Chris felt rage suddenly bubble up inside of her after the Card Dealer's attack faded, but soon the red was cleared from her eyes. She felt... calm. "Thank you, Ryas." Chris nodded in the witch's direction before a powerful surge of psychic energies overtook her body. A slight lift from the ground and Chris was probably at her most powerful; just in time to at least ward of impending doom.
Chris' R-Ability, Psychic Celerity, activates! Haste is bestowed until Chris' Hp is above 50%!
Chris moves to K1!
With energy coursing through her, did not have to move to get around their enemy, but rather teleported right next to her and the fallen Pianist. The fire that had been in Chris' eyes was back with a vengeance as she glared at the offender, she was about to regret facing them. "Bitch." Chris hissed, focusing with all of her might to cause the most damage possible. Inside the Card Dealer's head, constant miniature explosions occurred over and over again; this time the woman would definitely be feeling some hurt. "Brutish enough?"
Chris casts Power of the Mind: Psychokinetic Torture on Alice! 15 Hits! 22 Int Damage per Hit! Damage is increased by Deshell! 40% Chance of Critical Hit!
The second her part of the spell had finished, Chris relaxed, calming herself once more. Ignoring the target for now, she looked down at the shattered remains of Trinity. Just by the Telekinetic's feet was a single crystal that was different from the rest: a life crystal. Reaching down to pick the item up, Chris looked over to the fallen Pianist. "Now then," the Telekinetic whispered to herself before pressing the crystal to the girl's head.
Chris uses a Life Crystal on Clara! Clara is revived with 9 Hp!
The moment the crystal touched Clara's head, a bright light shone and the crystal dissolved into the girl. The Telekinetic relaxed as she saw the girl sit up, her mind obviously in a daze; her visage became one of pure horror as she realized that the statue of Trinity had been destroyed. "My god-"
"No time, we need some help!" Chris snapped, watching as the girl quickly played the notes that conjured powerful lights. Quickly the lights form the familiar, life saving barriers that the group so desperately needed at the time. Chris smiled, just barely, relaxing only slightly as she shot a wary look at the Card Dealer.
Clara took note of this, allowing herself her own proud smile as she looked upon the rather heavily damaged Card Dealer. "I'm sorry to disappoint, but you won't win that easily."

Alice uses Dealer's Kiss on Chris! [Target ATK and INT -20%]
MP: 549/625
"I still fail to see what you have to be smiling over," Alice put bluntly with a grimace as she violently kicked a few pieces of Trinity's broken statue causing them to scatter. The card dealer sighed and placed her hand to her lips in a kiss before holding the palm out and blowing it towards Chris. The weakening effect would be felt instantly. Alice turned her back on the scattered pieces of diamond and walked away from the group slightly, drawing a heart out to the side with her finger and snapping the fingers of her other hand causing the symbol to glow. The heart glowed with a red light and a pink mist surrounded Tenkai causing her to lose control of herself, wanting nothing more than to serve Alice. That was the only thing that could pass through her mind. "About time you put those weapons to better use," Alice stated simply and pointed over to Ryas and Kazega. "Go. I can handle these two quite fine on my own."

Clara uses a potion on herself! +20 Hp!
Clara quaked, her smile fading as Tenkai was turned against them to take out Kazega and Alice had done something to Chris. It did not seem damaging, but no doubt it was doing something to the Telekinetic; she was brimming with rage, but her aura was weaker than earlier. Unable to do anything to fix the problem, Clara reached into her dress pocket and pulled out a potion. Best to stay standing while she had the chance.
Chris on the other hand, was in deed brimming with absolute rage. The woman had mocked her with a kiss, but what aggravated the Telekinetic more than that was the fact that her power was pretty heavily diminished. There was only a few abilities that could possibly turn this around now, and at this point she had no convictions about using them.
Chris moves to H1!
Without a word spoken to the Card Dealer, Chris simply glared upon the woman before holding out her hand. A quick flick of the wrist followed up by a closing of the palm suddenly caused a surge of energy to surround the woman and pinpoint on her head. Chris' fist wavered and shook as she held her grip before she dropped her hand, allowing the energy to attack all at once. The the damage was considerably less than her previous attack, the energy was able to pierce right through her natural defenses; even more so since the woman's magical barrier was shattered.
Chris activates her D-Ability, Never Again, on Alice! 38 Pierce Int Damage! Damage is increased by Deshell! High Chance of Confusion!
However just as the attack faded, Chris thrust her hand out again, causing a swirl of energy to surround the woman once more. However, this was different, for it took on a violet hue before seeping past her shield and sinking straight into her head through any available opening. It was not the most pleasant sight, but if it worked they would be free of Alice's torment. "I hope this works..."

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Okay. That was it.
Screw the calm.
"What the fuck." Blue mist swirled around her as her mana began to react wildly in response to her emotions. "What the fuck." Teeth gritted, crowns scrapping against each other. "What the fuck." Hands clenched into fists, her entire body shaking now. "What the fucking hell." Eyes snapped up and pupils dilated. "You have got to be fucking SHITTING ME!" With a monstrous growl, Ryas threw her hand at Tenkai, sending a flying ball of orange mana at the assassin. The ball burst upon impacting her face and Tenkai made a noise of what resembled pain as her hand reached up to grasp at her only visible eye.
[Ryas] casts Cleanse on [Tenkai]. Charm is removed!

"I will say it again because, holy shit, it needs to be repeated," Ryas seethed, glaring with the heat of molten lava. A wall of fire had burst up behind her, reflecting her rage. "You have got to be fucking SHITTING ME, TENKAI! You, of all people, were charmed?! Are you kidding me? How the FUCK DO YOU GET CHARMED!?" The witch threw her hands up in the air, grasping at it as if wrangling someone's neck. "And you know what else you did? YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE YOU FUCKING DID!?" A block of ice materialized in her hand and she threw it to the ground before proceeding to stomp at it repeatedly. "YOU. STRUCK. KAZEGA. DOWN."
"YOU FUCKING RETARD!!!" Tenkai was still a little disoriented but her reflexes allowed her to dodge the incoming ice that was flung at her. "THIS BATTLE IS GOING SHITTY ENOUGH ALREADY!! NO NEED FOR YOU TO ADD TO OUR MOTHERFUCKING PROBLEMS, YOU DICKWAD!!" Here, the assassin was forced to stand her ground as the ground trembled beneath her. "LOOK AT HER. HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET CHARMED BY HER?!" Tenkai followed the direction the witch's finger was pointing at and took a moment to stare at the card dealer.
"Actually-" the assassin began but was promptly made to shut up so she could jump over a large ball of fire.
"SHUT UP, I DON'T NEED TO KNOW HOW YOUR TWISTED MIND THINKS!" Ryas raged, already preparing another fireball to launch in quick succession at the woman. "I fall into a hole. Piano Fingers falls. Kazega's down. But you know what the worst part is? YOU KNOW WHAT THE WORST PART IS?!" Tenkai could only stare in reply and, instead of the fireballs launching themselves at the assassin, they flew up into the air and burst like a mockery of fireworks. "TRINITY'S BROKEN!! SHE IS BROKEN AND EVEN IF WE SOMEHOW WON THIS BATTLE WITH A CHOCK FULL OF BULLSHIT MIRACLE, WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO BRING HER BACK!!"
Ryas' Pawn had flown far, far away from the witch at this point, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire. And, by the looks of it, the witch still wasn't done.
"WE. HAVE LOST. OUR KEYBLADE WIELDER. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THAT MEANS?!"
There was an incredibly long pause.
Slowly, almost hesitantly, Tenkai spoke. "Trinity's not lost forever. We can still find a way." As the words left her mouth, the assassin found herself dodging yet another spell from the witch, this time a water ball that was intent on attaching to her head and drowning her. Ryas then released one final roar, thunder raining down around her.
"AND NOW, I LOST THE MOTHERFUCKING GAME! CAN THIS DAY GET ANY WORSE?!"
Silence.
"You," Ryas pointed at Tenkai, somehow still having the breath within her to speak despite the raging fit she had just had. "Are going to get in there as soon as possible and do something that won't screw us over. Am I understood?"
Tenkai could only reply with, "Crystal."
Screw the calm.

"To think that on the verge of death you try so hard," Alice said aloud simply, a dark aura starting to form around her. She went as if to shuffle her cards again, but before they could land in a stack in her other hand, they remained levitating in the air all around her. "Tenacity, that which can only be bragged about by mere cockroaches. Allow me to put you out of your misery." Alice stepped to the side with surprising agility and turned on Chris, snatching two cards that were floating around her and tossing them with immense precision. Taking another card within her reach, she hurled the thing straight into the ground and watched as a line of huge cards burst out along the ground until one rose up to strike Chris at full force.
"One by one, you will drop. Embrace your demise now, and perhaps things won't be so hopeless when the darkness comes to take you away," she added, crossing her arms over her chest. Actually taking the time to think, she realized just how hopeless they really were, this motley group of 'warriors of light.' Oh what am I going to do with them...?

"Chris!" Clara shouted as the Telekinetic fell to the Card Dealer's brutal assault. She had only tried to save them, yet failed despite the very valiant effort. Half their party was entirely decimated; the other half in shambles. "Is it really lost?" the young Pianst thought as she played her most basic tune. There was nothing else she could do... maybe it really was lost. Maybe the darkness would overcome the light...

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"Oh my god," Ryas groaned loudly, smacking her hands over her glasses. "Again with the fucking darkness. Why does she always have to mention the fucking darkness?" It got annoying as shit after a while and she had always hated the distinction between light and dark. God, couldn't they just respect her decision to not care about this shit? But nooooo. Everything she did was either light or dark. Never fucking inbetween! Or, better yet, none at all.
This was hopeless. Completely and utterly hopeless. The fucking bitch would probably talk about the darkness until the end of their days. Dropping her hands from her face, the witch stomped over so she was in line with the card dealer.
[Ryas] moves to [H-7].
Seriously, it was fucking ridiculous. It was six against one. They had a six against one party. How the fuck did they get decimated so fucking quickly? Was this woman on steroids? What the fuck was up with her skills? Snarling at nothing in particular, the witch slammed her foot against the ground.
[Ryas casts Quake. [Alice] is hit. 27 Earth INT DMG. Chance of Immobilize.
MP: 15/80
[Tenkai] moves to [I-1].
Honestly, Tenkai had to agree with Ryas on this one. How did she get charmed? How embarrassing. She would have to make up for it somehow. Oh, how she hated blunders, especially her own.
[Tenkai] attacks [Alice]. 27 ATK DMG. 2 hits. Chance of Inflicting a Random Status Ailment.

"It is because you do not realize how important the darkness is at this moment, Ryas Noa," Alice shot immediately towards the witch. There was no mistaking a sense of urgency in her voice which was the closest thing to emotion she had expressed since they started fighting. "You will come to understand in due time, no matter how drastic the measures must be." She picked more cards, taking two and slicing Tenkai close range before taking two at her sides and loosing them into the air where they soared high before descending at a sharp angle to take out the pianist which left just Ryas to be untouched by an attack for the moment. "Neither side seems to realize that walking the path between will save the world in actuality. Guess we're both too prideful to admit to working with the other. Such tense feelings on both sides..." Alice muttered indifferently, raising her hands into the air and unleashing her cards upwards in a mighty flurry while her eyes focused on Ryas's. She shook her head. "I will definitely be there to see your face when you learn the truth. Until then..." Alice snapped her fingers causing all the cards to instantly stop in midair as if they were frozen in time. Lowering her hand caused some of the cards to fall instantly, dropping down on the remaining 'warriors of light' like guillotines. There would be no survivors.

Alice's dark aura faded away and she allowed her cards to form a whole deck again as they fell from the sky and stacked one on top of the other in her outstretched hand. The woman ignored the wounded around her and walked to where the Vorpal Sword was being kept. She waved her hand causing the dark cards around it to disperse and vanish. Reaching down, she pulled the sword out of the ground and walked over to Ryas who would definitely still be conscious for now. She tossed the sword down in front of the witch before turning to face the scattered diamond remnants of what used to be Trinity. Alice sighed and snapped her fingers. Every single diamond fragment began to glow with dark energy, and with some intense focus, Alice began to reassemble the statue, sealing the pieces together with dark power. It took some time, maybe even enough time for the others to regain consciousness. Alice waved a hand causing the dark energy to disperse before clenching that hand into a fist causing the diamond to shatter into a fine dust. In but a single moment, she was over where Trinity was, catching the keyblade wielder as she fell. Alice knelt upon her knees and held Trinity.
"So pathetic," Alice stated simply, lowering her head and placing her lips gently upon Trinity's. She kept her eyes opened and watched as Trinity drowsily opened her own.
"A-Alice..." Trinity murmured warily, but she couldn't move. Her body still felt stiff. It would apparently take time before the effects of the petrify completely wore off, but who had put her back together? Who had saved her from permanent oblivion? Was it really...Alice?
"Shut up and take it easy," Alice replied bluntly, lying the woman on the ground before standing up and heading back to the path. "It seems that your light couldn't outshine the darkness, but unfortunately for this universe, your light is not the only we must worry about. There will come a time when you all fully understand Drakna's plight, and perhaps then you may even regret going against him. He says I am not at liberty to speak of why he wishes to accomplish his ambitions. It will be something you will have to ask him yourself. Find yourself lucky that I find that you deserve to know before you die." The card dealer shrugged her shoulders and merely began to walk away, speaking as she did so. "While you have some spare time, riddle me this: why is it that the darkness that is evil? Is it impossible for good to come from darkness? Perhaps you will tell me when we meet again. The fates seemed to have intertwined our destinies. Until next time, farewell." With that, she disappeared on down the road, leaving the party to recover and think about what had just happened.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Ryas gritted her teeth and, instead of ducking and covering her head, she stood her ground and allowed the cards to rain down on her. Her pawn tried valiantly to deflect deflect the attacks but could only stand for so much damage. Blood dripped as the cards sliced through her clothing and skin, pain racking through her body. When the attack ended, the witch was somehow still standing and she let the breath she had been holding slowly.
That had hurt like a bitch.
Spitting out a glob of blood that had rose up her throat, she then wiped her mouth and just barely registered the sword being thrown in front of her. A snarl crept onto her face and she wanted to kick the weapon down and never look at it again. Though this was why they had come, Ryas wanted nothing more than for the thing to disappear from her sight. After a moment of glaring at the weapon, Ryas gave into her urge to kick the thing, knocking it out of its place in the ground. She hated this. Hated how the card dealer had shown them mercy.
After all the shit she spewed out of her rotten mouth, the card dealer had let them live. She had even repaired the broken Trinity. Ryas wasn't grateful. She wasn't happy. She was absolutely furious. They lost, they should have died. They should have been dead. But no. Their 'enemy' had to show them mercy, of all things. This was absolute bullshit and Ryas had had enough.
Tenkai had awoken by the time Alice restored Trinity. Seeing the card dealer, a wave of bloodlust erupted from her being but upon meeting the witch's eyes, the assassin restrained it. Rising back onto her feet, Tenkai brushed the dirt off her clothing and readjusted her mask. Taking another good look at Ryas, she was surprised by the sheer amount of blood covering the woman. However, from the flowing mana that was circling around the witch, it was clear she was already healing the damage.
"Well, wasn't that a rush," Tenkai spoke once the card dealer had disappeared from their line of sight, something akin to amusement in her voice.
"I fucking despise that little bitch," Ryas hissed, nails digging into her palms. "I hate how she looks at us. At me. Why does she keep doing that? I expected her to find more interest in the Keyblade wielder."
"Well, you see, when one woman finds another woman attractive, they can't help but keep their eyes on that woman," Tenkai drawled in explanation and Ryas sent her a look that showed exactly how much she wanted to punch the assassin's lights out. Tenkai shrugged, unaffected by the look. "At least she hasn't kidnapped you and tried to do things that are best left unmentioned."
The sheer look of horror that crossed Ryas' face was worth the series of fireballs that were launched at her.
That had hurt like a bitch.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Clara had slammed on the keys of her organ the second the Card Dealer turned on her to make her assault. The barrier quickly surrounded her, but failed to protect her as the cards made easy work of it. The rain of cards had only cut into her body further, leaving her a bloody mess. But somehow the Pianist was able to remain standing; or rather... whatever term could effectively describe her seated positioning.
What Clara was feeling did not, however, have to do with her poor physical condition. If she felt based on that, then maybe just maybe she would not be feeling this terrible. She had been so certain they would have been able to beat the Card Dealer and help protect this world from further advances made by the Heartless. But they failed... they failed and instead of being shown whatever it was the Card Dealer had in mind for them, they were gifted with mercy. She should have been feeling relief, but all she could possibly feel was regret.
Their best efforts were rewarded with defeat and pity. And it hurt... it hurt so much more than any other moment had. Even when they fell in the passageway, it had not felt like this. That moment felt like being freed and more of a lesson; though it was painful at the time it healed soon after. This pain was different. Riddled with shame, regret, and utter embarrassment; this would not heal quickly... if it even healed at all.
Chris remained unconscious throughout the ordeal; so much to the point that the Pianist almost envied her. Though the state would not last, it protected her from the pain of this loss. But the Pianist was very much an optimist; and not knowing Chris only served to leave her ignorant, for the Telekinetic was going through her own torture.
The nightmare again.
And again, and again, and again.
Only this time, he never approached; she was all alone. And it sucked.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"G-guys....I can't move...," Trinity called out weakly to the others. She couldn't even summon her keyblades for some reason. The winds suddenly picked up. What she couldn't see was a bloody Kazega rising from the ground, her eyes vacant. Her body soared through the air across the path to reach Trinity's form. Trinity watched as the woman scooped her up with surprising ease. She knew Kazega wasn't the physically strongest around. The wind maiden glissaded over to where the others stood so that Trinity could see and talk to them more easily. "Thanks, Kazega." Her eyes glanced down at the sword lying there. "Is...is that it? The Vorpal Sword? So she just gave it to us in the end? Why couldn't she have just done that from the beginning," Trinity said miserably. What was the point in beating them to near death if she was just going to hand the sword over anyway?
Kazega remained silent when she was thanked. She didn't say anything. Blood trickled down the side of her face and coated her kimono. Her gaze remained vacant. No thoughts passed through her mind. She may as well have been unconscious, but her body was still acting. Moving. Breathing. Not really blinking. Her eyes just focused on some unknown point in the distance. Staring.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"I don't know..." Clara murmured, her eyes drawn to the Vorpal Sword that the Card Dealer had left. The blade was probably the reason this hurt so much more, and yet the Pianist could not help but feel a bit of relief from it. The right Alice would be able to possibly survive the battle that awaited her now, even if the party disagreed with her fighting. "But... Alice... the right Alice, won't die because of us." Clara whispered, mostly to herself; not that she was not sure of her statement, but because it was only a small victory overall.
If it could even be called one.
If it could even be called one.
Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
God, their group was miserable. Running ahand through her loose hair, the hairband had snapped during the card attack, Ryas made a face at the wet feeling of blood in her hair. he needed a shower. Why didn't she take one when she had the chance? Oh right. She was sleeping.
"Look, guys," the witch began, grimacing. She wasn't any good with peptalk and she wasn't going to start now. "Let's stop thinking about it and go. We're wasting time here. We can brood about it when we get back to the castle." Ryas then sighed, disgruntled. "I can't believe this. How humiliating."
"We'll just have to pay her back tenfold," Tenkai said, the only sign of her displeasure being the slight crease in her mask that resembled a frown. "Though, I am curious as to what she meant." Ryas made a noise of disgust, choosing to glare at the ground.
"Whatever it is, I don't care," the witch spat, kicking the dirt.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"Y-yeah...." Trinity agreed, wanting to get back to the castle so she and the others could get some rest. If they ran into any Heartless now, or card soldiers, they wouldn't be receiving any mercy. "We still have our lives...so let's not take that for granted, as embarrassing as it may be," she added, looking up at Kazega's vacant face. "Will you be all right carrying me back to the castle? I still can't move my limbs well at all..." She tried to move a finger for emphasis only to have the very tip wiggle ever so slightly. When they got back to the castle, all Trinity was going to do was lie down in bed and sleep. She was stiff and she was exhausted to no end. She kind of wanted to take a bath first, but there was no way she could bathe herself.
Kazega had merely nodded in response to Trinity's question and said nothing.
Trinity touched the wind maiden's face gently to get her attention. She watched as Kazega placed an ear to her mouth. "Do you...do you mind helping me with a bath when we get back? I don't think I could do it myself. The warm water might help me loosen up...," she whispered into Kazega's ear with a light blush on her cheeks.
Kazega pulled back and nodded her head again, looking straight out into the distance once more.
Slightly perturbed by Kazega's odd demeanor, Trinity sighed. "If everyone is set, let's go." With that, the group retreated back to the castle with the Vorpal Sword in their possession and the weight of a horrible defeat weighing on their shoulders.
The party made it back to the main entrance of the castle without running into a single Heartless or card soldier which was fortunate enough. "Can one of you take the Vorpal Sword to the queen? Kazega's going to keep watch over me until I regain my mobility," she requested of her allies. She hadn't seen who had picked up the sword, so she didn't know who was holding onto it now. In the back of her mind, she hoped Ryas wouldn't volunteer. Her and the queen didn't seem to mesh very well.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"There's that." Clara murmured in agreement, forcing herself to her feet; her organ vanished as she made her way over to the unconscious Telekinetic. The Pianist found moving to be a near impossible feat, one that included a huge amount of screaming from her muscles as they fought against the achy pain that had imbedded itself in her system. Despite this she still kept on moving in her own sort of daze, making her way over to the psychic before performing an action between kneeling and collapsing. Said action only helping to wake the forcibly sleeping girl who was shaking her state of unconsciousness, anymore so and it would appear she was having a seizure.
"Wake up now," the Pianist urged quietly, placing her hands on the Telekinetic's shoulders to stop her from shaking. Though the words seemed to have little effect the feeling of hands on her shoulders caused Chris to stir. After a moment her eyes were open and she gasped just a little; barely stifling the involuntary intake of air, just enough to keep his name from passing her lips. Clara, however, did not say anything of her awakening and merely stood, offering her hand to her freshly woken ally. Chris denied the hand and stood on her own, psychic energies surrounding her; out of them all she would likely be in the best shape with the energies healing her. She would be back to normal by the time they got back, at least physically.
The Telekinetic did not say anything about this, however, and moved away from the Pianist. Clara sighed slightly, noticing the Vorpal Sword was still planted in the ground and moved over to the blade. Lifting it from the earth that it was planted in was thankfully not as hard as she had expected it would be. It was also surprisingly light, though she loosened her grip and felt it fall rather heavily towards the earth. Whatever powers the sword possessed it likely made it easy for whoever held it to wield it, an attribute the Pianist was thankful for.
The walk back to the castle was not eventful fortunately, but it was harmful for the spirit; defeat was not an easy thing to come back from. Especially one as biting as this one. Getting to the castle was a relief though, it meant they could recuperate from this. And when Trinity asked if one of them could handle taking the sword to the Queen, Clara was quick to step up; she had been carrying it anyway, no need to thrust it upon someone else. "I'll go." she murmured quickly, her grip on the blade tightening slightly as walked on into the castle. Not a moment after she entered she was lucky to find an attendant of the White Queen, one who could point her in the right direction. "Excuse me, do you know where I could find the Queen?"
"I'll go with her." Chris quickly added, not exactly wanting to go with the Pianist but rather wanting to avoid the party. Not so much Trinity and Kazega, but the Witch and the Assassin for sure; the Witch for her temper, the Assassin for her... well everything. Chris too quickly headed into the castle, but did not follow the retreating figure of Clara; instead taking the opposite turn and heading for their wing again. Best to get some sleep.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
The attendant bowed his head to Clara and gestured in the direction of the audience chamber. "You will find Her Majesty in the audience chamber. She has anxiously awaited for your return. She will be relieved to see that you are safe." With that, he bowed his head one more time and straightened his posture a bit more.
Trinity had murmured a word of thanks to the others for their understanding before having Kazega walk her to the West Wing, up the stairs and to one room that seemed to be unoccupied. Kazega said nothing as she carried Trinity into the bathroom, setting her down on the floor and propping her up against the wall. The wind maiden turned the faucets on, making sure the water was nice and hot subconsciously, for she was still very much in her trance-like state. She moved over to Trinity and placed a hand on the shoulder of her dress, but hesitated. Trinity gave her a nod of affirmation and the woman proceeded to slip Trinity's arm out of the sleeve before moving to the other one and taking it out as well. Kazega helped Trinity out of the dress and undid her bra saving the undergarments for last. Even with Trinity's approval, she hesitated, but eventually did it anyway, her mind still devoid of true thought. Scooping the keyblade wielder up carefully, Kazega set her down in the tub which was quickly filling with hot water. She turned the faucet off and stood at attention, blood no longer trickling down her face, but instead just staining her skin with dark crimson from where the blood had dried.
Trinity smiled gently before patting the water. "You're supposed to get in too," she said in a soft voice, trying to sound natural despite the severe worry she felt for Kazega. The woman was acting the way she had when they had first met--vacant and without emotion. Trinity turned her head quickly as Kazega flagrantly stripped down. She felt as the wind maiden sat down in the tub behind Trinity. Trinity spotted the soap and a wash rag. The water was already helping her muscles become less tense, and she found herself able to move her arms around a bit more easily. "Can you lather up the rag and help me wash?" Trinity asked sheepishly, but just as she expected, Kazega obediently obliged.
"I'm sorry, Trinity," Kazega said suddenly in an oddly emotionless voice. She grabbed the rag and used the soap to lather it up, rubbing the rag against Trinity's back which wasn't too particularly dirty. She cleaned Trinity's shoulders, taking the rag and rubbing it up and down the woman's arms slowly.
"Wh-what are you sorry about? Don't be silly," Trinity replied, a light blush on her pale cheeks. She could feel Kazega getting closer to her, and her eyes shot wide open as she could feel Kazega's breasts firmly pressing against her back.
Kazega moved the rag up to Trinity's face and wiped the grime away gently. "I'm sorry for not being strong enough," she stated simply, moving the rag down to Trinity's neck before finding its way to her chest.
Trinity felt like her face was on fire even though she knew Kazega was just being helpful. "You don't have to apologize for that. You are strong, Kazega. Alice, as much as I hate to say it, was just stronger than all of us put together. We played right in her hands...we were nothing but cards to her," Trinity replied solemnly, a grimace forming on her face. The wound of defeat was still fresh in her mind. She had hoped to not have to recall it too often this soon. Kazega had finished rubbing her down for the most part, and Trinity could move her arms easily enough. "Trade places with me."
Backing off and standing up, Kazega hopped out of the tub and let Trinity slide back before taking a place in front of her. "I want to be stronger. I want to be strong enough to tear that woman limb from limb. Though it was mercy she had showed us today, there is something seriously wrong with her," she said, starting to sound like herself again. She even allowed herself a subtle sigh. She sat there in silence and let Trinity wash the dirt and blood off of her body. She felt a weird sensation inside of her which made her feel nostalgic for whatever reason. Something warm and salty was trickling out of her eyes. Was she crying? She felt a hand touch her cheek gently and her head turned to face Trinity.
"Oh Kazega...," Trinity whispered, her heart melting at the sight of the tears. She watched as Kazega turned around in the tub and fell into Trinity, wrapping her arms around the keyblade wielder. Trinity felt the blood rush to her face but ignored the feeling and instead returned Kazega's embrace, rubbing the woman's back gently as she cried for a reason she didn't fully understand.

Clara nodded in response to the helpful attendant, murmuring a word of thanks as she turned in the direction he had pointed her in. Sword in hand, she picked up her pace as much as her weary body would allow and without any thought in her head but giving the sword back entered the audience chamber. "Your Majesty?" the Pianist spoke at a loud volume for the first time since their rather embarrassing defeat. "I believe this belongs to you." she added, holding the sword out as she made her way over to the Queen.
Chris had gotten herself settled into one of the many rooms just prior to hearing Trinity and Kazega walk past to get into an empty room. The Telekinetic faintly heard the sound of running water coming from just a little bit down the hall before she closed the door. She quickly locked it as well, the Assassin would likely be able to break it down, but at least it was not open this time. No one else would just barge in, though there was not anyone else who bothered her so.
With that minor reassurance in the back of her mind, Chris sat down on the bed; her energies were just now fading, showing that she was almost fully healed. It would not be much longer and then the only reminders of their loss would be the blood that stained her clothes and body. She instantly stood up at this, causing the energy to spark just a bit before calming down, and shrugged her way out of her gear and went into the bathroom.
Unlike her two allies, Chris did not stay very long nor did she fill the tub. She merely sat there, letting the water run and took a rag to the blood, wiping it away with a rather rough manner. As soon as her skin was free of the substance, she quickly ran fingers through her hair before collecting water in her hands and pouring it over her head. And as before, as soon as it was all gone as far as she could tell she was done, stepping out of the tub and wrapping a towel around her. She briefly waved at the clothing she had discarded and watched as invisible energies performed a similar procedure to the articles. In less time then she had been in there her clothes were not only free of blood, but were also perfectly dry.
Chris of course just slipped into the clothing yet again, noticing a few tears here and there; obviously those cards had cut in deep enough to rip her new get up. But it did not bother her, she could have it mended later, or maybe just get new things to replace it altogether. And like that, just as quickly as the clothes were on her mind, they were out of it; she took a seat on her bed once again but did not fall back as she had done previously. She had gotten quite enough sleep after Alice, the wrong Alice, had finished her off and it was safe to say that the Telekinetic would be experiencing insomnia for quite some time afterwards. So she just sat there, eyes closed, trying to block the entire memory out.
It quickly became clear this would not just go away.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Upon returning to the castle, the first thing Ryas did was walk straight for the West Wing, ahead of Trinity and Kazega. She walked quickly and purposely, wanting nothing to do with seeing the Queen. The witch had no doubt she would snap at the woman and then threaten bodily harm on her being. As much as she wanted to do soand damn the consequences, she couldn't, however. Ryas clicked her tongue in annoyance, scowling darkly and picked up the pace.
Reaching the room she had used previously, the witch stepped inside and, with as much force as possible, slammed the door shut behind her. Her pawn doll flinched at the loud echoing noise the slam created, floating a little away from its mistress' head. It had followed after her as quickly as it could have and had nearly gotten caught in the door, escaping by just a hair's breadth. The pawn was, surprisingly enough, free of scratches and and any other deformities despite the force of the attacks it had had to endure. Then again, Ryas' magic had ensured its slow restoration during their journey back.
Unable to stand being in bloodied clothing-dried ones at that-any longer, Ryas wasted no time and pulling her shirt up and off her body, tossing it onto the floor. It was quickly followed by her bra and then her pants and underwear, the last two being kicked somewhere to the side. The sweater she never wore had already fallen to the floor when she pulled off her shirt. Now nude, the witch stomped her way over to the bathroom and, once again, proceeded to slam the door shut behind her. Her pawn did not follow this time, torn between guarding the door just in case or picking up the thrown clothing so they weren't all over the place.
Its dilemma then solved itself as a hand covered in black reached down to pick up the bloodied shirt. Tenkai looked down at the object in amusement, giving the pawn a raised eyebrow. The chess piece waved its shield threateningly but was ignored. The assassin proceeded to pick up the rest of the clothing off the floor before walking over to the wall next to the bathroom door and leaning against it. She then pulled out a needle and some thread, though how she did it was a mystery. Delicately, the threaded the needle and, hanging all but the shirt over an arm, began to stitch the tears closed.
Meanwhile, Ryas had turned on the water for the baths and grabbed a towel off the rack after finishing her other needs. Now she was just waiting for the tub to fill up, which was not happening fast enough in her opinion. With a growl of frustration, the witch conjured up a pitcher of water and let it pour into the tub, watching the container fill up before stopping the flow and turning off the facet. Dipping a finger in the liquid, Ryas heaved a sigh. Snapping her fingers, fire burst into life underneath the tub and, without pausing, the witch snapped inside. It still wasn't warm enough but she had no intention of standing around nude any longer. The water would heat up in a bit anyway. Ryas then kicked the other end of the tub.
"Now, now, Ryas," Tenkai chided from the other side of the wall, having heard the noise foot against tub caused. "Are you alright in there? If you would like, I can come inside and wash your back for you." Ryas just kicked the tub harder in response, a seemingly permanent scowl plastered on her face. The assassin shook her head, still sewing despite her focus being elsewhere. "Are you still angry about the Alice thing?"
"Which one?" Ryas grumbled despite knowing full well the assassin meant the so-called Champion. She made a noise of anger and slammed her hand against the surface of the water, causing a splash and ripples to form. Some of the water ended up flying over the edges. "I hate this. I hate this so fucking much! Nothing's going our way. Nothing! I'm sick of being pulled into things I want nothing to do with! I would rather be stranded with you than be on this retarded journey of light and darkness!"
"Oh dear," Tenkai hummed, the corner of her mouth twitching upward. "You better not let the others hear you. I expect they would appreciate none of your words. Especially Trinity." She mock sighed. "And to think, you two were starting to get along so well."
"Whatever," Ryas grumbled and, deeming the water warm enough, stopped the fire with a flick of her finger at the water. She was silent now, thinking to herself. After a long moment, she spoke, "You're regaining your powers, right?"
"As are you," Tenkai replied without missing a beat. Ryas ignored the sudden urge to slap the woman. She was too far anyway and leave her bath? Hell to the fuck no.
"I'll try to keep the others from lynching you," the witch offered dryly, using the towel to wash herself. She wrinkled her nose in disgust as the sheer amount of dirt and grime on her body. God, it sucked not having the ability to wash whenever they wanted to.
Tenkai was surprised. "How kind of you." Her eye softened ever so slightly. "Thank you." And she meant it.
"Better than Serenity going holy on my ass," Ryas whispered, shuddering. Ever since the woman met Tenkai, she had turned into those people that just never stopped smiling. Even when she had someone bleeding their innards out right in front of her, she would just smile and talk about how 'it's okay, you're going to a better place now.'
Creepy closet sadist.
"Wait, you're not stitching weird patterns on my clothing, are you?" Ryas suddenly demanded, suspicious. Tenkai paused in her sewing and looked down. If she looked at them from the rut angles, the stitching seemed to read 'oh baby', 'kiss me', and 'take me, take me now!' of course, they were so small, only people who had their nose against the fabric or incredible eyesight could see it.
"Of course not," the assassin lied smoothly, knotting the thread and breaking the string. She then switched out the shirt for the pants to fix that one instead.
But Ryas knew Tenkai all too well.
"DAMN IT TENKAI!"

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
The White Queen rose from her seat in the audience chamber and elegantly stepped closer to Clara, her arms extended on each side in her dainty manner. She took the handle of the weapon and placed her other hand under the blade, lifting it carefully away from the pianist. She shook her head. "No, this Vorpal Sword does not belong to me. This belongs to our champion, Alice," she corrected with a soft smile. She walked the sword back to her throne and placed it over the arms before turning back to Clara. "You have my thanks for risking your lives for us. As outsiders, you could have merely spectated, but instead you actively became involved, even if you did not like the way things had to be," she explained with Ryas on the mind concerning the last bit of her statement. The White Queen held her hands out with the palms up and, in a flash of light, a long chain appeared. It looked to be made out of the same material the Vorpal Sword was made from. She presented it to Clara.
"Here, take this as a token of my gratitude. When the Vorpal Sword was first found, it was hanging from a sole chain in a dark cavern. This is the very chain from which it hung, said to possess a power that could counteract the Vorpal Sword's effect," the White Queen said, still smiling. "I'd like for you to have it. I will not take 'no' for an answer."

Trinity had held Kazega for a long time, rubbing her smooth back and stroking her hair. Eventually, the wind maiden snapped out of it and the duo finished washing their bodies and their hair. Letting the water drain and stepping out of the tub, they donned towels and found a couple of chairs in which to sit in the bedroom. "Are you feeling a bit better? You definitely look a lot better without all that blood," Trinity teased Kazega as she allowed the cool air of the room to dry her off.
"Y-yes...I'm sorry to have broken down like that," Kazega replied, her voice hardly audible, but the room was silent enough that Trinity could hear loud and clear.
"I told you that you don't have to apologize. We all need to cry sometimes. You know, the ones who hold it back the most are the strongest, but they're also the ones that really need to cry the most because of the burdens they have to bear," Trinity said, offering Kazega a warm smile which appeared to cause the wind maiden to smile in return which was something the woman didn't do too often. It made her look radiant and warm. Trinity blushed a bit.
"It's silly, but I had forgotten all about crying. For a while, I didn't know I could..." Kazega's voice trailed off. She just remembered the warm, salty tears forming of their own accord. The sudden realization that she was crying. Letting those very tears fall upon Trinity's comforting shoulder.
"Well, now you know you can, so feel free to do it anytime. And you've always got my shoulder to do it on."
Kazega was reassured by Trinity's statement, but she still couldn't help but feel that something was off. Whenever she tried to delve deeper into it, however, her head seemed to pang with a slight ache. Maybe it has something to do with my missing memories...

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Clara mentally sighed in relief upon having the sword taken from her. Having it in her possession had not been terrible, but it was not hers to carry around and be responsible for. Knowing it was safe with the White Queen and did not have the possibility of being taken from her was calming. That did not stop the Pianist's lips from pursing slightly upon being corrected about who the blade belonged to; though Clara was quick to undo the action. She still did not fully agree that Alice should be the one to fight, but the party agreed that this was not their world and they were not allowed to meddle with the way things worked.
Clara made the slightest turn to leave after the Queen turned to place the sword away, but instantly turned back around completely upon seeing the Queen turn back. "You have my thanks for risking your lives for us. As outsiders, you could have merely spectated, but instead you actively became involved, even if you did not like the way things had to be," the latter explained. For a moment Clara wondered if the woman had noticed her lips pursing earlier, but then realized that the comment was likely for Ryas. Out of all of them she had been probably the most against Alice going into battle. It was then that the Queen held her hands out and a chain similar to the Vorpal Sword appeared in hand before it was presented to Clara with an ever present smile.
The Pianist hesitated for the slightest bit before nodding and taking the chain from the monarch. "We could never have spectated," Clara responded quietly, "it would have been wrong for us to. The one who had the Vorpal Sword in her possession was a problem of our own; one that we need to fix..." Clara's voice began to waver, the memory of defeat still fresh in her mind, but she was quick to steel herself for the moment with a simple shake of her head. "Thank you, I am sure that the chain will be of great use to us." Clara added a little more loudly than before. With that she turned to leave, only to quickly turn back around "And thank you for allowing us to stay here and recuperate, it is most appreciated."
And with that she turned back around and left the audience chamber.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
"I'm in the bath for five minutes and you've already mutilated my clothing!" Ryas raged as she took a good look at said clothing. "God damn it, what the hell is wrong with you? Why can't you just do something normal for once!" The witch was currently standing in the middle of her room wearing only a towel while Tenkai pretended to look at her nails, which was impossible considering her outfit covered her hands. "Next chance we get, I'm playing a new shirt and pants. I refuse to wear this shit any longer than I have to."
"Come now Ryas, it's barely noticeable," the assassin stated, not looking up from her clothed hands. Ryas sent her scathing look before stomping over to the bed to grab her bra and panties. Spinning on her heel, she stomped back over to the bathroom and, with every piece of her outfit in hand, slammed the door shut behind her. The slam echoed through the room and even spilled into the halls due to the amount of force put into it.
Tenkai immediately lowered her hand and shrugged her shoulders while shaking her head. Clearly the woman wanted to be left alone. Tenkai had no qualms in leaving the witch by herself since they were in a safe zone but really, there wasn't anything for her to do. She didn't quite feel like dancing around the other members at the moment. In fact, she felt rather lethargic. Lazy.
Tenkai almost laughed.
Flicking a speck of dust from her dress, she turned and left the room. She felt like taking a walk.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Trinity and Kazega chattered a bit more to each other about trivial things such as how Trinity's family would be holding up without her. It had been a while since she had seen them. Even before leaving Alidaire, she was forced to flee from Altinor so that her family would not be targeted by the Heartless because of her presence there. It was difficult for Kazega to relate; the woman had no family of her own, at least none that she could remember which to Trinity was one of the saddest things she had ever heard. When it came to conversation, Kazega was a great listener, mainly because she didn't have too much to talk about herself with hardly any memories, though when she gave her opinion on things, it was often interesting. Trinity always felt liberated when talking to Kazega. There was just something about her; it was as if Trinity could tell her anything, not that the keyblade wielder had many secrets to divulge.
Regardless of how pleasant it was, the idle talk ended and the duo got dressed. However, they were both at a loss as to what to do exactly. How long would Alice be gone? Trinity became aware of the fact that she didn't even know how far away the Red Queen's castle was. It might be days before she gets back, Trinity thought as she walked aimlessly through the castle walls. She had parted ways with Kazega who decided to go up to the tower again that she had visited before. The view was delightful, or so she had said. She invited Trinity up, but the height reminded Trinity of the time she had fallen out of her bedroom window the night she had received the keyblade. As such, Trinity was doomed to meander through the white corridors of the castle's ground floor. She wound up walking into the entrance area where the Cheshire Cat was loitering about, talking to what appeared to be life-sized animated chess pieces: a knight and a rook. She wondered what they could be talking about, but decided to leave them be. Walking towards the East Wing of the castle, Trinity pondered how the chess pieces were animated like that. As far as it seemed, Wonderland was a land of magic, so it wasn't that surprising. She actually thought it was quite cool. I really need something to do... she thought to herself in discontent as she continued walking.
Kazega sat perched upon the railing of the tower she had visited before. The afternoon was growing late. It had been an eventful day. Her long, white hair wasn't quite all dry yet, but the breeze was quite strong now. She felt herself smiling as it caressed her skin tenderly. The affinity she shared with the wind was something she couldn't understand. She figured it had something to do with the life she had before her memory was lost, and that made her ever more so curious about what her life had been like. What secrets were hidden from her within the veil that shrouded her mind relentlessly? The frown gracing her face melted into a slight frown. Would she ever get her memories back? Staring out across the lovely courtyard of the White Castle and off into the distance, she realized that the life she knew before all of this might not ever come back to her. "Do I even want it back, I wonder," Kazega whispered aloud, her words being carried off into the air by the breeze.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
In the end, she wore the clothes.
Ryas felt humiliated.
Then, she decided not to think about it too much. It wasn't like it mattered. Sure it would piss her off if someone were to notice and point it out but that meant she could unleash her rage on them. She could live with it. Besides, she could always buy some new clothing, considering she hadn't changed out of her old shirt and pants in what seemed like forever. Unlike the rest of the group.
The thought slightly irked the witch.
Ryas calmly opened the door to her chosen room and stepped out. For a moment, she paused at the doorway. She had no idea what to do. No, actually, she did. There was just one problem.
Where the fuck was the library?
"FUCK!" unable to restrain herself, Ryas spit out the curse and kicked the wall. She didn't want to try explore the huge as place but she didn't want to ask for help either. Talking to someone else would only serve to piss her off further. The witch gritted her teeth before snapping her head to the side. "You." The pawn doll that had been warily keeping its distance from her stiffened in the air and seemed to stand at attention. "Look around and report back to me when you find the library, got it?"
The pawn twirled and eagerly accepted the job. With one last bob in the air, the doll began to float away to explore the rest of the West Wing, leaving Ryas on her own. With no other choice, just sitting around on her ass wasn't going to get anything done, the witch began to walk in the opposite direction. She would have a better chance in the East Wing and searching the same place as her doll was counterproductive. Ryas grimaced. She just hoped no one tried to talk to her along the way.
Meanwhile, with Tenkai. The assassin had ended up outside the castle walls, looking out at the scenery. She had taken a seat on a sleek white bench, her right leg crossing over her left and her hands on her lap like a sophisticated lady. The air surrounding her was silent, eerily so. It was a strange sight, for Tenkai always seemed to have something going on. Now, she seemed empty and almost nonexistent. Even the darkness was still when it seemed to always lick at her feet. It was peaceful. There could be no other word for it.

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
Clara found herself wandering aimlessly throughout the castle after her meeting with the Queen. There was not much the group could really do what with the right Alice away on what Clara could not help but feel was a suicide mission. The Red Queen had been portrayed as an absolutely horrid monarch, and there was no doubt in the organist's mind that if Alice was captured they would not be seeing her again. But the young woman did not speak her worries to anyone she passed by, nor did she seek someone out to spill her guts; complaining would only drain the minor reserves of energy she had left.
Not that the walking she was doing was saving her any, anyway. Then again the walking was solely a means of coping; a way for her to keep occupied and feign that everything was and would be perfectly fine. It was painfully obvious that she was anxious despite this. When one feels massive peaks of emotion it becomes dreadfully hard to place a mask over those feelings. None of the pawns she passed by however mentioned anything and allowed for the distressed organist to continue on her uncharted path through the palace.
For whatever reason it only felt natural for her to end up outside the walls of the castle after making at least one trip around the castle. The change of scenery did little for her, but it shook things up and allowed for some fresh air. Not that she really needed it; every inhalation, be it from inside or out, was rough and uneasy for Clara. Sitting around doing nothing, even though exhausted and depressed, was only making her worry more; her heart aching a little more with each pointless step.
It was at that point that she noticed the assassin sitting on a pristine bench colored very much the same as a vast majority of the White Kingdom. From the distance, the seemingly older woman looked quite unlike how she usually acted. Very ladylike and proper, although these characteristics did not interest the organist much. Instead it was the quiet tranquility that surrounded Tenkai that sparked Clara's curiosity. Even from where she stood the peace around the woman could be felt; a very strong and calming presence that attracted the musician. She closed the gap between them and stood just a few feet from the other.
"Quite a situation..." she whispered, "if it can make the rest of us this distraught and you so... peaceful." Her gaze drifted back to the castle and then to the road out into the rest of Wonderland for a moment. "You think she's alright?"
Whereas Clara had gone to visit the Queen, Chris had ventured off around the castle on her own for a bit, so as to allow everyone to go off on their own ways, before going into the audience chamber herself. She was pleased to find that the aforementioned organist was not still with the woman and that she was the only person from there group there at the moment. The psychic approached the woman very casually, yet did a double-take of her surroundings before proceeding to speak. "Do you have a moment, your majesty?"

Re: Tales of Alidaire: Heart of the World
The presence of the pianist was not a surprise nor was it unwelcome. The fact that she broke the silence, however, was something that irked the assassin. It was as if she couldn't read the atmosphere. It was rare for Tenkai to be silent and even rarer for her to have this tranquil feeling within her. Now it was completely shattered by the other woman's voice. Tenkai quietly clicked her tongue. She supposed she could humor the other for now.
"If you're that worried, why not go out and look?" the assassin suggested, lacing her voice with a hint of curiosity and devoid of malice. It was so easy to make herself seem harmless to the rest of the group. So, very easy. Tenkai really wondered why they felt like they could trust her. After all, she was tainted with so much darkness, the darkness that they steered away from, it was a miracle they hadn't outright attacked her yet.
But she wasn't going to dwell on it for long. At least Ryas still provided her with some entertainment. The thought of the witch brought a slight twitch of her lip. No doubt her companion was off attempting to do something that was bringing her a great amount of frustration.
As if in response to Tenkai's thoughts, Ryas stopped in the middle of the hall she was walking in to release a strangled growl. Why did everything have to be so difficult.
