"She wouldn't have to be if you weren't around." Clara muttered, arms crossed over her chest. It was true; if this Alice was not running around making a mess of things, then the right Alice would not be running such risks. True, the sword they came for would not be as easily available to them, but it would have kept their 'would-be champion' out of harm's way. Wherever the blade had been prior to Alice's possession, the party could have retrieved it for the White Queen.
Chris said nothing, but rather focused on the blade that their enemy was holding. Her grip did not seem to be very strong, perhaps she could just... the second she tried to act upon it a splitting headache took over. Gritting her teeth, she immediately stopped trying to pull the weapon away and swallowed the pain that began to ease. "What's up with that thing?" Chris thought to herself, mentally frowning as she looked at the blade.

Ryas gritted her teeth, scraping the crowns against each other. Her hands, shaking violently, slowly curled into fists and clenched so tightly, the nails bit into the skin of her palm so deep, blood began to drip with her skin. Her eyes of coal black changed, swirled, until there was a iridescent sheen along the curves of her pupils. The earth cracked beneath her, hot and cold air came together to create a swirling air current around her. Her hair snapped loose out of its binds and whipped around her face. Sparks emitted from body, curling up and along her clothing and skin. And yet her face.
Her face was that of tranquil waters. Of a gentle morning breeze. Of a calm spring day.
It was the calm before the storm.
"That is right," she began, each word said slowly and carefully as if they were made of glass. Her voice was void, contrasting greatly with the fury that could clearly be seen around her figure. "We let her go." The words, soft and light, seemed to flow through the air like a gentle breeze. "We let her go." Again, except, the words came out faster. "We-" Her breath caught and Ryas breathed out all the air in her lungs. "-let her go."
"It doesn't matter that she came first," the witch continued, the sentence addressing Clara. It was clear who she meant. "Ifs and whens have no meaning right now. Right now, she is here. We are here. And we." Ryas paused, her iridescent eyes locked solely on the Vorpal Sword. "Are here for that."
Tenkai was silent. She watched the witch with an unblinking stare, her usual playful demeanor gone. There was no bloodlust, no dark laughter, nothing. She was still and quiet as a fly on a wall.

Alice remained unblinking, though her gaze had drifted up towards the overcast sky. "The Vorpal Sword is something special," she spoke up after a few moments of awkward silence. "You'll find that wrenching it from my grasp with magic to be quite impossible." She didn't mention any names, but it was clear that she had sensed the attempt at it somehow from Chris. "So we're only talking about here and now?" Alice tossed the Vorpal Sword into the air where it halted at the pinnacle of its ascent, angled, and fell back behind Alice, embedding itself in the ground. Alice snapped her fingers and four large cards sparking with dark energy surrounded the thing.
"As long as I am alive, those cards will not fade. Only when I fall will you be able to retrieve the blade." Alice's indifferent eyes fell upon Trinity now. Was that a trace of amusement on her face? "If you want difficult Heartless, then so be it. I've become quite fond...of this one." The card dealer snapped her fingers again and the ground began to quake as a large dark vortex opened in the sky. From it appeared an extremely tall lanky Heartless with a red and black color motif, it's head tall and cylindrical with the appearance of several faces upon it. Its legs looked like crumpled paper leading down into performer's shoes. Its hands were kept busy juggling purple batons that would presumably be its weapons. Alice herself was suddenly shuffling a deck of cards rather skillfully. On the back of each card, a Heartless insignia design could be seen.
Trinity growled and summoned her keyblades while Kazega produced her fans from the wind. "So, you're not going to make this easy, but we are NOT leaving without that sword, so you best be ready to hit the ground, bitch!" Trinity shouted at the unfazed card dealer and prepared herself for a vicious battle.
Phase 03-D: The Vorpal Sword
Location: Dead Plains - Crossroads
Objective: Retrieve the Vorpal Sword from Alice, Dealer of the Cards!
Atmosphere: On a Rampage (We have the torches and pitchforks, and now we're gonna roast this bitch! / Ally Party Critical Hit Rate +40%)

With the battle commencing, Clara quickly turned on her heels and her arms dropped. In a swirl of mist, her organ appeared off in a corner as was usual. Without so much as another word to anyone, Clara began to ready herself for the long battle ahead, grimacing as she looked at the tall Heartless. That thing would have to be the first to go, and she was sure everyone else knew it.
Chris let her displeasure show as Alice made mention of her trying to take the sword. How had the Card Dealer possibly have felt her power? She had not even gotten the chance to grasp it, her influence should not have been felt. And the head ache was another thing, for though it was rapidly fading, she couldn't help but frown at her failure. What protected the blade from her? Why didn't it do that with the evil that had been holding it? She'd have to get a hold of it to figure out.

Ryas stared impassively at the newly introduced Heartless. Though they were here for the card dealer, her mind was clear and she knew that this new character would only bring trouble to their party if not vanquished first. Her heart beat steadily in her chest, each beat an agreement with the thought in her mind. She was angry. Furious. She wanted to rage. And yet, everything seemed as clear as crystal waters.
There was no need to lose her temper. Disregarding the card dealer, the witch stepped back with her eyes still on the towering Heartless, each step cracking the earth beneath her. "Thanks for giving us something worthwhile," Trinity shot nonchalantly towards Alice as Trinity focused her attention on the tall Heartless looming over the group. The Heartless never ceased to amaze her with their apparently wide variety. This one seemed rather fitting for the world in which they found themselves. Regardless, Trinity was intent to take it down which would in turn show Alice that they were nothing to be trifled with. Swiping one of her keyblades through the air horizontally, there was a flash of blue light before a large chunk of ice went hurtling through the air in a straight line, striking the Heartless dead on. It was here that she noted the thing's resilience. It wasn't like the large Heartless they had just fought, but more like the enormous one they encountered in Altinor that threatened to swallow the entire city.
Trinity moves to J4.
Kazega uses Wind Merge! [User Move x2]

Kazega allowed her body to become naught but wind itself, her form wavering as if in a perpetual tempest. It would allow her to approach the foes and escape easily if need be, though she was unsure of Alice's powers. Knowing her, she'd probably have plenty of tricks up her sleeves, and the casino attendant's outfit didn't help to assuage her worries. Everyone is confident, so there is no need to be so anxious, Kazega reprimanded herself as she lifted off into the air and surged across the heads of her allies and reforming on the other side of the path, trying to get closer to the baton-juggling Heartless. It looked like an entertainer more than anything. She wondered what sort of trouble it would cause as well...
Kazega moves to I8.

"Excuse me." Chris muttered as she moved past Tenkai to reach a better positioning. There was no doubt in her mind that the tall Heartless the Card Dealer had summoned would need to be taken down fairly quickly. With most of their party consisting of spell casters, there was one skill she had in mind that would help end this sooner.
With the freakishly tall Heartless in sight, Chris snapped, a small surge of energy flying forward. Though no one else could see it (at leas that she could tell) the Telekinetic could only smile as she watched the energy reach the thing's personal bubble. However, the moment it collided with the air around the creature, a veil of mana appeared around it. The energy began to worm its way into the veil, a small crack being made.
If this worked, soon that veil would be gone and the blasted Heartless would be subject to a whole new world of magical pain.

"Excuse me." Chris muttered as she moved past Tenkai to reach a better positioning. There was no doubt in her mind that the tall Heartless the Card Dealer had summoned would need to be taken down fairly quickly. With most of their party consisting of spell casters, there was one skill she had in mind that would help end this sooner.
With the freakishly tall Heartless in sight, Chris snapped, a small surge of energy flying forward. Though no one else could see it (at leas that she could tell) the Telekinetic could only smile as she watched the energy reach the thing's personal bubble. However, the moment it collided with the air around the creature, a veil of mana appeared around it. The energy began to worm its way into the veil, a small crack being made.
If this worked, soon that veil would be gone and the blasted Heartless would be subject to a whole new world of magical pain.

Cold air swirled downward to the ground and solidified. Ice then began to run along the earth, straight for the tall, lanky Heartless. Stopping right below it, there was a pause where nothing happened. Suddenly, a giant ice stalagmite burst up, piercing the creature straight through. Ryas flicked her wrist, causing several more icicles to spear up from the ground, stabbing the Heartless in various parts of his lower body. She lowered her hand and the ice retracted back into the ground before vanishing.

Alice took two quickly and tossed them at the pianist. The two cards whizzed through the air with incredible speed and an unpredictable pattern, clashing against the barrier the woman had created with her music. "I have been ready for a long time. I have been watching your battle patterns. You are nothing but predictable to me. Your loss is inevitable," she stated simply, not as a joke, but as if it were set in stone--a fact that had already been established. The card dealer tilted her head to the side to gaze stoically at Ryas before taking two cards lazily from the arch and hurling them at the witch. They had unpredictable trajectories as well, but the barrier prevented maximal damage from being dealt.
"The question is," Alice began to say, her gaze still on Ryas despite the comment being more fittingly directed at Clara,"are you ready to face the darkness?"

The keyblade wielder thought that she would be the main target for Alice considering how abilities to conquer Heartless, but it seemed she was taking a much more strategical stance on things. She might be the most dangerous one yet, Trinity thought as she rushed to Ryas's aid. She remembered Kalaya and her arrogance, trying to take out the king without addressing those who were assisting him. Then there was Aruu who tried to use sheer power to overwhelm them, but wound up losing in the end. And now there was Alice. Her words were straightforward, and not so much arrogant as genuinely sure. It gave Trinity the chills. Taking a small vial from her pocket, she uncapped it and handed it off to Ryas. "Antidote. Don't know how the cards did it, but you definitely seem...unwell," Trinity said, trying to think of a word to describe the witch.

Her muscles became liberated from their tension and she could feel the blood flowing through her as precisely as the winds themselves. With this extra power, she aimed to take out the towering Heartless as soon as possible, just as the others were. Even though Trinity wasn't in danger it seemed at the moment, she still couldn't stand to see Ryas or Clara or any of the others hurt either. She remembered what she had said to Tenkai on the tower...

Their enemy hardly did anything and yet the Pianist felt like this was going to be a very difficult fight. The feeling only grew when the strange Heartless slammed its batons down onto Tenkai, who had attacked and failed to inflict anything on it. Despite the feeling though, Clara would not let herself falter and quickly transitioned into a tune that the Card Dealer might choose to comment on.
Clara casts Revitalizing Rhapsody on the Ally Party! Bestows Regen and Mp Regen!
But it didn't matter what she said, if anything. It did not matter if her tactics were redundant, it kept the party from falling. As long as it contributed to those who she fought with, that was all that mattered. It was then that the Card Dealer's question reached her, at least it seemed like it was meant for her. "If that is what it takes to defeat you." Clara stated softly, knowing that that might be what they would have to do. Face darkness itself to get rid of Alice, the Heartless, and whoever else threatened the worlds.
Chris nearly cursed as the veil of energy repaired itself and her energy fizzled out, a frown forming deep on her face. If that was not going to work out, she would have to try something else. Raising her right arm, she clenched her hand into a fist and brought it down quickly. It was a shame the prior magic had not worked in her favor, but it was almost compensating to see a large bolt of lightning come down on the Heartless.

"If we weren't," Ryas murmured in reply to the card Dealer's inquiry, her iridescent eyes still focused on the Heartless. She made no move to acknowledge the other woman, save for her words, nor did she seem to feel the effects of her attacks. "We would not be here." Again, the witch flicked her wrist and, again, ice stalagmites thrust up into the juggling Heartless. It had great vitality, she would admit to that. Lowering her arm caused the icicles to retract once more and Ryas tilted her head at Trinity in what seemed to be thanks.

Trinity lowered her keyblade, hating how much mana it took out of her just to perform the spell, but she would need to keep it up for as long as she had to. Alice obviously wasn't going to back down, and seemed way too keen for her own good.

Kazega used the wind to move her right next to the fleeing Heartless, granted it was merely taking a reprieve to surely amplify its attacks with the flames. Regardless, with expert turns of her wrist, Kazega spun one of her fans around and around growing faster and faster before bringing it close to the Heartless so that it slashed the thing over and over. She found that there was no way she would be able to lift the foe, so she promptly switched over to her other fan and sliced away with it as well. The wind had caused her to ascend with the attack, and she landed gracefully on her feet. She also noted that her winds, regardless of how strong they were, were having difficulty knocking the tall Heartless around. It was simply too heavy, so she knew she would be an easy target for its melee attacks. Keeping that in mind, she braced herself for whatever was to come, determined not to meet the fate Alice had in mind.

Clara nearly slammed down on the keys as the cards battered against the much stronger barrier she created. She had never been one for battle itself, but she had agreed to come along at the beginning of this journey anyway. As a result, she had gained quite a bit of experience, but this moment was a first. To be targeted above the others was something that had only happened in brief moments where either the enemies failed to reach her or were of little threat. This was an entirely different matter.
"Thank you, Trinity." Clara spoke calmly, however her eyes were focused on the Card Dealer that had attacked her. As the party knew, the Pianist was never one to have a 'proper' outburst; even when she was mad she hardly raised her voice. Her voice was not raised this time, but was something different altogether. "I do believe that even if you were to best us, our light would shine far too bright for your darkness to overcome." she stated, just as calmly as she had when she spoke to her friend.
"However," she added, "you will not beat us." At this her tune became completely original, unlike anything she had played before. It was played with a less flowing manner, though that could likely be attributed to her emotional state. The effects however, were far different than the usual music she brought into battle. Yes, they were far different than usual, as lasers of pure light actually fired from the barrier and shot at the Card Dealer (and to a similar extent her Heartless).
"I won't allow you to."

The deep frown set on her face dug that much deeper as she got closer, able to feel the heat from where she was standing. It was far too dangerous to let the Heartless keep those things on fire; there was no telling what it could possibly do if it continued. Focusing in on the fire, the Telekinetic raised her hands and let them fall. Instantly a small shower began above the creature before letting go entirely, a sphere of water cascading afterwards.

"A light that shines too bright?" Alice mused for a moment, turning her back on the pianist to check up on her Heartless only to notice that it was taking quite a beating. She drew two cards from her deck and fiddled around with them in her free hand expertly. "And what if that light does shine too brightly? To the point where there are...repercussions?" With a flick of her wrist, she sent the two cards flying back, sawing through the air until they crashed into Clara's barrier once again. "The power of light. It is amazing, but if there can be too much of the darkness..." she started to say, pausing for a moment to focus on Tenkai. She drew a diamond shape in the air with a single finger, after walking closer to her intended target, and snapped causing it to glow red in color. Actual diamond began to encase the assassin's feet, creeping up her leg and torso until eventually, her entire body was nothing more than a diamond statue. "...can there not also be too much of the light?"

Planning on targeting the assassin that had so debilitated it with a heavy poison of some sorts, it noted that Alice had already made short work of her. Instead, it turned its attention to Kazega and bent over slightly, bashing away at the wind maiden with its batons rather fluidly. Even while attacking her, it still appeared as though it were juggling the batons. The water left the fire extinguished, but had failed to truly cling to its form. "Barking up that tree again, huh?" she snapped, raising her keyblade with the point glowing in light. Another bell appeared above Clara and bestowed another shower of golden sparkles down upon her, taking care of her most recently sustained injuries. "Don't go around comparing the light to the darkness!" Her arms were shaking slightly. Everyone was fighting for the light. She remembered the King. He had to possess a great amount of light within him and there was nothing wrong. But why did she feel so uneasy at Alice's words? Was it because she actually sounded like she knew something by speaking them? Maybe it was just that, but she still couldn't be right...

Her eyes darted to Trinity. The wind maiden could sense that something was wrong with her--they had such a close link. "There haven't been any repercussions so far. So stow it," Kazega put bluntly, a little taken aback at herself, but that didn't mean she didn't think that this Alice, Dealer of the Cards was full of bull shit.

"A light that shines too bright?" Alice mused for a moment, turning her back on the pianist to check up on her Heartless only to notice that it was taking quite a beating. She drew two cards from her deck and fiddled around with them in her free hand expertly. "And what if that light does shine too brightly? To the point where there are...repercussions?" With a flick of her wrist, she sent the two cards flying back, sawing through the air until they crashed into Clara's barrier once again. "The power of light. It is amazing, but if there can be too much of the darkness..." she started to say, pausing for a moment to focus on Tenkai. She drew a diamond shape in the air with a single finger, after walking closer to her intended target, and snapped causing it to glow red in color. Actual diamond began to encase the assassin's feet, creeping up her leg and torso until eventually, her entire body was nothing more than a diamond statue. "...can there not also be too much of the light?"

Planning on targeting the assassin that had so debilitated it with a heavy poison of some sorts, it noted that Alice had already made short work of her. Instead, it turned its attention to Kazega and bent over slightly, bashing away at the wind maiden with its batons rather fluidly. Even while attacking her, it still appeared as though it were juggling the batons. The water left the fire extinguished, but had failed to truly cling to its form. Tenkai had clearly been having too much fun with her new claws. However, Ryas would admit to their usefulness. They had inflicted a grave ailment to the Heartless, which was rapidly depleting its vitality. Raising a hand, she gathered her mana, focusing on the assassin. Orange light swirled around the petrified woman before seeping in and, after the proceeding light show that ensued, Tenkai was returned to her normal state. In her normal mind, she would have had the urge to leave the assassin as she was but, at the moment, it was natural for her to help the woman.
[Ryas] casts Cleanse on [Tenkai]. Petrify is removed!

Relieved of her ailment, Tenkai almost stumbled. Almost. Frowning at the bright lights that still surrounded her, the assassin waved the annoyances out of her face. Turning her red eye to the card dealer, Tenkai flexed her claws. There was no way in hell she was going to just let this go. Entangling the woman in her wires, Tenkai launched herself at the card dealer.

"You know, I almost miss you screaming at us," the assassin commented in a bored tone, sending a swift glance at Ryas. The witch made no indication of hearing her. Tenkai shrugged, sighing as she shook her head. "See what I mean?" This time, Ryas sent her a glance. Tenkai raised an eyebrow.
"You're wasting time," the witch stated tonelessly. And that was it.

It was strange, how Alice's words affected her. It was not a feeling of correctness, no, it was far from that. In fact the burning that filled her being was rather a feeling of wanting nothing more than counter the Card Dealer. To put her in her proper place, and show her that what she was suggesting was ridiculous. But Clara could not counter Alice, not because she had nothing to say but rather because she caught sight of Trinity. The Keyblade Wielder seemed to be off of her game in just the slightest after hearing the right wrong Alice's words; she was even shaking slightly.
"Don't mind her, Trinity." Clara called out to her friend, truly concerned for how she was feeling now; she had not seen the girl in a state like this, at least not that she could remember. Hopefully that advice, despite how small it was, would alleviate whatever worries the older girl had. "She's just trying to throw us off our game!" the Pianist added, her hands lifting from her instrument and finding themselves retrieving an antidote. She had not realized it at first, but now that she was not focused on blasting the woman, she found out just what the Card Dealer had been doing.
Clara uses an Antidote on herself! Clara is cured of her Severe Poisoning!
Chris casts Power of the Mind: Psychokinetic Torture on Tricky! 15 Hits! 22 Int Damage per Hit! 40% Chance of Critical Hit!
Chris ignored the continuous back and forth between the Pianist and the Card Dealer. What was going on with the large Heartless was more important. Thanks to Tenkai's new claws, the thing was now being drained of its health quickly, a very handy side effect. If she was calculating correctly, the thing would die off soon enough, but she could still make it go faster. The sooner this thing was gone the better.
"Try this on for size." Chris muttered, eyes squinting in concentration, a vein popping out on her forehead. With a quick snap of her hands, a powerful surge of mana flew at the Heartless and suddenly millions of little explosions went off around the four miniature heads. But it was not like the fire attack the Telekinetic had displayed in prior skirmishes, no this was different. There were far more and whatever they were doing, it had to hurt. A lot.

"Foolish." Amidst the chaos of her Heartless on the brink of demise and her getting attacked, she noticed that the barriers bestowed upon everyone by Clara had faded meaning the pianist herself vulnerable. Without even looking at the girl and her instrument, Alice tossed several cards into the air, spinning along and diving right for Clara, cutting her skin and infecting her with some kind of poison which only served to worsen with each card that cut her. "The pillar of support must crumble. It is a cardinal rule when taking on a team such as yours. I need not 'throw you off your game.' Winning is as simple as strategy," she stated simply in that knowing tone of hers. It was a welcome relief to arrogance or sarcasm, but also served to be a bit creepy and annoying.
"I wonder why all warriors of light choose to traverse this horrid path," Alice stated aloud to no one in particular. "It seems like such a shame to throw your life away. The precedents prove that the light prevails against the darkness, but for how long would that cycle continue? This is a sign of evolution; darkness has grown and learned from its weaknesses. It is our turn to overtake the light. It's still not too late to turn away from it, you know?" She cast her glance to Ryas now, as nonchalant as could be.

There was not much time left. The Trickmaster raised its batons into the air once more, catching them alight. Using the last bits of its energy, it placed the batons together and aimed down at the wind maiden who had been troubling it so. Three blazing spheres of fire shot out in quick succession, striking her with ease and even burning her skin. It would be a lasting impression after the Trickmaster took its final bow.

"Clara!!!" Trinity shouted out as the cards had dealt their damage leaving the pianist to slip away. She had just managed to calm Trinity down a bit with her words, but Alice just had to snuff out everything that got in the way. Rushing past the rock, Trinity stopped near Clara's organ, moving her hand around in her bag looking for something to help the poor girl out with. She managed to produce a crystal that would be able to help. She just had to get a bit closer. How could this woman kill and then spout nonsense like everything was normal?! Was this fear she was feeling? How? How could it be? She had faced so much before now and she felt so strong. Now, she felt like her fate would be determined by a card game where Alice knew every possible outcome. No, she had to rely on the light. The light would make her strong...the light would keep her strong...

"Allow me to do at least a little something about those defenses," Kazega said simply, dodging away from the large Heartless as it collapsed to the ground in a mass of shadows. She skirted around the nearby rock and hurled her fans as she did, the things soaring through the air and curving inwards to strike only to be blocked by Alice's large card shield. Catching the fans, she tossed them again. Even if they didn't strike Alice directly, the fans would definitely be able to weaken the shield, or at least she thought that would be the case. "That thing is going to be annoying..." she murmured to herself, taking a glance over to Trinity, worried about both her and Clara. Alice was being too systematic for her own good. She wouldn't be able to take the rest of them out that quickly.

"Foolish." Amidst the chaos of her Heartless on the brink of demise and her getting attacked, she noticed that the barriers bestowed upon everyone by Clara had faded meaning the pianist herself vulnerable. Without even looking at the girl and her instrument, Alice tossed several cards into the air, spinning along and diving right for Clara, cutting her skin and infecting her with some kind of poison which only served to worsen with each card that cut her. "The pillar of support must crumble. It is a cardinal rule when taking on a team such as yours. I need not 'throw you off your game.' Winning is as simple as strategy," she stated simply in that knowing tone of hers. It was a welcome relief to arrogance or sarcasm, but also served to be a bit creepy and annoying.
"I wonder why all warriors of light choose to traverse this horrid path," Alice stated aloud to no one in particular. "It seems like such a shame to throw your life away. The precedents prove that the light prevails against the darkness, but for how long would that cycle continue? This is a sign of evolution; darkness has grown and learned from its weaknesses. It is our turn to overtake the light. It's still not too late to turn away from it, you know?" She cast her glance to Ryas now, as nonchalant as could be.

Using the last bits of its energy, it placed the batons together and aimed down at the wind maiden who had been troubling it so. Three blazing spheres of fire shot out in quick succession, striking her with ease and even burning her skin. It would be a lasting impression after the Trickmaster took its final bow.

At least she knew what she was doing, even if it was bad for them. This was a battle and not all battles were about brute force. In a way, Ryas could respect her for that. However, this meant their situation was the worst they've faced so far. The card dealer had power behind her tactics but they still outnumbered her six to one, though the pianist was down for the moment. As long as they held out, they could win this. With a wave of her hand, Ryas soothed the wind maiden of her wounds, but not of her burn. She would have to deal with that later.

With the Heartless dead and gone, all they needed to do was focus the card dealer. Tenkai had no complaints and rushed over to her side. That damned shield of hers nullified quite a bit of damage but from the looks of it, Kazega's new fans had done their work and lowered the card dealer's defenses. It was unfortunate the wind maiden hadn't been able to do it earlier but that was just how things were.

She didn't have enough mana to utilize the same skill as before but she could still attack. And, if they were lucky, her claws could inflict upon the woman a random ailment. Clara slammed on the keys of her organ as the cards came flying at her, only to have the first two of them shatter her shield entirely. Unable to call upon the barrier a second time, the remaining two cards flicked in her direction quickly cut into her; the poisons immediately entering her system. In the end, it was too much for her and she slumped over her instrument defeated. There was no way she could put up with any more punishment, especially with the poison burning her veins.
"I'm sorry..." Clara whispered, knowing she should have pulled up another barrier for her and her allies. The poisoning she had received would not have been able to be dealt with afterward. But instead she had chosen to cure it, not thinking that the Card Dealer would be able to finish her off; a risky decision which ended badly. But Trinity was coming with a Life Crystal, one of the two that they had, which would hopefully fix this mess.
"You made a pretty big mistake." Chris offered to the Card Dealer plainly, having watched the little battle between the woman and her ally the whole time. "You could have dealt with the actual threats, but instead you slaughtered a harmless girl." she continued, still in an emotionless manner. It was a shame Clara had fallen, but that was to be quickly remedied soon enough; and when she was standing again the Card Dealer would be put through hell. "I mean honestly, we can do without her support fairly well. Seems like an utter waste of energy, but I suppose you have your reasons." the Telekinetic added with a shrug, snapping her fingers as she finished.
A small burst of energy that once again, the Telekinetic assumed only she could see appeared at her fingertips. With a quick gesture towards the Card Dealer the energy bolted off, making a small chink in the woman's own magic veil. "I just hope you can explain your defeat to your boss," Chris moved back, "Drakna, wasn't it?"

"I don't make mistakes." Alice tread forth across the solemn dirt path and looked at the fairly rattled Trinity. It was too obvious that she was going to bring back the pianist from her current state of death. It was here that she drew another diamond in the air and snapped her fingers, the symbol glowing red. Diamond began to encase Trinity's feet and crawled up her legs. Alice couldn't help but to feel a wave of deja vu as she remembered the time in the Dragonscar Garden. This time, however, there would be no mercy no matter how much the others praised her, telling her she won. She already knew she had one. "As you can clearly see, I will not have to explain myself to Drakna, for I will not lose," she stated as she gestured to the newly created diamond Trinity statue. "You see, in times like these, it is best to keep your mouth shut unless you really know what you're talking about."
Alice snapped her fingers again causing a sudden symbol of the spade suite glowed black in the air. A faint outline of the same symbol appeared on the ground below Ryas and suddenly filled in with black color, except it wasn't that there was black filling, it was because there was suddenly no ground there, and Ryas found herself at the bottom of a spade-shaped hole. "Do you not see that I have each and every one of you figured out? It would be best for you to give up now such that you don't waste your energy."

It was a disaster. Alice was playing them like...well, a bunch of cards. As much as she hated to admit it, the card dealer was extremely knowledgeable about them and their own strategies. Every move they made seemed to be expected. There was nothing that could throw Alice off her game. She was always so stoic and knowing. However, Kazega had a plan. She rushed forth making sure not to fall into the hole that Ryas had fallen into, but instead stopped beside it. The woman waved down casually at Ryas before turning her attention to Alice. "I get the slight feeling you don't know everything about us," she said slyly, her expression as indifferent as Alice's. Kazega prepared her fans and began to wave them around. The winds were quick to fall into her command, whirling and spinning until they attempted to form a concentrated sphere around Alice to prevent her from moving.

A faint outline of the same symbol appeared on the ground below Ryas and suddenly filled in with black color, except it wasn't that there was black filling, it was because there was suddenly no ground there, and Ryas found herself at the bottom of a spade-shaped hole. "Do you not see that I have each and every one of you figured out? It would be best for you to give up now such that you don't waste your energy."

It was a disaster. Alice was playing them like...well, a bunch of cards. As much as she hated to admit it, the card dealer was extremely knowledgeable about them and their own strategies. Every move they made seemed to be expected. There was nothing that could throw Alice off her game. She was always so stoic and knowing. However, Kazega had a plan. She rushed forth making sure not to fall into the hole that Ryas had fallen into, but instead stopped beside it. The woman waved down casually at Ryas before turning her attention to Alice. "I get the slight feeling you don't know everything about us," she said slyly, her expression as indifferent as Alice's. Kazega prepared her fans and began to wave them around. The winds were quick to fall into her command, whirling and spinning until they attempted to form a concentrated sphere around Alice to prevent her from moving.
"You're not the only one with tricks up their sleeve, Dealer of the Cards."

A part of Ryas, the part that was usually unrestrained and liked to rage, twitched to life. But only for a moment. It was quickly suppressed when her magic swirled around her, calming her. Unfortunately, she could not help her allies the way she was. For now, she would have to try and leave the hole she was in. Seeing as how she was supposedly standing at the hole's bottom, it meant there was actually a bottom.
Cold air swirled up around her before settling to the ground and then ice began to gather beneath her feet. Ryas experimented a bit, seeing if she could make the ice do as she willed it. Soon enough, an ice pillar was forming below her feet and steadily growing. She would be out of this hole soon, though it was still going rather slowly. As if in response to that, the ring around her finger began to glow and the growth of the ice increased until she was back to the surface in a matter of seconds. Her colored eyes were quick to land on Trinity and it was clear what she was to do.
As for Tenkai, well, she was doing what she wanted.

Honestly, Tenkai couldn't understand why they were wasting time talking. Flickering over to where the card dealer was, she struck once more. If the card dealer thought her beneath her notice, she really didn't care at this point. She was more interested in what her claws could do. Besides, at this point, status ailments were their best bet. Especially when they considered the constant shield surrounding the woman. It was unfortunate no one in their group could get rid of it.
Oh. That was an idea.

Still, it was the thought in the action that counted most, and the Pianist could only hope that someone could save the Keyblade Wielder at the very least. Unable to fight off the poison burning through her entirely, Clara's eyes finally closed. "Just... close my eyes... when I open them again... everything will be alright..."

A dark cloud surrounded Chris, crackling with crimson lightning. It grasped hold of her and poured rage into every fiber of her being. Alice took a hop back and drew five cards quickly from her deck, fanning them out in front of her as she landed. Tossing the cards into the air, they quickly enlarged and targeted each of Alice's enemies, even the petrified Trinity in hopes of destroying her statue putting her out of this particular match for good.

Kazega's face was one of pure shock. The large card cut her. She could her the tearing of the fabric of her kimono. She could feel the burning sensation as the open air rushed into the wound. She could feel the warm trickle of blood as it ran along her pale skin from the cut. However, her eyes could only focus on Trinity as the card hit her statue with such force that it crumbled. Alidaire's Keyblade wielder...was gone. Stunned beyond anything, Kazega said nothing. Her body became as wind in an instant, and the winds all around the area picked up. They were so strong that it would be whipping hair and loose clothing, and it threatened to snap some of the limbs clean off of the dead tree in-between the two roads that branched off from the main one.
Kazega waits.

This was not good. Again, a curling rage rose in Ryas' chest and, again, it was pushed down. At the moment, she needed to heal the damage that was done to herself. Glancing at Kazega, it was clear she was preparing to rush over to where Clara was and revive her. They desperately needed the protective shield the pianist could provide. Things were looking bleak at this point. With Trinity gone and Chris enraged, they needed to somehow survive.
Already preparing her healing spell, Ryas suddenly paused. She then took another look around, feeling as if she had missed something. Sure enough, there it was. The psychic was brimming with some sort of energy and Ryas was reminded of the times the psychic was suddenly able to move swifter than usual. This seemed to be one of those times. With that thought in her clear mind, the witch changed her healing spell to that of a cleansing one and directed it toward the psychic.
[Ryas] casts Cleanse on [Chris]. Berserk is removed!

Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she returned her attention to the battle at hand. It seemed trying to damage the card dealer was now out of the question. The best they could do was wait it out and see. She would have thought about praying but she wasn't a holy person. However, seeing Ryas clear the psychic of her ailment, it seemed there was hope yet.

Without a word, the assassin slashed at the barrier, pushing as far as she could just to scratch at the card dealer. Ailments were rather hard to inflict on the woman. But this was the best she could do at this point and Tenkai found this didn't bother her as much as it should have. The realization made her shrug to herself a little.There were a lot of things that didn't bother her after all. This shouldn't have come as much of a surprise. Then again, she also didn't have Ryas taunting her about it.
