging to the light can rid the Heartless forever. But there will always be darkness in someone's heart; the key is to not let it overcome us. There is real evil in this universe of ours, and the people behind the curtains will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. I've seen it all before, and they use the Heartless to reach those goals. But as a result, the existence of all worlds is threatened.

"Heartless travel through corridors of darkness to arrive on other worlds. Once there, they devour the hearts of the denizens, for they wish to have hearts of their own once more. But they will never have hearts again. It is a cruel, but necessary fate for one's who chose the path of darkness. However, each individual world has its own heart, and the Heartless seek to devour it the most. Once they have consumed the heart of a world, that world is destroyed and lost in the shadows forever....unless the immediate threat at hand is stopped."

He paused. "Do you now see how frivolous this battle truly is? But we need your dedication, warriors of light. Now more than ever, we need it."

The mansion began shaking. As a matter of fact, the whole city began shaking. Mickey ran to a nearby broken window. Outside, the sky was growing darker and darker with ominous black and purple clouds.

"God damn it, Tenkai!" Ryas snapped, finally ripping the silver haired female's hand off her face. "Don't DO that! Why the hell did you-ARG. Nevermind! I should have known this would happen!" The Witch looked ready to tear her hair out.

Tenkai suddenly fell silent, looking thoughtful. Ryas glared, gritting her teeth.

"Whatever! This is a good opportunity for us anyway," she mumbled, turning her gaze toward the windows. "The more worlds we travel to, the better." Tenkai inclined her head toward the brunette in agreement, eye following her gaze. Her eye glowed eerily. Ryas cursed.

"Fucking Heartless."

Clara fell to her knees at the start of the shaking, she had not been expecting this. She slowly got to her feet, following the mouse to the window. The scene outside was frightful, the clouds were dark and everything seemed wrong.

"What's going on!"

Chris walked over without trouble, looking out the window, her eyes shutting. She focused on the Psychic Energies in the area, but was unable to see them. It was as if this Darkness had cut off her abilities.

"Whatever it is, it swallows Energy..."

King Mickey had a fierce look in his eyes. "Seems like Kalaya has given us a parting gift. But I cannot stay. There are other things I must attend to." He climbed onto the windowsill. "If you do intend on fighting the Heartless, I suggest finding my companions, Donald and Goofy. They're in Benevolentia to the north of the Dragonscar Mountains. We might not meet again for a while; I must investigate this new group and find the keyhole to the heart of this world and seal it." Before he jumped, he looked back. "Good luck on your journeys, warriors of light. Know that though we may not see each other, our hearts will always be connected."

And then he jumped.

The party was left amidst the violent shaking. Something was beginning to form in the plaza of the Noble's District. It was an enormous Heartless by the looks of it. "What is that?" Kazega managed, her voice slightly choked with fear. "It looks stronger than any Heartless we've faced before." She closed her eyes. "But we must fight." She let Trinity try to stand on her own.

"T-thank you, Kazega," she said weakly. "I-I heard everything. So, are we going...to take this thing down or what?" Though she was weak, she smiled, for she could feel her strength returning fairly quickly.

"Lets kill it quickly..."

Chris was already on the Windowsill herself. She didn't know why she didn't just use the stairs, but this felt right. She was ready to jump out the window and go after the heartless but stopped. She turned back to the others and gave a weak yet somehow confident smile.

"Shall We?"

Clara on the other hand did not wish to jump from a window. In seconds she was at the door, looking back to the others as Chris had.

"Come on!"

"WHAT?!" Ryas literally roared after the mouse as he left them. Flames could be seen in the background as the Witch glared after the King. "You little-WAIT UNTIL I GET MY HANDS ON YOU YOU SON OF A-"

"This seems like an interesting challenge," Tenkai mused, staring at the giant Heartless as Ryas continued to RAGE in the background. She was used to the Witch's antics. Turning to the rest of the group, she motioned toward the Heartless. "Well then, shall we proceed?"

Meanwhile, Ryas had literally thrown everything she could get her hands on at the walls and was now breathing fire.

Thus, the warriors of light proceeded to leave the mansion. In town, there was nothing but chaos. People ran and screamed. Many fell victim to the innumerable Shadow Heartless that roamed the town. The winds were strong and houses were being torn apart. Tons of debris lay scattered on the streets and even more was still swirling about in the air. When the party reached the plaza of the Noble's District, they got a better look at the massive Heartless. It was completely black with yellow eyes. It looked humanoid and had a large, heart-shaped hole in its chest. It caught sight of the party and roared.

Trinity summoned her keyblade, her body back to full strength. "Let's make this quick!" she called out gravely. "The townspeople are suffering enough as it is..." She glanced over at the people running about.

It was a battle to save Elendia's capital city.

Phase 01-C: Shadow of the Heart

Location: Altinor - Noble's District Plaza

Objective: Defeat Darkside!

Atmosphere: Complete Chaos

"Look on the bright side. It just makes him an easy target."

Ryas clenched her teeth, arms shaking with rage. She couldn't believe she was actually getting involved in the problems of others. It made her want to RAGE. Tenkai, on the other hand, seemed all for it. Then again, as long as she got to kill something, the Dark Assassin didn't care.

"I hate you."

"I know."

Clara starts in J1!

Clara quickly made her way to a safe corner. Her Organ was already waiting for her. She tried her best to warm up, but couldn't get a good tune going. She strained to listen to her music over the wind. And suddenly she could hear, it was like the storm was being tuned out.

Chris starts at I4!

Chris stood her ground, looking at the heartless. It was the cause for this storm, it was swallowing the energy. She wanted to rip it to smithereens, but instead started planning. She thought that hitting it from her distance would be a good start.

"Telekinesis it is..."

With keyblade pointed at the giant Heartless, Trinity stood her ground. This was her hometown, after all. Somewhere amidst this chaos, her family must be trembling in fear. Anastasia...

Kazega starts in I3.

Though she wanted to be next to Trinity, Kazega found it more strategic to tackle it from the other side. Its size allowed for many parts to attack. In the end, its size would be its true weakness.

Trinity took immediate action. Rushing up a bit, but not too far, she raised her hand and brought it down quickly. A sphere of ice formed above the giant's head and then crashed into it.

With a quick swipe of her fan, Kazega created a different kind of gust that tore through the area and slashed at the Heartless at the end of its travel.

"I've got nothing," Ryas said after a moment of silence. "It's big and that's about all that I can think right now." Tenkai stared up at the monstrosity, looking thoughtful. Suddenly, her image became a blur.

[Tenkai] activates her S-Ability: Agility! Dodges all hits for three turns.

"It seems its only redeeming quality would be its abnormal strength," the Dark Assassin noted. "I shall see if I can anything about that." Ryas opened her mouth, ready to scold her but the woman had already disappeared, reappearing in front of the giant.

[Tenkai] moves to [E-5].

There was no way for her to work her technique down her. Tenkai bent her knees and suddenly leapt up onto the thing's arm. She quickly ran up it, claws glinting. Once she reached its neck, she struck down, stabbing her claws in.

[Tenkai] uses Pressure Point on [Darkside]! [70%] ATK DMG, chance of Disable and Added Effect: Burn.

"How the hell do you Disable something like that?!" Ryas demanded as she watched the Dark Assassin's stupid attempt at stilling it. Smacking her forehead, she rubbed her temples. Tenkai was always doing some of the strangest things. The Witch quickly shook her head, concentrating on the battle once more, and took Tenkai's original place.

[Ryas] moves to [I-5].

Without a word, she created a ball of water above the Darkside, letting it drop directly on its head. It couldn't move to avoid it, seeing as it was stuck in its place.

[Ryas] casts Water on [Darkside]! 60% Water INT DMG and chance of Wet!

Chris looked up at the being, already enacting her plan. She knew she wasn't too powerful so it would be best to stay away. She focused on the Energies, and sent a burst towards the creature.

Clara started to play smoothly, the notes easily heard over everything. As she played, she could tell Darkside was slowly confusing himself. She slowly came to the end of her piece but picked right back up again. One final note sent the sound towards the giant creature.

Without hesitation, Trinity struck at the newly summoned Shadow Heartless. It seemed just as weak as it was when Trinity first started fighting them. She knew they wouldn't last long, but what was the large Heartless planning?

Kazega followed Trinity's lead and aimed to get rid of the minor Heartless as soon as possible. She slashed the pathetic creature with both of her fans and stood her ground. Getting to close to the larger Heartless might be dangerous.

"What the-?!" Ryas stared at the newly formed Shadows for only a split second before she immediately created a fireball. "Aren't these the same guys we fought when we first met?"

Tenkai quickly grabbed onto one of the giant's hair locks, steadying herself as the thing slammed its fist into the ground, creating Shadows. She narrowed her eye. They were weak, that was certain. No doubt, the others would be able to finish them off quickly. She focused her attention back on the Darkside.

She stabbed her claws once much into the thing's neck before suddenly leaping to the side as a hand moved over to where to was. Still on the giant, the Dark Assassin jumped onto its head. Her Agility would wear off in a bit.

Chris looked at the shadows, they seemed rather easy for enemies. She would deal with this for now and go back to fighting Darkside later. She moved back, giving the shadow a false sense of intimidation.

Chris moves to J4!

Then smiling deviously Chris brought her arms back, her energy surging to her hands. With one movement she brought her hands forward and the energy shot at the shadow.

Clara noticed the creature wasn't being effected by her tune. She played it again, putting more emphasis on certain chords. As the notes drifted away, they went towards the shadows and the creature. She came to a very abrupt end, but the effects would remain the same.

Once again, the giant Heartless didn't flinch in the least bit from the attacks. Instead, it bent over and seeped its hand into the earth. When it withdrew its hand, a large ball of surging energy was in it. Slowly, it raised it to the sky and let it fly away. However, the party would soon be devastated as smaller balls of energy rained down on them from above.

Trinity quickly dodged the slowly descending gravity balls and instantly raised her hand, only to drop it almost instantly. That caused another sphere of ice to crash into the giant Heartless's head.

With deft agility, Kazega easily avoided the Heartless's attack and effortlessly transitioned into casting a wind spell on the enormous monster.

Seeing the orbs come flying down from the sky, Ryas raised an eyebrow. She waited until one of them was close enough before touching it. And hissed.

"Damn, that burned!" she shook her hand in pain. Well, that was the last time she touched something unknown.

"You should know better than to touch things you don't know what can do to you," Tenkai said in an almost scolding tone. Ryas just frowned. The Dark Assassin leaped back on the giant's neck and stabbed down.

[Tenkai] uses Pressure Point on [Darkside]! [70%] ATK DMG, chance of Disable and Added Effect: Burn.

[Ryas] moves to [G-5].

"Alright, get ready to be shocked," Ryas pointed a hand toward the sky, waiting as a dark cloud formed above the Darkside. Tenkai raised an eyebrow before leaping off the giant, knowing better than to get in the way. She landed on her feet, unfazed by the great height she had just fallen from.

[Ryas] casts Thunder on [Darkside]! [50%] Lightning INT DMG and chance of Paralyze.

Chris watched as the Shadow disappeared. She started to cheer over her small victory. Unluckily for her, she didn't notice the ball of gravity that was headed straight for her. She took the blow and looked at the Giant Creature.

Chris moves to G4!

Chris moved closer to the being and took out a Bomb Core Shell from her bag. If the being wanted to mess with energy, she would fight back the very same. A mixture of Energy and Darkness filled the shell as it levitated in front of the Psychic. She closed it off and then chucked it at the being, the bomb exploding on impact.

Chris casts Pyscho Bomb on Darkside!
(Damage: 50% Pierce INT/Effect: --/Element: --)

Clara continued to notice that her attack was not effecting the creatures. She decided a different tune was in order. She started another tune, even with the disaster going on, she knew it would work. Suddenly a pack of wolves appeared and started attacking Darkside. Clara smiled until Shadows from nearby took thier hearts and moved on thier way.

Finally, the giant Heartless expressed that it felt at least a little pain because it started to lean back a bit. However, it quickly retaliated. Another sphere of energy appeared in the hole in its chest, and with a bit of recoil, fired several missiles made of complete darkness into the air. Unfortunately for the psychic, they homed in on her and exploded on impact.

Kazega also gracefully dodged another gravity ball by swatting it away with her fan. Unfortunately, she didn't have enough mana to conjure another shredding gale, so she tossed her fans at the Heartless instead.

"Alright, this big guy is starting to piss me off!" Ryas snapped, this time evading a gravity ball. A cold mist appeared in front of her before it condensed, an icicle forming. "Eat this!"

Agility having ended, Tenkai frowned under her mask. She had failed in her objective. Stabbing her claws into the giant's leg, she ran to the side, dragging it along and creating a huge gash.

Chrised was hit by the gravity ball again. She fell to her knees, knowing she couldn't take another hit. She retreated, hoping to escape the pain of another attack. As she came to her new position, she took out a potion and uncorked it. She put it to her lips and sucked down the liquid.

Clara knew her energy reserves were running out, but she didn't have the enemies to regain it. She decided it would be best to play her previous tune, despite the fact that the animals might not escape. Se played quickly and then shut her eyes.

Upon being struck by the assassin, the giant Heartless moved a huge arm and smacked the assassin causing her to go flying a ways only to crash into the ground.

Trinity's luck finally ran out. Distracted by the newly summoned Shadows, she didn't notice a gravity ball falling down right above her. It exploded upon contact, knocking her to the ground. But she knew she couldn't stay down, so she quickly scrambled up. "Okay, now I know how much these things hurt," she said while rubbing her head. "You guys can handle the small Heartless, right?" With that, she dropped another sphere of ice on Darkside's head.

Seeing as how slow those things were falling, Ryas ignored the gravity ball in favor of the new Shadows that had appeared. Her doll would take the damage this time. These Shadows were also weak. She decided to leave it to the others and concentrate on the giant one.

Thrown back by the sudden blow, Tenkai stabbed her claws into the ground to stop herself from being sent flying into the air. Slowing to a stop, she wrenched them out, looking up at the giant. Her eye suddenly focused on the new Shadows that appeared and she quickly dashed over.

Not even caring that she would be sent back again, the Dark Assassin stabbed her claws into the Darkside's leg again. She quickly prepared herself for the counter.

Chris was glad to escape the torment of the final gravity ball. She then looked towards the other to see if they were so lucky. They weren't. She faced the creature and focused once more. Psychic Energy shot at Darkside.

Clara looked up and saw the gravity ball for the first time. She had been so consumed in her playing that she had ignored them. But when it hit her she was sent flying. She got to her feet, and limped over to her Organ. she sat comfortably and played her tune once more.
