Free from her stone imprisonment, Rosetta was lucky her limbs hadn't gone stiff. She rather hoped that never happened again. Having several ailments at the same time made her feel nauseous. Not even the summoner's spell could get rid of the nausea. But she couldn't get in her way.

Seeing Lyra had fallen beside her, she quickly reached into her pouch and brought out a Life Crystal. Lyra was only the only one that was dealing any real damage to the golem and they needed to take care of the thing as fast as possible. Its punch could take out people in one hit, from what she could tell after examining the damage done to the magic user.

[Rosetta] uses a Life Crystal on [Lyra]. Recovers 20% of Max HP.

"Don't overdo it," she whispered to Lyra as the woman began to awaken from unconsciousness. Rosetta then returned her attention the zombie dragon, which had flown closer while she had been petrified in stone. Gripping tightly to her rapier, Rosetta prepared herself. Even if she did move, the dragon's ability to fly would make retreating useless.

Shadow decided against it. There was no way he would be getting close to that thing, having completely crushed both Valincar, Lyra, and even Scather, who luckily survived such hit. Charing Mana to his hands, Shadow spun around in place and threw both Slashers upwards, phantom Slashers that materialized from his hands following shortly after the revolving spiral of midair lacerations that circled around him.

Suddenly, the first Slashers launched hit the contact point in the cone, and were launched forcefully at random directions while the replicas did the same, too. There was a sudden storm of phantom Slashers that soared through the battlefield at impossible speeds, somehow homing into both the Armored Golem and the Dragon Zombie and curving around his allies. When the Slashers didn't had anymore Mana left for them to keep existing, they vanished while the original ones returned to the Ombre Skillblade.

Lyra is Revived!

The enchantress stood up slowly and straightened her robes. She felt horrible. That dragon zombie had really done a number on her. "I thank you, Rosetta," she said with a surprisingly calm voice. She wasn't too happy, but there really was no point in dwelling on it, at least not in a situation as dangerous as this one. She really wanted to get away from the dragon zombie, but her allies had trapped her next to it. She shivered and decided to just ignore it before raising her hand to fire a huge volley of dark spheres at the golem.

She was completely out of mana. "Damn, this is gonna be touch and go from here on out," she cursed to herself before preparing herself for some hardship. It was a shame, too, for the thing was almost down; she could feel it.

With Scather gone, the zombie paralyzed, and herself out of mana, Sonia ran. The Golem had ended up right next to her, and with nothing else to do, she would have to try and be useful. Hitting the Golem with her staff, she burst into a full run, making some distance between herself and the metal monster.

Lily grinned, her paralysis ability had actually worked. It was incredible, and she still felt like lightning. She raised her bow up higher into the air and aimed it at the dragon-zombie she had paralyzed. Drawing back two arrows, she let the string loose to shoot them at the beast.

As if nothing were out of the ordinary, the trickster bound right up to the dragon, doffed his hat and bowed. "Good morn sir! I have something to show you." He reached into his hat and pulled out a yellow toad, which croaked but otherwise stayed put in his hand.

All of a sudden, he threw it up in the air where it poofed in a cloud of yellow dust, and a pelican unexpectedly flew out of it. While the dragon was probably distracted by the rather nonsensical display, Annon reached up into its giant ribcage and snagged a small object. Not giving it a second glance, he stuffed it in his coat with a manic grin.

With the dragon now paralyzed, Rosetta wasted no time in engaging the weakened creature. Quickly, she stepped within range and brought back her rapier.

[Rosetta] moves to [I-7].

Fire roared into existence and Rosetta allowed them to burn for a moment before attacking, making sure the strikes were deep enough to cause the dragon a good amount of damage. Hopefully.

[Rosetta] uses Blazing Roar on [Corael]. 24 Piercing Fire ATK DMG. 3 hits. Chance of Burn.

Darkness began to proliferate around the mass that was Valincar's robes. The mass that formed shook suddenly and spiraled upward, and as the darkness dispersed, it became evident that Valincar had returned. His head was already lowered with hands clasped together. A dark cloud of energy formed and he cast it at the golem nearby.

"Well, that doth conclude my entrance back into the fray," he spoke uneasily and drifted off somewhere where the golem couldn't brutalize him again.

The horrible golem had attacked Lyra instead of her! It had knocked her out instantly, and Sonia had no Mp to revive her. Knowing she had to draw the thing away from the others, she ran towards them. Stopping at a close enough distance, she began to wave her staff in the air, trying to make as much noise as possible.

"Come hit someone who can take it!"

"Lyra!" Lily shouted in surprise, she hadn't expected the golem to go after her again, but then again, Lyra had been hurting it a lot. But new joy came forth as Lily saw that Valincar had risen to rejoin the fight, and was already making himself useful by attacking the golem. Hopefully Valincar would draw it's attention away from the others. Lily decided that she was going to fight as well, since she still had the ability to be quicker than usual.

Lily's R-Ability: Archer's Distance activates (Target: Zortek). Lily moves to H-7!

Lily uses a mana fragment! 10 MP restored!

Lily crushed one of the mana fragments that they had in her hand and placed the dust over her chest. The dust was able to restore her mana somewhat, so that she could use another ability. Lily raised her bow, taking careful aim at the flying dragon-zombie thing. She pulled back an arrow, and just as she did, a flame blew into existence at the tip of the arrowhead. Lily released the arrow, which sped towards the zombie, now fully engulfed in flame.

"Che," Rosetta narrowed her eyes, displeased by what the golem had just done. It was becoming a nuisance. But her attacks would do almost nothing to it. "Let's get rid of this one first." Turning to the still paralyzed dragon, she allowed her rapier to be engulfed in flames before dealing a triple strike that would no doubt burn it to a crisp. As long as she hit it anyway.

Rosetta's lips tightened into a thin line. She would need to learn how to deal with flying creatures.

[Rosetta] uses Blazing Roar on [Corael]. 24 Fire ATK DMG. 3 hits. [Corael] is already burned.

The Dragon Zombie was practically surrounded by his allies, constantly assaulting at the undead beast, and the Ombre Skillblade had to go around in order to find the proper opening where he could, too, attack.

"No worries, Cloud," Valincar said, his face a blank slate, emotion unreadable. His gaze was focused on the large golem that had just took a whack at Rosetta. It was a good thing she was so tough. He smiled and raised his hand into the air. "O prophecied catastrophe, do not wait to rain down your wrath in the future! Strike down at the present! Impending Rapture!!" Large spheres of darkness appeared in the sky before pelting the golem, one after another, exploding on impact. Valincar watched as the golem began to slowly topple over, and lowered his arm in tandem with the enemy's movements.

All became quiet as the bodies of the monsters flashed red and disappeared. Not a single person moved. It was almost as if the air itself were still. Clapping filled the air, breaking the spell of silence. The mysterious substance began vibrating before sucking the party members into it like a mighty vortex. When all of them were gone, the mysterious substance seeped into the ground and disappeared, almost as if it were never there.

Valincar arose to the sound of more clapping. He readied his blade and looked all around, but had to shut his eyes. All around was a bright green light, lashing out at what seemed to be a rainbow light. Regardless, he had to open his eyes. He and his friends were on a large hunk of rock. Standing on the opposite end of the rock was a woman with her back to them. She was the source of the applause.

"Jenova," Cloud said as he used his enormous blade to stand before shaking off the shock with ease now.

Well, this was disconcerting. Rosetta took a brief moment to examine her new surroundings. She had not been expecting to be suddenly warped into a new land. Or, was it a new dimension. Rosetta didn't dwell on it. It was not a place she would want to return to any time soon, if at all. Though, Rosetta had to admit it looked rather nice. The green was quite beautiful, like the mako they had encountered.

Mako. Rosetta frowned. It was odd, how similar the colors were. Were they surrounded by mako? It wouldn't be a surprise, seeing as how they had been swallowed by it. But mako was supposed to be highly toxic. If anything, they should have been dead. Except Cloud. The blond seemed to be immune to the substance.

Hearing said male say something, Rosetta looked away from where she was staring at the green light to face the back of a tall and slim woman. Immediately, the elemental striker stiffened. Whatever feeling she was getting from the woman was not good. Gripping tightly to her rapier, she readied herself, as Cloud had done.

"And who," she slowly began, voice light and even. "May I ask, are you?" Her eyes narrowed. "Or, would the better question be what manner of creature are you?"

The clapping stopped suddenly, and the woman turned around. Her garments were white, a long dress covered in large hardened parts of what appeared to be some kind of casing. On her forehead, just above her almost lifeless, faded blue eyes was a nameplate that read:

"J E N O V A".

The woman smiled and spoke. "A question," she stated simply and appeared to ponder for a few seconds, one of her hands raising to her face, gently touching her cheek before frowning. "I have been called many things on my journey." She raised her other hand and pointed at Cloud. "That one knows me as the Calamity from the Skies...Jenova."

Silence.

Cloud almost growled and readied his blade. "So, this is the form you have taken? Are you embarrased by the monster that you really are?"

In response, Jenova put a finger vertically over her lips as if to say "shush." "I suppose that one has told you awful things about me...or, at least what many have considered awful. I merely call it a way of life." Her frown did not cease. She shook her head solemnly. "Asking me to stop doing what I do...is like me asking you to cease to eat what you eat...which would end in your death. This is merely the way of nature." She opened her arms out to encompass the party. "I am no calamity. The energy of worlds is merely my food. That is as simple as it gets."

Valincar was still shocked by this...creature. It couldn't even be called a woman. "And what about those who live on the worlds they devour?! What happens to them?!" he shouted at Jenova.

"They die." Jenova smiled sweetly as she spoke those words without care. She said it as if it were just a simple fact that were easy to accept. It seemed as though she took pleasure from seeing the shock on Valincar's face.

Zero had no idea what happened, during the battle with the undead dragon and golem she had experienced a moments worth of some sort of foul air, and then nothing. She was neither able to see nor hear, not even the sound of her own heart beating, it was as if she became void of life. Zero couldn't tell how long she had lasted in there, but when she finally seemed to return to normal, a flash of light enveloped the area and she found herself and the rest of the group in a different location.

The woman, apparently named Jenova, seemed to have with the Windwalker something in common, neither of them cared about how many deaths there is and how many there will be. But noticing some of the others ready their weapons, Zero did the same. She kept her dagger in its sheath but had a firm grip on it to draw it quickly if she had to. She was never one to talk much, the others could ask this woman whatever they wanted but she'd still remain silent.

Before Lily had even come to her senses, she sensed a sort of dangerous presence ahead. Whatever it was seemed to be draining the energy out of the very earth itself. Lily, tuned in with nature as she was, could feel the weakening waves of the space occupied by the strange presence. Lily's acute senses brought her to immediately ready her bow and knock an arrow to the string.

Lily finally recovered, much slower than the others had, but her strength lied in reflex and survival instincts, not recovery. The creature everyone had started to question came into view, and Lily nearly gagged. The creature's sense of fashion was absolutely terrible. Only one person she knew would wear such bland clothing.

"If that's true, then what needs to happen is your death," Lily spoke up, glaring at Jenova. "I don't care what you want here, but if it involves the entire world's destruction, we have to stop you. I still have something that I need to do, and I refuse to die before I complete it." Lily pulled her bow up, pointing it at Jenova, "Die quickly," Lily spat.

"Oh, please dear, do put that down before you hurt yourself," Jenova said and waved her hand, the arrow Lily had readied shattering like glass. "I have no plans of...what did you call it? Dying? I assume that means putting an end to my existence..."

"Wow, is this lady full of shit or what?" Lyra grumbled as she finally managed to get up. Her body was sore from the attacks from the previous monsters, but she knew that a confrontation with this creature was imminent. It seemed as though they'd only fight when she was ready, though. Lyra's ring began to glow. "Yeah, we're gonna put an end to your existence. It's just that plain and simple."

Cloud seemed emboldened by everyone's words and stepped forward. "You're better off just ending yourself, Jenova, because if I have to do it, I'm going to make it hurt," he told her threateningly, even though it seemed as though she was unfazed by his words, or anyone else's for that matter.

The rainbow energy surrounding them seemed to be struggling more and more against the bright green energy it was fighting. This caused Jenova to smile. "The time for your world is coming to an end. Do you have any last words?" Here, she tossed her head back and laughed loudly.

"Stay thy tongue! We don't wish to here any lies! This world....is far from dying... We're here to protect it! In the name of Luz Cascata--" Valincar shouted valiantly, but was interrupted by a yawn from Jenova.

"Does anyone else have any last words? Perhaps some that aren't so boring?" Jenova asked nonchalantly, waving a hand at Valincar as if dismissing him.

"Had about enough of this," Cloud said, his eyes downcast before suddenly roaring to life, his blade held out. The sound of his feet against the rock they were on echoed throughout the area. He roared as he lunged out to slash Jenova, but she merely smiled and pulled out a blade from behind her with which she used to easily block his attack. "Don't even," he said to her as if he knew what she was about to say. He withdrew his blade quickly and tried to slash her horizontally, but the blow was blocked again. It was only a distraction, for he charged up a fireball and planned on using it point-blank against her, but she saw that coming.

"A mile away, boy," she spoke gently and smirked, her form wavering. She laughed slightly as Cloud cast his spell only to have it go right through her. "Where were you aiming at?" Her expression grew a bit fiercer as she went on the offensive, heavy blows raining down on the ex-SOLDIER without mercy. He blocked them all, but he couldn't stop her from pushing him back. She feinted a downward blow only to distance herself and thrust her blade through Cloud's chest, ripping it out and watching the blood splatter the rock.

Clutching his wound, Cloud fell to one knee, before quickly jumping back as Jenova's blade came down and left a small crater in the rock. "A-attack, everyone! She must go down!" he yelled as the rest of the group prepared themselves for battle.

Lily starts in H-6

Lily moved closer to the front, near where Cloud was. She intended to get the jump on Jenova as quickly as possible. She also wanted to start chipping away Jenova's heath as soon as possible, and as much as possible. She took her spot and waited for the moment to strike.

So it was finally time for the inevitable fight, Zero drew her dagger, twirling it in one hand as she brought it in front of her, with the edge of the dagger facing Jenova. She could already tell this wasn't going to be easy, it would probably end like most fights before, where she would end up unable to do anything to help near the end.

Sonia starts at J5!

The minute the woman appeared the summoner had gotten a bad vibe. Not just because of her demeanor, but because of this sort of aura that surrounded her. She seemed to be covered with foreign energy, only the gods know what other worlds fell by her hand. And even without that feel to her, it was easy for one to tell she lived up to her title. Moving to the left ever so slightly, she took position for the inevitable battle.
