Since this game is pretty much taking away many precious minutes of our life as we continue to try and finish the unlimited side quests... I propose that we share our adventures (coughstoriescough) with everyone else. Whether it be when you were first a noob and hit a chicken and everyone attacked you, to when you tried to pickpocket a guard in broad daylight. Spread the humor and we can laugh at ourselves in two months time and realize what retards we were in the realms of Tamriel.

So, er, yeah... Post if you want. Have no idea if this is going to be a success or not, but here goes nothing!

Here are some tips for you, Butters, when you finally start playing:

Heavy Armor Warrior > Light Armor Warrior > Archer > Mage

...is pretty much how it goes. If you want to do mage, I'd advise to put the difficulty on Apprentice or lower difficulty.

I shall keep this in mind. I wanted to do kind of a spellsword thing . . but I also wanna try everything available. XD My first character will probably be a total failure.

My friend totally got me caught on the Dark Brotherhood, so I'll probably try a light armor character when I get the game. Work on my stealth and stuff early on.

Stealth is ridiculously overpowered.

My archer/thief was pretty much impossible to find unless the enemy was like...right next to her AND looking at her.

At level 27 with 64 levels in Sneak.

I'm thinking about going on a dagger only run through the game. Any suggestions on race? =\

Khajiit. Their stealth is ridiculously high in the beginning of the game.

So. I just talk to the wizard who sends me to get the bloody stone and I'm just about to leave Whiterun. This stupid wizard questions me about whether I'm a wizard or not and challenges me to a duel in the middle of the city. Being about level 2 I think it'll be easy. I accept and get slammed with two fireballs and die.

I reload the game.. Go back to the same spot and he asks me again! I refuse him this time and he says he won't take no for an answer. He then proceeds to own me. Frustrated I reload it again and decline the duel and make a run for the gate and think I'm safe. He comes out of the city and starts to chase me while throwing fireballs and jumping around. I run all the way to the mountains and get slammed in the head by a giant club from some giant that I never saw before in my previous games.

If this is what adept difficulty is like, I'm scared of what the highest difficulty is. Neutral

The Stone? You mean the Dragonstone Tablet in Bleak Falls Barrow?

Farengar seems like a chill guy to me, and he's the only wizard in Whiterun. I've never had that experience. Did you do anything bad/stupid to Farengar before in this save file?

Nope. Not the guy you buy magic from. Just some random asshole standing by the exit to Whiterun. I just walked past him and he was like:

"You call yourself a wizard?! Challenge me"

-Sure
- No, go find somewhere else to stoke your ego

Both ways he ends up fighting you. :S

I have never had that experience.

Try fast traveling to Riverwood or somewhere outside of Whiterun.

You can't do that while enemies are nearby or something. So I just ran into the mountains avoiding the troll. I'm fine until I go back to Whiterun.

Thanks for the advice though. Very Happy

Not so.

They don't give up easily though. You just have to find somewhere to hide and they put away their weapons, scratch their heads and go away! Very Happy

I LOVE that feature. Especially when I'm using my assassin character.

I can just go into the corner and snipe them. They'll never find me unless the touch me.

Endgame?

What nonsense is this?

Do you mean the end of the storyline? Yes, you can continue after the story. You can actually do every quest before doing a lot of the storyline quest.

Okay, so. It only took forever, but I've finally played it. And, gods willing, I'd never sleep again if I could.

Basically, I've run around with my bow, catching fish, hunting deer and the like, skirted around giants, killed vampires, read a crap ton of books, made a bunch of food, even enchanted my weapon, and I haven't seen a dragon yet. XD The amount of freedom is ridiculous.

So for all the PC players out there, what mods do you use, if any? I used all the graphics enhancements from the STEP compilation, and the Skyrim Redone Overhaul to make the combat and perk trees much more interesting and intend to use mods from the GEMS compilation to further improve the mechanics of the game. I also use Better Towns and Villages Compilation, and the Places mod that adds four lore-friendly villages to Skyrim.

I also use Opethfeldt ENB with SweetFX and some stuff that enables fist weapons and fist-fighting in general.

With all these mods all I really do is stare at 4096x4096 res dirt, very entertaining...though I am kidding. I play a Dark Elf/Dunmer Longbow Archer that summons familiars, sometimes use crossbows, dabble heavily in alchemy and cooking.

So far, I've only used this Dragons Souls-to-Perks mod. Simple, doesn't crash the game, and gives you reason to use those souls you end up having extra.

I don't use mods. My friends bug me to try some, but I never end up doing it. I haven't even gotten the expansion packs. That game paid for itself with the time that I played it. I don't need to "expand" my experience.
