Aria said nothing, but curiously watched the shed in the corner. A key would obviously be needed, and one of the foes had it. It was then that she noticed the plant in the center, they would need to stick clear of it. Warming up her singing, she tried her best to get ready for battle.

Layla quickly skidded to a stop behind August and beside Aria. She pressed a hand to her chest, breathing rather heavily. She wasn't used to running like this. As she shifted, the Little Lady winced. That Stop from before had ended up freezing her muscles and they ached. Stretching her limbs, she turned to the plants scattered throughout the area before looking over at the female Zoog.

"Since they're in our way, I don't see any problem in helping you out," she said, looking thoughtful. "Do you remember which one took it? If not, we'll just have to defeat them all." She then noticed the rather large plant in the middle. Curious, she pointed at it. "What is that?"

Loki distractedly positioned himself. Three, four, no, five enemies, he silently counted. He pulled the gloves the creature from the last battle drop from an inner pocket and moved to pull them on, but stopped. Maybe he should wash them first? No helping that now. He tugged them on with the slightest pause of hesitation and flexed his fingers, testing the fit. Time to see how they worked in battle.

Flowers? Well, they weren't the most unusual enemies the knight had faced thus far, but they certainly ranked up there. She set her sights on one in particular and steeled herself for what might be a tedious battle.

In the center of a grove of trees right in the middle of the area was a strange object of some sort. It was moving, sort of like it was breathing, so it must have been some sort of creature. From what anyone could see, it looked like large flower that hasn't bloomed, but instead of beautiful petals, it had thick, leaf-like structures covered in veins that started at the bottom and seemed to be closed around a spherical object of some sort. It was certainly a strange sight.

Vetalia smirked and clapped her hands. "Ah, that's just another experiment," she explained. "It's all about looking at the plants of the early days of Alidaire--around the time of Creation, that is. I was lucky to be able to reproduce such a beauty, though it hasn't revealed to me its full potential." She shook her head sadly. "The point is that it's not out of control, so don't bother it. But if you do, know that you probably won't survive."

Then, he gulped. The thing in the middle of the grove of trees was quite intimidating. "Well, as long as we don't have to take that on, everything should be fine," he noted.

Loki nervously moves forward, skirting the garden and coming to a halt beside one of the plants. He swallowed his worries and slapped the creature. He smiled, pleased with the ease with which the glove was used. He also noted that a fine trace of powder was left on the plant. Not being daunted, he slapped the plant again. "Take this you thieving overgrown weed!"

Seeing Loki attack one of the creatures, Ling was convinced that he could kill it now. He ran next to the plant and stabbed it five times, each time in a different place. He laughed as the plant became lifeless and looked toward the next closest plant. It would be destroyed soon enough.

Aryn moved forward, drawing her blade and causing it to glow with white energy. "Creature, you have a tainted look about you. I'm sorry, but you must be cleansed from this realm." With that, she struck hard at the overgrown flower, not really knowing where a flower was vulnerable but hoping she would hit something vital.

"So we should just avoid that one?" Layla pondered to herself. She quickly snapped back into attention as her allies began to move. She couldn't just hold them back with her musing. Though she was very curious about the plant, she could maybe ask the Zoog about it after the battle. Smiling at the thought, she quickly rushed over to the side where Aryn was.

[Layla] moves to [I-7].

"Here I go!" Layla shouted, planting her feet into the ground. Inhaling, she held it and steadied her hand. With one smooth and swift motion, she sent a single needle straight for the plant across from her.

The mist condensed around the shed and violently repelled Aria away before she could get inside. Vetalia shook her head. "If it was that easy to get in the shed, any old person could steal my precious herbicide," the zoog botanist explained. "I'd think twice before trying that again."

Seeing as how the majority of the party was near the shed, August decided to lend help to his allies around the garden. He held up his staff and pointed it at the flower creature engaged in combat with Aryn. "Watch yourself!" he yelled out in warning as streams of violet flame spurted out of his staff and soared through the air. They traveled over the enemy and then quickly slammed into its back.

Loki stepped over the fallen plant that he tested his weapon on. He stopped before the next plant, the one guarding the door. Solo had already attacked it, so he just slapped the plant twice for good measure.

Upon seeing her attack work, Layla narrowed her eyes, face determined. That one wouldn't bother them for a while. She quickly looked around. The plant Aryn had been attacking had just been struck with fire by August. They didn't need help. She should probably go after the one she was attacking.

[Layla] moves to [F-7].

Stopping in her tracks, Layla was about to attack the plant in the back when she noticed another one to the side. Quickly making a decision, she spun on her heel and planted her feet, aiming for the plant that seemed to be attacking Aria. She held her breath, allowing her to keep herself steady. Slowly, she held a single needle and then sliced the air, sending the needle spiraling toward the plant.

"Aye!" Aryn called back to August. She almost heartened by her comrades help, but would it be enough? To get through this forest, they needed to get a key to a shed so that a Zoog could kill her own experiments. Aryn saw moral dilemmas everywhere in the situation, even in the people she was fighting with. But if she was gaining power, gaining ranks in the Order, was it worth it?

'I barely know these people . . . ' The knight shook her vigorously. It wasn't the time to think, it was the time to fight.

Loki slapped the plant again, then followed up with a backhand. Irritating little creature. He winced at the damage he had taken and decide to back away for a while.

Layla smiled at her success. Two in a row! And by stopping its abilities, she had prevented it from harming any of her allies. Layla gave the field a quick look around. August had most likely roasted the flower she had just disabled and two men by the shed had just taken care of another flower. Adding the one from before which August and Aryn had killed, that left one more and that one was directly in front of her.

Layla frowned, readying herself. The effects of her attack on it was wearing off but she had no doubt they would be able to finish it before it could strike at them. Seeing that it was out of range, the Little Lady took a step forward.

She quickly flung a needle at the plant, the pointy object embedding itself into the plant.

Ling couldn't do anything since the plants were all too far away from him. He just waited, the others are doing okay without him anyway, so he probably won't be needed to help them for now.
