The girl didn't make any verbal response, rather she tightened her grip on him and nodded into his fur. However, she did heed his words and rather reluctantly went back out into the cold to grab her staff. In a moment she was back next to him, only this time she was trying to get on top of him. Almost like a child wanting a pony ride.

Zhaoyang started getting a bit indignant--he was not a horse by any definition! But he sighed to himself. They'd be able to move faster if she was on his back. The tiger bent down enough for the girl to hop up. She was quiet though. By all appearances, she was homeless, and had little to no money. But he didn't pity her. The girl had plenty of spirit, as he'd witnessed in battle.
As he still didn't know her, Zhao got curious. "Girl, what is your name?" He smirked a little. "If you're going to be riding on my back, I'd like to know."

It was almost as if she had forgotten it, that's what it sounded like. She hadn't uttered it or heard it in such a long time... maybe she had forgotten it. Biting her lip she shook her head for a moment, no she hadn't forgotten it. Not yet. She finished climbing up on top of the tiger, burying herself in his fur.

"Alexandria . . ." Zhao's deep voice rumbled. "A powerful name. My name is Zhaoyang, and it is a pleasure but we must leave now." The white tiger settled the girl so she wouldn't simply fall off, and took off running, powerful legs carrying them quickly. He hoped he wouldn't run into more soldiers, but the odds were against them. The quickest (and safest) way through the village was straight through the middle, where no doubt more were pouring in.

Alexandria joins the Party!
The duo didn't get to go very far however, just at the village gate there were more soldiers. They had heard the commotion, and when they didn't see their allies returning they instinctively readies themselves. The duo leaving the village must have been responsible for what happened. Well... they wouldn't be leaving.
At the sight of this, Alexandria pulled on Zhao's fur. They wouldn't be able to just break through the line. They would have to pick off some of them first... then they could escape this place. Sliding off of him, she felt the chill she had been feeling since the man had grabbed her once again. But it wouldn't stop her, she wouldn't let it. Taking out a pistol, she readied herself for a fight.
Prologue-II: Escape!

Zhaoyang stood resolutely in front of Alexandria, staring down the soldiers across from them. He just wanted to get this girl out of this forsaken place. He growled low in his chest. "We'll just have to go through all of you as well."

Readying her aim, she moved a little ahead of Zhao, her target being the left frontmost soldier. She wasn't quite sure she could actually hit him with the blizzard being as furious as it was. But she would have to try, it would be the only way they could get out of here. Taking her final precaution she pulled the trigger.

The tiger wasted no time with the guard that blocked, instead taking revenge on the soldier that dared hit his now companion. He didn't have to do much beyond a furious swipe at the air to send the the burst of fiery energy at the man, scorching him good. Zhao didn't even mince words with the man, only roared, sounding like a motor revving.

Once again Alexandria fire upon the man, this time at a closer range as she got away from him. The blade that cut her hadn't hurt much with a single slash, but it hurt a lot more as slashes piled on. And in this cold, having her clothing torn up was not good. Reaching the edge of the alleged battlefield, she decided Zhao could probably handle things with his superb agility.

Alexandria got Zhao's attention as he heard the unmistakable crack of a gunshot. He hadn't seen her carrying a gun before but now saw it clearly aimed in her hand. Versatility, certainly a trait he could admire. Glancing back at the soldier he'd blasted, he saw that the man still stood, if barely. He didn't waste more of his mana and simply swatted a swath of white energy at him, putting the soldier out of commission.

Watching the tiger get rid of one of the soldiers, she took aim on the other one. Quickly she found her target and pulled the trigger. A familiar crack of the gunshot was what came from her once more. Taking a look at the man, she wasn't sure if she had hit. She really hoped she had hit the man, every little bit of damage was useful in this situation.

Watching the tiger get rid of one of the soldiers, she took aim on the other one. Quickly she found her target and pulled the trigger. A familiar crack of the gunshot was what came from her once more. Taking a look at the man, she wasn't sure if she had hit. She really hoped she had hit the man, every little bit of damage was useful in this situation.

Zhaoyang crouched as soon as the girl called out, hopefully avoiding getting hit by a fly away bullet. Feeling nothing, he reacted quickly to the soldier's strikes, easily moving out of his reach this time. The tiger lashed out in retaliation with a wave of his pyrokinetic energy, growling as he did. "What? Nothing to say for yourself?"

The soldier swung once, twice, but both times missed Zhao as the feline creature dodged out of the way. Still not hearing a retort, the white tiger smirked, exposing his fangs to the cold air. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" Not waiting for an answer, Zhaoyang crouched and gave a short roar, blasting the man with that ripple of white energy. Satisfied when the man fell, he turned to focus on the remaining soldiers, who had before now remained defensive.

Two down, three to go. And they looked as though they were ready to come at the duo head on. If they all had the abilities the other two had, being swarmed wouldn't be in their best interest. Sure Zhaoyang could dodge fairly well, but she wasn't quite as nimble. If needed, she best be ready to heal either of them. Putting her pistol back into its place within her dress she reached for the staff on her back.

Zhaoyang activates Trigger: Unleash Power! Atk, Def, Int, and Spr increased by 25%! He's Super Saiyan!
He'd felt a surge of power before, but caught up in the heat of battle he hadn't paid it any attention. Right now, staring at the defending soldiers, he could feel it surge again. Zhaoyang could almost taste it, it was so strong. And these soldiers, who did they think they were? Taking on a fallen star twice as large as a full grown tiger would be considered suicide to others. He did not admire their choice, nor did he pity them. For this and what orders they chose to follow, he only felt rage.
Beneath his smirking and sarcastic baiting, he was angry and he was getting sick of seeing their faces. "Woe unto you who dare stand in my way . . ." That power surged again, like it was begging for release.
Zhaoyang started to rumble, deep in his chest, energy building until he could feel even his soul begin to crackle. Taking in a deep breath, the tiger let out a thunderous roar, his eyes suddenly flaming with a cyan flare that also expelled from his mouth. His paws seemed to melt the snow near them and sky blue flames licked at his fangs as he spoke again.
"For you incur the wrath of a king!"

Noticing Zhao get full use of the energy he had been building up over the course of this battle and the previous, Alex ran over to him. He seemed to have some sort of use for all of it, and released it accordingly. She was definitely safer over by him now, rather than off on her own.

Zhaoyang actually yowled as he was hit, turning into growling as he faced the one who'd caused the most pain to him. Fueled by this rage, he actually slashed the man with his mana-infused claws, causing a brighter fiery wave to hit the soldier. He practically roared in his face, bright blue flames rippling out from within his throat.

Watching as Zhao suddenly received an myriad of hits from the opposing soldiers, Alexandria quickly went to work. Focusing all of her energy into removing his burdens, she sent an array of green mana at him. Soon the mana healed a good deal of the damage he had taken, though not all of it. He seemed to be in better standing though.

He snapped his teeth but the soldier didn't get back up, so he rounded on the other who dared strike him. The man appeared confident, but Zhao could sense the fear in him as he bared his pearly fangs, eyes still flaming.

It cost a new wound, but he struck in retaliation immediately, killing the man before he could even cry out. There was only one left.
