As much as Aer desperately wanted to continue shredding the maid's clothing to get a glimpse of her naked body, he just couldn't ignore the cat girl who was really laying into him. His back felt like it was on fire, so he turned around quickly and tried to slash the girl, only to have her quickly dodge out of the way. He growled. "Dodge this!" He conjured a sphere of solid blue energy and commanded it to descend, but Marya did just what he said: she dodged it by doing a backflip out of the way.

Marya noticed that, though she was able to pretty much dodge the attacks of the enemies, one misstep could force her to end up like Authur. She shivered and became even more determined to rescue the maid, but she would have to take care of herself first. She pulled out a soda, popped it open, and gulped it down quickly. It was surprisingly refreshing and she felt full of fight once again.

"Leave her alone!!" Marya shouted suddenly. She leapt into the air and descended upon the man, wrapping her legs around Aer's neck. She then fell back and landed on her hands while holding the thief aloft in the air before slamming him down hard into the ground. She released her legs and leapt back before performing a frontflip which wound up with her smashing the thief's chest as she landed the acrobatic feat. "Have you had enough?!" she yelled as she got off the thief's chest, her eyes flaring with anger. "Well I haven't!!" She seized the thief roughly by the collar and held him up into the air. With full force, she dug one clawed hand into the man's chest, blood spewing out of his mouth and his eyes widening in horror. As Marya ripped her hand out, blood and entrails spilled out onto the ground from the wound. Marya just dropped the corpse in the pile of its own intestines. She was breathing hard and couldn't believe what she had just done, but no more harm was going to come to this maid; she would make sure of it.

As Marya withstood the barrage of attacks, her fury and madness began to grow. It overtook her mind, her heart, and even her very soul. By the end of the onslaught, her body was quite damaged and her head was facing the ground. Suddenly, she looked up, and all the enemies were instantly afraid. Her gaze was vacant, and a large, creepy smile was plastered on her face, revealing all her teeth now sharpened to points. She laughed eerily, her head snapping back as she did. She entered a battle stance once again.

Marya gutted the thief standing next to her, her face getting right into his as she withdrew her arm. With another laugh, she gave the dying man a vicious uppercut and a kick sending him flying through the air causing him to land roughly on the ground.

~ C R A Z E ~ T R I G G E R ~

As people who are not from Crazed Levall, we are not able to cope with as well with the madness that flows through the air. Thus, that makes us susceptible to the Crazed status. At a certain point, the madness becomes too much and we can execute what is called a Craze Trigger. The Craze Trigger allows us to enter the Crazed status, but only after our Craze Gauge is full. Those who enter the Crazed status gain benefits such as doubled ATK, doubled INT, and an effect similar to the Bubble status in which HP is doubled as well. However, there are repercussions as well, such as DEF and SPR are halved.

Whether or not one is allowed to enter Crazed status depends on how full the Craze Gauge (CG) is at a given point. The Craze Gauge fills depending upon which method a character chooses. Here are the methods:

Killer - Causes Craze Gauge to increase when the character deals damage to enemies. Gains a massive boost when an enemy is defeated.

Guardian - Causes Craze Gauge to increase when allies take damage. Gains a massive boost if an ally becomes KO.

Healer - Causes Craze Gauge to increase when allies are healed. Gains a massive boost if an ally is revived.

Collaborator - Causes Craze Gauge to increase when allies are buffed.

Enervator - Causes Craze Gauge to increase when enemies are debuffed.

Depending on a character's role, one method may be better than another, so choose carefully. Also, when a character leaves the Crazed status, all stats are halved for 3 turns and MP is reduced to 0, so keep this in mind and evaluate which situations require a Craze Trigger and which ones do not.

[NOTE: In your profiles, under the Accessory, put 'Craze Trigger' and which method you want along with what it does. See Marya's profile for an example. Craze Triggers can be activated as long as CG is full and doesn't count as an Act action.]

Marya laughed crazily once more, her howls soaring high into the night sky. Her vacant eyes fell upon the fleeing hound and she gave chase. As she drew near, she leapt and dropped down, foot at the ready, and slammed into the hound's neck. While still airborne, she grabbed it by the head and did an aerial backflip ending with the hound's head smashed into the dirt road, blood and brain matter leaking through its fractured skull.

It pecked at her, but she got up and managed to deliver a few scratches to the thing, though her arms felt so horrible; she wondered if she did any damage at all.

Marya waits.

Marya was really dizzy now. She had tried to fight back too soon. She plopped down on the ground and just sat there. Her vision was becoming blurry, but she could see in the distance the falcon trying to escape. Normally, she would be all over the thing. However, even though the maid's healing was making her feel a bit better, overall, she still felt amazingly weak. There was no way she could stop it in her condition. She just hoped that the consequences would not be too severe.

"You should start feeling a little better now. I'll check on your friend in a bit, you rest. Oh and thank you."

Marya knocked the maid's hand roughly aside and spit out the disgusting liquid. She would have punched the girl in the gut if she wasn't so tired. Slowly, she managed to get up and stumble over to Authurius who didn't look too well. She nudged him gently in the side with her foot. "Authur, get up," she muttered miserably, hoping the guy had some life in him. In the distance, there came a horrid sound. It was reminiscent of the shrieking of many birds. The sound was coming from further up the road in the direction that the fleeing falcon flew. Marya ignored it. She was tired and just wanted to rest at the moment, but she had to make sure about whether or not she had to bury her friend.

"Oh well now. That's no way to treat your friends Marya."

Adriane was over by Authur's side, with another spoonful of medicine ready. Quickly the maid shoved the horrid liquid in the vampire's mouth and quickly forced a swallow. She then proceeded to closing the bottle tightly and putting it back amongst her things. She then turned to the duo and curtsied.

"Thank you so much for coming to my aid. I owe you my life. Thank you."

"Blagh!" God, that would've tasted awful even if he wasn't a vampire! Authur took a last swallow of blood to diminish the horrible taste. He dropped the body and stood, groaning a little when his muscles stretched. Coming back to consciousness must be a little harsher than he'd thought.

"Lady, I must dissuade you from ever coming near my mouth with that vile liquid ever again." Authur affixed her with his worst glare, maybe she would get the message.

"You'll be thanking me later. The Gundershine Miracle Tonic heals wounds and cures most common sicknesses three times faster than normal medicines."

Adriane looked away from the vampire, not caring about the glare. She knew the taste of the medicine was horrible, but what was a bad taste in the mouth compared to horrible injuries and sickness. The shriek of birds in the area became apparent as she turned towards Marya.

"Do you hear that? It sounds like birds... many birds... shrieking in fact..."

Marya had ignored the maid's first statement, still recovering from the strange battle from before. But now, she brought up a good point, for in the distance, are large, dark cloud of....something...was approaching. She immediately took a defensive stance as she realized that it was a large flock of falcons that was heading their way. A few of them were ahead of the crowd and converged upon the trio, squawking and flapping their wings.

"Looks like we're not through yet," she said miserably. Her muscles ached more than they ever had before. She just knew that when they got to Rose, she was going to crash for sure.

Adriane stood behind Marya, she didn't like the look of all of this. The flacons that had appeared first looked tough, and there were others on the way. There was going to be a lot of trouble with this fight. Luckily, she had healing abilities in this world, so hopefully that would get them through this.

"Persistent, aren't they?"

"Really persistent," Marya said glumly and pouted. The bird in the last fight was annoying enough. Now there was a whole army. Could they even take them all out?

Adriane slightly tapped Marya, a smile on her face as her magic rushed from the tips of her fingers. Surely now, these birds would be unable to land a hit on the girl, as she was already quite evasive. Looking over to Authur, she quickly added a note to let him know to stick around.
