The dragon shook its six heads as if to say that it would not be frightened by cheap tricks any longer. Then, six smirks flashed into existence and the dragon dodged around the seraph knight before snapping at the girl again, the attack fatal.

Nina watched the poor girl fall against the dragon. She seethed with rage, raising her spear. Flying uphigher and higher, throwing the spear at their serpent foe. Suddenly bright light enveloped the battlefield. It showered Daskar and Sayori, restoring them to their usual status. But the light burned the dragon, the weapons piercing the skin before returning to Nina's side. She land, ready to finish this.

The dragon was getting slower in its movements now, and its heads seemed to sag a bit. It apparently was not doing so well. It moved over and assaulted the reaper, but the guy looked like he did at the beginning of the battle when he was at full health.

The dragon let out a deafening roar that echoed across the area seeming to shake the very foundations of the earth. The tremor subsided suddenly and a giant column of blue mana surged around the dragon until it exploded sending iridescent, blue mana particles to fly gently through the air. In the dragon's place stood a man in black pants and a gray, button-up shirt with a long, dark coat over it. He was bent over and panting and when he looked up, sinister and extremely dark gray eyes that seemed to be tinted with a bit of green stared back at the party. His white hair was tousled by the snowy winds. He smirked slightly. "Great, now I have to explain myself," he muttered miserably.

"We... We just tried to kill a... man?"

Nina shook her head, not wanting to believe that the dragon was really a man. Sighing, she set her spear down, walking over to Daskar and the man. She too offered the man her hand, not caring for an explanation.

"Nevermind. Come, you don't need to explain yourself, at least not to us."

Grey smiled uneasily and took both of their hands, barely managing to stand up. He shook his head and shivered. "Thanks, guys," he said. "By the gods, how did you manage that assault? I thought I had you guys on the ropes!" he exclaimed looking astonished. The wind seemed to die down for now and flakes of snow no longer sprinkling down on the area.

"If it hadn't been for the girl over there, we might not have made it."

Nina realised that Daskar still hadn't spoken to Grey. She didn't need an explanation herself, but the man might need one. She pointed at the Soul reaper, silently drawing some attention to him.

"Don't mind his quietness, he's not much of a talker."

She then proceeded to looking at the man in front of her.

"I'm Nina Renval, you are?"

Sayori felt herself being shook and wearily opened her eyes. The first person she saw was Daskar, and he was holding Akina by the neck!

"What are you doing?!" Sayori asked, "Are you trying to strangle Akina?!"

Sayori instantly jumped to her feet and took Akina from Daskar, lightly rubbing Akina's neck and shooting a glare at the soul reaper.

"You're lucky that Akina's okay." Sayori said coldly.

Sayori turned to look for the dragon, but didn't see it, she just saw a man where the dragon had been and ran up to him, tugging on his clothes.

"Mister, Akina was wondering. Have you seen a six-headed meanie-face dragon?" Sayori asked.

Grey looked over at the curious man and the girl laying in the snow. She was the one he had wounded fatally. He was now hoping that she was all right. "Oh right. The name's Grey. Grey Vorlaccio," he introduced himself. "Hmmm.....with that kind of skill and the armor you're wearing, I'd say you three came from the Holy Capital right?" He paused and thought some more, scratching his head for a moment. "Aha! You're the Holy King's Royal Guard, aren't you?! That's the only explanation! Word got out that a dragon was roaming the plains, so the guilds acted on it, but only to achieve failure. So, with the problem unsolved, the Holy King decided to take care of it himself by sending folks that he knew could not lose! Am I in the ball park here?"

That's when Grey saw that the girl was apparently okay. "I've never seen a dragon because I was the dragon and it's hard to come by a mirror out here in the middle of nowhere," Grey replied smartly.

The king. Grey suddenly reminded her that they would have to head home and make sure the King heard their news. Moving over to Sayori, she knelt to the girl's height quietly.

"I think we should take him back to the Castle Sayori, Can I put you in charge of telling the king that Grey was the Dragon?"

She knew the girl could probably do, and most likely would want to.

Sayori looked at Nina and nodded, smiling and jumping happily. She huggled Akina, holding her by the waist with the doll's back facing her.

"Okay! Akina and I will tell him!" Sayori said with newfound enthusiasm in her voice, "Did you hear that Akina? We're trusted with something for once!"

It was decided. The Royal Guard would escort Grey to the castle so explanations could be made. No doubt the Holy King would be interested in hearing the results of the mission. However, in the icy wastelands of Glaciar, there was always danger lurking in the white expanse. As the group drew nearer to the Holy Capital, Cidade, the snow drifts began to get deeper. Suddenly, strange little creatures burst from under the snow. They hovered in place: little globs of flesh and mucus, tucked away inside shells that looked like they belonged to clams. Two little, creepy, red eyes were on each creature and they glared hungrily at the party. Each had six legs that ended at a sharp point. They looked dangerous. It was fight or turn back. But these little monsters were challenging the Holy King's Royal Guard; they were as good as dead...hopefully.
