Re: Sky's Limit
Tannas stared at the captain's still body. He should've listened. Lucan had told him he had a bad feeling, and he should've listened but he went anyway. The thief could've stopped him though. He was sure Lucan had been following him to the dock, why didn't he stop the mage? Lucan could've easily popped in front of him and did that little thing that made Tannas feel like agreeing to anything . . . So what stopped him? Some misguided sense of respect . . ? That if he finally let Tannas out from under him (surely a bad choice of words), maybe he would stop being so damn bitchy?
"God dammit." If someone were to ask him if he was scared right then, he would say no. In all honesty, he was far too focused on being furious to be terrified of his coming death.
