"Moving snowmen?" Evan repeated, looking up from his place next to Daskar. The two had taken to sitting next to each other and the Dual Blade was now bandaging up the poisoned bite that had been inflicted on the Soul Reaper. His wounds had already healed, so he wasn't worried. Not to mention he wasn't the one poisoned. "I don't know about-Hey, hold still!"

Daskar had shifted at the mention of the snowmen and Evan nearly lost his grip on the bandage. Meaning he would have had to do it all over again. Evan glared at his partner, quickly finishing up the wrapping and ending it with a tight knot.

"You seriously want to go check it out?" the human asked, standing up. Daskar nodded his head, following Evan's movement. The Dual Blade groaned and crossed his arms, huffing slightly. "Alright fine. It better be interesting though."

When the group went outside to investigate the "moving snowmen" they found three such creatures having a jolly old time, throwing snowballs at each other and the other buildings. The street was barren of people, apparently they were too afraid of these creatures to go outside.

"Wah!" Cried a voice behind them. Ange had apparently snuck outside. She held her arms up to her lips in a frightened position. She didn't seem to enjoy looking at the snowmen very much. She turned her back towards them and crouched down, her hands over her head.

When the snowmen saw the group approaching, their coal grins changed into frowns, and they seemed to glare at them angrily, as if they had just disturbed their game. Apparently a fight was in order.

Feline starts at D3.

"What ugly creatures!" Feline cringed as she stared at the abominable snow creatures that were enjoying themselves on the other end of the street, "What kind of a child would mold together such hideous monstrosities!" She spat in disgust.

Luck starts at B4.

Luck sighed and revealed the lighter that he had been holding in his pocket as he glared at the foolish girl that was currently talking trash to the snowmen. Taking out a cigarette, he hastily set it ablaze and placed its edge inside of his lip. He lazily sighed once more and released an ample amount of smoke.

"You. . . You've got to be kidding me," Evan let out a loud, aggravated sigh. "This has got to be-" He was never able to finish that sentence seeing as a snowball had been thrown straight at his face. The Dual Blade stilled before calmly raising a hand and wiping the snow off his face, eyes closed.

Slowly, the human turned to face the Soul Reaper, eyes opening. Daskar stared back, both his hands at his sides. They were silent.

"I should hurt you," Evan stated calmly, breaking the silence between them. Daskar continued to stare for a moment before his eyes seemed to flit to the sides. "But I won't." Evan gave the Soul Reaper a fake smile, the gold in his eyes becoming more pronounced. "Do that again and I'm leaving."

Daskar's lips tightened and he gave a single nod. Evan's smile instantly dropped.

"Good."

"At least try to be serious," Evan muttered at the Soul Reaper, stepping forward so he was in range. Somehow, he just knew his partner wouldn't be able to contain himself.

[Evan] moves to [D-6].

"Alright, first thing's first." Evan readied himself, blades spinning rapidly at his sides. "Time to see what these things can do." Without further warning, he flung his weapons at the snowman in front of him, slicing into the creature.

[Evan] uses Fated Circle on [Cold]. 9 ATK DMG. 2 hits.
MP: 11/20

Catching his weapons, Evan smirked in satisfaction. It quickly disappeared, however, when he realized his weapon was all wet not from the snow. Grumbling, he would clean it off in the Inn later, the Dual Blade turned to Daskar.

"You coming or what?"

Daskar blinked and seemed to perk up, obviously concluding that Evan wasn't mad at him anymore. The Soul Reaper stepped forward, stopping beside the Dual Blade. Evan frowned upon seeing his partner still hadn't drawn his katana.

[Daskar] moves to [E-6].

"You know you're going to be fighting too, right?" he stated to the Soul Reaper. Daskar stared. "No, you are not allowed to play in the snow. Can't you see we have a crisis on our hands right now? Look, I'm still mad at you, okay. Stop looking at me like that! . . . . . Just get to work." Evan sighed, turning away from the Soul Reaper. Hopefully, they wouldn't get frozen.

Feline sighed and sat on the ground, feeling completely out of it after she had realized something devastating, "These creatures are made of ice." She pointed her finger at the abominable beasts.

Luck uses Lucky Draw! Next attack's potency is doubled!

"Sucks for you, Feline." Luck sighed as he tossed his used cigarette into the pile of snow beside him. He then reached into his pocket, shuffled a little, and revealed a single card that seemed to slowly fade away as it was removed from the deck concealed within his pocket.

Malephia rushed up to the snowman, her scimitar raised high into the air as lightning began to run along the blade. Malephia grinned as she swung her blade down, zapping and cutting the snowman at the same time. When she pulled her blade out, Malephia looked over at Nemu, wondering what she would do.

Malephia uses Thunder Blade on Shiver! 12 ATK Lightning DMG!

Nemu smiled as the cool, refreshing breeze lifted her hair, causing it to ride with the wind. She hadn't known what it was like to feel such a wind, and now she did. Regardless, the snowman's intentions were not to please her. Nemu frowned at the snowman and walked up further to it. She raised her blades and sliced through the foul beast multiple times.

"Whoa!"

Evan quickly stabbed his blades into the ground as the snowman slammed into him, gritting his teeth. Pushing the stupid thing off of him, the Dual Blade groaned as he looked down at himself. He was covered in snow now! And because of his body heat, it would melt and his clothes would get all wet!

Glaring at the snowman, Evan ripped his weapons out of the ground. "You'll regret that!" Furious, he clasped his blades together, holding them with both hands, and slashed sideways at the snowman. He quickly brought the swords up and sliced downwards with enough force that the blades sunk into the ground.

[Evan] uses Ground Crash on [Cold]. 10 ATK DMG. 2 hits.
MP: 2/20

Wrenching his blades out, Evan glared at the snowman.

"Take that! You overgrown, frozen popsicle. . . . thing," he ended lamely, realizing that his insult didn't actually make sense. Daskar raised an eyebrow at him and Evan facepalmed. "Forget I said that." Daskar nodded and raised a palm.

[Daskar] casts Life Drain on [Cold]. 3 Piercing INT DMG. Heals 2 HP.
MP: 15/25

As he pulled back the small black orb, the Soul Reaper stared at it, holding it gently between two fingers. He then held it out to Evan. The Dual Blade just gave him a blank stare.

". . . . . . I can't eat that," he finally said when Daskar did not withdraw his hand. Something akin to a frown crossed the Soul Reaper's face but it quickly disappeared. Daskar slowly brought the orb to his lips and slipped it into his mouth, swallowing. Evan gave a twitchy smile. "Thanks for the. . . offer. Anyway."

"Hey hey!!" Feline scolded as the other began their onslaught upon the ferocious snowmen, "Don't just leave me out completely, bastards!!" She then crossed her arms, bent down, and began to cringe as if she was trying to force something out of her body; seconds later, a flurry of pink petals suddenly popped right out of... well... nobody could actually tell. But that doesn't matter, because now, the street was covered with what seemed to be magical petals that were slowly rejuvenating her allies' energy.

Feline casts Petal Circle!

Attempting to ignore Feline's extremely awkward, sudden outburst, Luck lazily jogged towards one of the snowmen and raised his leg up into the air. After showing a quick smirk, he then pushed forward with great force, managing to successfully jab his leg into the unsuspecting beast.

Ange stopped shaking after the snowmen were gone. She couldn't hear those frightening roars the creatures were making any more. She lifted her hands off her head and peered back at the group. They had soundly defeated the beasts without so much as breaking a sweat. A huge smile broke out upon Ange's lips and she jumped to her feet, running over to Evan and giving him a great big bear hug.

"Thank you for killing those monsters sword guy!" Ange shouted happily, only squeezing Evan harder.

"Ange? Ange! Where are you?" A voice called from inside the inn.

"I'm over here daddy!" Ange shouted back, waving a hand towards the door. The inn keeper exited and looked around. He seemed overly surprised when he saw that not only the beasts were gone, but Ange was safe and sound.

"It seems you six have done me yet another favor." The inn keeper said, a grin playing across his lips. "How about I have my chef treat you to a free, delicious meal? Come on inside, it must be cold."

"Yay! Food!" Ange shouted happily, grabbing Evan's hand and attempting to drag him into the inn. Malephia laughed when she saw the scene. A little girl attempting to pull a dangerous and violent Dual Blade into an inn. Nemu only sighed and shook her head, her eyes closed.

"Moron." She muttered, although it was unclear who she was talking about. She looked over at Daskar and shrugged at him before following Malephia into the inn.

As Daskar prodded the 'dead' snowmen with his katana, Evan was staring straight ahead, mind working furiously. It exploded on him. It. Fucking. Exploded. On him. Now he wasn't a Ryas but this. This made him see red. He was wet. He was cold.

"Why you son of a-"

Course, he wasn't able to fully finish that sentence when the kid they had been protecting suddenly launched herself at him, hugging him hard enough to break ribs. Luckily, she wasn't tall enough to reach his ribs but god, his poor waist. Evan winced, hands twitching as they hovered over the small girl. He hated kids. Despised them, actually. What the hell was he suposed to do with a kid hanging off of him?

Snapping his head toward his companions, the Dual Blade tried to convey his distress to them. Though, in the back of his mind, he doubted they would come to his rescue. Evan swore in his mind with curses that would make Ryas proud. As if reading his mind, Daskar raised an eyebrow. Evan glared.

Their staring contest was abruptly cut off, however, when the little girl began tugging at Evan's hand. With wide eyes and a almost comically panicked look on his face, Evan could only stare in horror as he was dragged back into the house. Daskar watched him go and hearing Nemu say something, looked at her. She just shrugged at him and the Soul Reaper tilted his head before following after her.

"Grow a pair and stop bitching like a little girl, Evan." Feline crossed her arms, giving Evan a deadly glare, "Your poor attitude is hilarious, but please, not in front of the children. I love those little creatures!" She set her eyes upon the small child huddling in the corner of the street and ran towards her, arms wide open, "Now give Mommy a hug!"

Luck silently lit another cigarette that he pulled out of what seemed to be an endless pocket. He sighed as he examined Feline as an unfriendly expression spread across his face; he hated kids just as much as Evan did, so he just wandered off into a corner and stared at the wall, attempting to ignore the upset child. He then mumbled something inaudible and let out a puff of gray smoke.

Ange blinked at Feline, dropping Evan's hand when she saw the woman's open arms. Her face lit up in a bright smile as she swung her left hand through the air, hurling a snowball. The ball of hardened ice smacked against Feline's face and exploded, covering her in powdery, wet, snow. Ange giggled madly and dashed inside before Feline could react.

Malephia couldn't hold it in much longer than that. She burst out laughing, clutching her sides in pain. "Oh...Oh my god! I LOVE that kid!" She cackled madly, her eyes squeezed shut from the insane laughter. Nemu sighed again and disappeared into the hut, to which Malephia followed, breaking up in giggles.

Feline's sense of happiness seemed to wash away without warning, just as her sense of control had done. Her face fixed into a rotten position; she glared at the girl's house's door and screamed, "What the fucking hell was that for, you fucking little prick!?"

She then stomped up to the child's location and began to kick it's wall in fits of rage, "Come out here and fight like the twisted demon you truly are, bastard!!"

Minding his own business, Luck attempted to ignore the poisonous words emitting from Feline's mouth by focusing on his cigarette. He breathed in, and out, while staring at the cloudy sky, releasing a puff of smoke in the process.

"Now who's bitching like a girl," Evan grumbled, relieved beyond belief that the little beast had released him. He ignored the fact that Feline was, in fact, a girl. Ignoring Feline's little temper tantrum, Evan followed behind Ange at a safe distance. He had seen what the little girl was capable of and was now extra wary.

Daskar just stared at Feline before looking away and gently pushing Evan's back, as if telling him to move faster. Evan huffed but quickened his pace.

Despite the many curses, insults, and death threats Feline shouted at the door, the inn keeper still insisted on giving them a free meal. He knew that Ange had done something to anger the girl, so it was of no consequence. He introduced himself with the name Horace. He had been in the inn keeping business ever since the death of Ange's mother around 3 years ago. Horace himself seemed to have gone on multiple journeys with his wife throughout the frozen continent, only to stop in this quaint little town where Horace's wife fell ill. It became evident that she wasn't going to survive, so when she died, Horace pulled together all of his travelling expenses and built an inn. Warriors or other travellers who needed rest could find sanctuary here, while filling their bellies with warm pastry and thick soup.

When the chef walked outside with his arms full of food for the six, Horace stood up to help him, placing a large bowl by each one of their guests, along with a steaming muffin that looked like it would fall apart into sugary heaven if you bit into it. The soup was a mixture of broth extracted from a multitude of different herbs and spices, thin noodles, and chunks of bear meat. Fresh barley had been sprinkled on the soup, giving it an even thicker aroma. When the food had been distributed, the chef bowed a little, his wide belly preventing him from giving a proper bow, and left to tend to the kitchen.

Horace sighed as he sat down and watched the travellers in front of him stare at the food they were given. He laughed, "It's alright, go ahead and eat. You all must be hungry after fighting so fiercely."

Seeing all the food on the table, Evan couldn't help but cringe. It brought up some memories he would rather not have remembered. But, seeing as the people here had gone through all the trouble to make this meal for them, Evan ate.

Meanwhile, Daskar silently picked at his food, seeming curious of the meal. It was as if he had never seen anything like it before. Then again, he didn't need to eat anything. Watching Evan eat, the Soul Reaper decided to try it as well, mimicking the Dual Blade's actions.

Feline frowned, "You mean this is for all of us?" She turned her head away from the food, "I'm not eating this shit if that demon has touched it!" She crossed her arms and spat in her serving.

Sighing at Feline's actions, Luck quickly ceased the flame spouting from his cigarette and tossed it into a nearby trash bin. He then silently began to eat without complaints.
